They came in an leveled the floor. Laid tile on top and one row on wall. Did a beautiful job. Their choice of grout really complimented the décor in our bathroom. They were neat and very professional and on time. We have used them before and always have had good results.

We were extremely pleased with the work and the care used during the initial consultation all the way through the installation. We had gone to the store a couple of times to look at and pick tile samples, a couple of which we borrowed to take home and check how the colors would look against our paint and carpet. We chose a porcelain tile and they even mentioned we could choose a matching or contrasting color grout to go with it, if we didn't want plain white, so we chose a close match. We thought we might like to try orienting the tiles in a diamond pattern just to make it a little different, but they told us that that was a dated looked and so we went with a staggered "brick" look (we are grateful they let us know this so we wouldn't waste time putting in tiles in a dated look; no other company we looked at for tiles and installation bothered to say anything about our diamond pattern choice as being dated). This was a 2-day job: first day demo of our old mosaic tile floor, floor prep, laying tile; second day laying grout, putting back quarter rounds on baseboards and cleanup. On the first day Milton took took charge and did skillful demo work and set the new tiles in place doing a phenomenal job; he was very neat and meticulous and he got the tiles lined up evenly with a nice symmetry of view fitting the tiles into the space. The second day Tom came and put in the grout and as he was finishing pointed out that he caulked the seam of the baseboards and showed how the chipped paint on the quarter rounds came off due to no primer on the wood. He cleaned up as much as possible when he finished. A lot of dust was generated during all the work over the 2 days, but we were told this would happen so we were prepared to clean this afterward. (They did have a shop vac and cleaned as much as they could but dust also settled in places anyway.) The new floor looks terrific. We are very happy with the quality of workmanship and the hardworking staff who were polite, thorough, resourceful and very helpful. We would recommend this company to others.

They did an excellent job. When they came, they were nice and neat, and made sure the floor looked like it had always been there. They staggered the joints and lined up the grains. It looked great!

The room we had carpet installed in was 160 square foot. We didn't have any dislikes except price was little high. They were very good. We went to other places but their customer service was really good. They had the carpet that we liked and more of a selection than the big box retailers that we didn't want to go to.

Frederick's is class act in every regard. It's a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere in their store. They were very accommodating in providing me samples on the various times I stopped into the store. It took me a while to make a decision on the floor color, so I was in and out of the store with samples probably more than the average customer. The appointment for the estimate was timely and informative as to what my options were. The installation took 4 days. The installer was a master at his craft. He?was polite, and he was conscientious of keeping my house clean by laying down drop clothes over every area that he walked upon. He kept his tools, the materials and the scrap very neatly organized and confined to small areas.? I could not believe how perfectly he installed the flooring without damaging any walls or baseboards. He had to remove all of the 1/4 round parts of my baseboards (which are painted), and when he replaced them, he did such a good job that?it didn't appear as if they had ever been removed. I thought I was going to have to do some touch-up painting after the job, but there was no need for it. The grout lines are perfectly?parallel with the kitchen walls, and the tiles were cut perfectly to butt up against the cabinet bases where there was no 1/4 round to cover the seam. The grouting was very uniform. The stair noses were also cut perfectly, and they?butted up to the stairwell?walls with no gaps. There were no dents anywhere in the metal stair noses or transition strips. There was one oak transition strip that went from the tiles to my hardwood floors, and it was stained beautifully -?a perfect match. The job is absolutely beautiful, and the Armstrong Luxury tile is warmer on the feet than?ceramic flooring. I already tracked mud into the house, and it cleans up very easily. I am very, very happy with this product and the?whole process.

The installation was good. They have a nice show room to give you ideas and they have a lot of good samples of some things that you could take out. They are just super friendly. I took my time with them and they even signed me up for a 12-months same as cash. I had to come up with the money and make monthly payments with no interests. I am a big fan.

When it was time to replace our kitchen floor we had 4 different service providers come to our house for quotes and options. The quote provided by Frederick's was in the middle of the range of quotes. We chose Frederick's since they had great reviews on Angie's List. Nick was punctual and easy to work with. He answered all of our questions and made suggestions on options. We had chosen to install porcelain tile we had selected from another provider. This was not a tile that was in their store but Nick ordered a sample for us and was able to get the tile we wanted. Since we were installing vinyl flooring on the stairs from the kitchen to the basement, I used the sample Nick had ordered to compare with the vinyl samples at the store. I found a great match. The installation took three days and the installers were very friendly and did a great job. They showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves each evening before they left. The tile in the kitchen and the vinyl on the stair looks fantastic! I would absolutely use Frederick's in the future.

The slab under my kitchen was uneven, so they added concrete to smooth out the low spots before applying the engineered wood. They also removed and replaced several of the baseboards to ensure that the wood tucked under them would fit perfectly. They did a beautiful job and corrected a few minor problems quickly, expertly and at their own expense. In addition to our flooring, they also did a number of general handy-man repairs around our home, all quickly, cheaply and expertly.

