Description of Work: Husney has been our landscaper for at least 18 years. We recently downsized from a large, very landscaped yard to a cluster-type home. They will be continuing the landscaping, which it needs. Excellent, family run business.

Description of Work: Provider seemed very knowledgable and provided clear, detailed estimate of product and services. Did not like the fact that removal of existing trees and plants would be done by sub-contractor, who I had no background on. Although provider's own estimate was competitve, did not select them because added price of subcontractor made quote higher than others.

Thank you for the review on our sales estimate. Hopefully we explained that we are not in the tree service industry and when we have trees or large shrubs that need to be removed and stump ground, we call on our tree service to partner with us on these types of projects. The tree service handles that part of the project and our landscaping handles the new or replacement plantings.

Description of Work: I asked this company to come to my home to give me an estimate to fix some sprinkler heads which were leaking and/or malfunctioning. Dan Husney came out and gave me an estimate and investigated what was going on with my system. In the process, while he was checking out part of the system, the valve snapped off in his hand. I didn't say anything about it, but he immediately offered to fix the broken valve, which I appreciated. Ultimately, though the price that he quoted was fair for the work that needed to be done, money was a little more tight for me and I ultimately did my own research and fixed most of the issues myself. I still plan to use this company for work should there be some problems that I can't fix on my own.

This work was a follow-up to extensive landscape work performed by Husney (after our home addition was completed in 2005). That landscape job was carefully planned, throughly explained and meticulously executed. We have enjoyed a 100% survival of planting done last year!! Additionally, Husney revamped our 1/2 acre sprinkling system. It is working flawlessly for the first time in 10 years. They may not be the least expensive, but in light of their superb work, they may be the best value out there. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: They did inspection, fertilization, week control, pruning, trimming, bed clean up, re-edging, and new mulch on numerous and extensive plant beds.

RECEIVED QUOTE. PRICE WAS 3X EVERY QUOTE WE RECEIVED. THE COMPARISON OF THE WORK WAS SIMILAR. VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND THE DESCRIPTION OF WORK WAS VERY DETAILED. THE PRICE WAS NOT COMPETITIVE AT ALL, I EVEN DISCUSSED THIS PRICE WITH OTHER COMPANIES/FRIENDS, AND EVERYONE AGREED (TOO HIGH.) I WOULD HAVE HIRED THEM, BUT THE PRICE WAS UNACCEPTABLE.

WE HAD THE COMPANY SERVICE OUR IRRIGATION SYSTEM LAST YEAR AND I WAS MUCH MORE SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE. THIS TIME, THE WORK SEEMED TO BE DONE TOO QUICKLY. WHEN I TRIED THE DIFFERENT ZONES, IT SEEMED LIKE MAYBE SOME OF THE HEADS WERE NOT DUG UP ENOUGH BECAUSE THEY WERE SPRAYING ERRATICALLY (IN THE STREET, THE STOP SIGN, ETC.) I SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED THAT PROBLEM TO THE PERSON WHO CAME TO DO THE REPAIR.

OUR IRRIGATION SYSTEM HAD NOT BEEN FUNCTIONING PROPERLY FOR YEARS, IN SPITE OF REGULAR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE. I HIRED HUSNEY COMPANIES TO ASSES AND OVERHAUL THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. WORKING AN ENTIRE DAY, THEY DISCOVERED, REPLACED AND REPAIRED NUMEROUS FAULTY PARTS THAT HAD NOT BEEN IDENTIFIED BY THE PREVIOUS CONTRACTOR. ART, DID A THOROUGH JOB AND GAVE US A GREATLY NEEDED EXPLANATION OF THE OPERATION OF OUR SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM HAS PERFORMED FLAWLESSLY SINCE. I WILL BE HIRING THEM FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE.