This company takes a great deal of pride in their work, and they were amazing from start to finish. We had very worn old engineered floors with just a thin layer of wood which also had water stains. They didn't try to oversell and were very honest about suggesting we could refinish rather than replace. Also, with installing our carpet and vinyl flooring ---I had broken my wrist and was unable to clear the room of furniture. They offered full service and for a reasonable charge took great care in moving my furniture and returning it. The gentleman that refinished my wood flooring was a "true" craftsman and did an absolutely amazing job. This was a very tedious job as parts had to be hand sanded. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and accommodating they service and staff were. Very high end quality, good price, no pressure, and overall just really did amazing work. My husband and I really though we were going to haver to rip out our current flooring--it's gorgeous now

I chose Frederick's because of their good rating on Angie's list and because they have a showroom not too far from my house. Some time ago in 2013 I had asked for an estimate for carpeting 2 upstairs bedrooms and the stairs. Rick came out and made the measurements and sketches. Rick is very pleasant, knowledgeable, and through. I decided to have wooden stairs installed rather than carpet them again (the carpeting on the stairs only lasted a year). I then decided to also have carpeting installed in the living room and dining room in addition to the bedrooms. My wife and I went to the Frederick's showroom and Rick helped us pick out the carpeting. He then came back and measured the living room and dining room and sent us estimates. I was surprised that he still had the measurement s for the bedrooms on file. I really appreciated that the estimates were detailed and printed so that there would not be any misunderstanding. Frederick's then called me to set up the installation dates. I appreciated that they let me know what I needed to do to prepare for the carpet installation. On the installation date the worker's (Mike and Cameron) arrived on time and went right to work. Mike was a highly skilled and experienced carpet installer and he worked rapidly. They finished the bedrooms on one day and the living room and dining room the next day. They pushed hard to finish in 2 days without even taking breaks. My wife and I were very pleased with the carpeting and with the installation. The seams were invisible and I couldn't find any flaws in the installation. The whole experience was great. It was a tremendous improvement from the job I had done a year earlier by a big-box home improvement store. I would definitely use them again.

We picked out the vinyl pattern at the store. The Technician came to our house. He measured the flooring and called us the next day with the estimate. We went to the store and put a downpayment of $800 and got an installation date that was within a week. The Installer arrived on time finished the job within the proposed time - one and a half days.

The flooring installation was excellent! Removal of old counters and installation of tile backsplash was done by Bob. When removing the counter top by the stove, pulled some of the paint off the wall. Instead of telling us, the stove was pushed back so that we couldn't see it. Luckily we had just painted and were able to repair the area without too much trouble. When installing the backsplash, we had some minor issues with this same person. He had put the same pattern in two rows right above the sink. I noticed and he needed to correct. Additionally, there seems to be a slight indent by a light switch that could not be easily fixed, so we left it because most people would not notice and fixing could present more of a problem than leaving it. Scheduling was slow as the floor installer was on vacation for a month and they got back logged, but the job he did was excellent and well worth waiting for him.

We had hardwood floors and carpet installed by Frederick's throughout our house. They got the work done well and very fast. We had a couple of places that were not done to our satisfaction, but they have said they will come and fix them. Their install price seems pretty high, but we were more comfortable working with a smaller company than a big box store.

The men arrived on time and worked efficiently and quickly. Their work required was not easy because the room had an odd layout. Even so, the work was meticulous . The design of both staircases were curved, instead of the straight-line design of most stairs. Despite the difficultly, the installation of both the carpet and the linoleum was perfect. They cleaned up everything after they finished. Also, they answered all my questions thoroughly.

They said it would take two days and the job was done in a day and a half. The Installer arrived on time and did an excellent job.

We visited their showroom on a Saturday explaining what we were considering doing. Since we had already contacted another company I explained we were obtaining multiple estimates. We had already selected the material we were looking for and Frederick's also carried that brand. We made an appointment for them to come out and measure the area. Within a week they measured and provided an estimate, which was almost exactly what I guessed the cost would be. We waited a couple weeks for the first company to get back to us. The first company still hadn't got back to us three weeks after Frederick's provided their estimate so we decided to go with Frederick's which had great Angies List recommendations. Frederick's set a date for installation which we agreed to. When the day of install came the installer, Mitch, arrived on time ready to get to work.. He made space in our living room to place the appliances into while he performed his magic. Mitch was very concerned that the appliances might leave marks on our carpeting so he put down plywood on the carpet to protect it. Day one was all prep work, moving appliances, removing moulding and preparing the floor for the new tile. Day two was putting down the glue and new floor tile, almost 500 sq. feet of it. Day three was grouting, putting the moulding and appliances back in place and general cleanup. We are very happy with the total job and stated that to Rick from Frederick's. Rick said the total cost would be a little less since there were some items which were not needed. How's that for honesty, another company I did some business with were reluctant to deduct the cost of material not used. The installer was great and didn't waste any time doing the job. Three days to completion was what I estimated. ps: The first company called us on the Friday before the install was scheduled to ask if we still wanted an estimate saying that our paperwork had been misplaced. Fortunately, my wife answered the call and told them politely we no longer needed their estimate. I wouldn't have been that nice, apparently they are so busy that a $5000 job is too small to worry about. So be it. Thanks again to Fredericks Floor Covering!

From the selection process to the installation the total experience was terrific. Nick provided very detailed information on what type of carpet would meet our needs. Nick arrived on time to measure the square footage ,,,,was very detailed....very thorough in in calculations. Was very courteous and took time to answer our questions. Mike and Mike were on time to install the new carpet..They worked non stop ...final results were outstanding! Mike and Mike moved necessay furniture with the utmost care. They too were very courteous.We will definitely be making additional purchases from Frederick's.

Everything went very well. Nick was informative and helpful; he was not pushy or condescending; he offered appropriate and useful suggestions. The estimate had to be re-done because we arranged for the furniture moving to be done instead by movers (we had a number of other heavy items that needed to be moved within the house, so we included the activity room in that (separate) process. Thus, the carpet installer had a bare room to work in.) The installation went well - no problems.- - can not find the seam, even tho I know it is there. It was a small inconvenience to go to their store, located out of our neighborhood. Will return there when we re-do the next room.
