To begin, they were extremely hard to get a hold off. I called 3 different times and had left a message before finally getting someone on the phone to set up an appointment for an estimate. The woman who answered the phone was very nice, however, and got me an appointment quickly. The person coming out to give an estimate was prompt and very nice. However, the price quoted was twice the amount of other quotes I had received. Based on the high quote, we chose not to go with Barberton Tree. About a week after our quote and after we had already made an appointment with another company, we got a phone call from Barberton Tree asking if we had gotten a lower quote and letting us know that they could be competitive with that quote. It was frustrating to me because I was thinking - you're supposed to provide your best quote at the time of the estimate - not now come back and say that you can do it for a lesser amount. I just didn't feel this was very professional and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend them for this reason.

I find them to be very reasonable. Their prices are lower than competitors. They came right out and took care of this tree. I was surprised to find that their price for this project was lower than I had expected. We had one miscommunication issue a few years ago and they took care of it within a couple days.

Just before the crew arrived on time, rain began to pour. After a few minutes, they decided to go ahead and work in the rain which fortunately slowly diminished. The two tall trees were very close to the house but were trimmed without incident, using ropes. With one tree, they used the cherry-picker that could be used while in the driveway. They climbed the other tree to trim it to avoid driving the heavy cherry-picker on the lawn. Even more impressive was the fact that one tall stump was 100 feet from the truck and yet they manually carried even the heavy wood chunks to it. I don't know if they kept the equipment off the lawn because it was wet or if they always avoid the chance of making ruts. The work and clean-up was superb. The next day, one man arrived with the stump grinder. I was surprised he didn't call first but I didn't mind. He ground the remaining portons of the old stumps and noticed that we also had an old small stump close by, which he asked about also grinding. He did not charge for this minor extra work. My only complaint is about the grindings left from one stump that had extensive roots, necessitating a wide swath to grind. Those grindings were left too spread out with a depression in the middle, which I back-filled using a shovel and a rake. This problem was minor enough that I still gave all A grades.

The three-man crew arrived about 30 minutes ahead of schedule, which would have been a problem had my wife not been home to point them in the right direction. Once they got started, however the job went smoothly, and the foreman made sure I was consulted before the workers started cutting each tree, to make sure the finished product matched our estimate paperwork. Once the job was done, the crew cleaned up and left everything in our yard and driveway in good order. This is the third year we've had Barberton Tree over to our yard and we're completely satisfied with them.

They did a great job. They were knowledgeable and did just what I wanted them to do. They gave me the lowest estimate. I have used them before. They cleaned my yard up nicely.

We have been using their services for about ten years. When we call, they send someone out promptly to give an estimate. they call the day before to let you know they will be there and what time they will come. They offer a senior citizen discount. The work is good and they do it to your satisfaction.

My experience was great. They gave us a quote. They arrived on time. They did what they said they would do. Their price was reasonable. We would certainly recommend them to other folks.

The estimator, K.C., showed up promptly to meet me on my lunch hour. He originally gave me an estimate of removal of two pines (60-70' tall), stump removal, and removal of all debris for $637.00. He explained that they were on "winter rates," which is substantially lower. Fifteen years ago I had had an estimate from a well known firm, and the work was going to cost about $400 PER TREE! That put me off the project for over a decade. I told K.C. I was thinking of doing the next 3 trees at the same time but wasn't sure yet. He said he could add those trees on for a nominal amount. The total for five trees was $1100.00. They called the day before, did the work while I was at work, and it was great! The stump removal was a separate job (but included in the price). That worker contacted me at work one day and asked if he could do the work that p.m. When I got home, the stumps were gone, and even my driveway was blown free of even the smallest wood chip!

We didn't use Barberton because another Angie's List A-rated contractor gave us an estimate for the same work that was less than half of what these people wanted!

They arrived on time and in less than 90 minutes, the work was done and the area completely cleaned up. Because another crew was to come several days later and grind the stumps, they were willing to accept a check for just the work completed. This is the second time I've had them come out to my home (first time was about 2 years ago and they thinned out and trimmed 2 very large maple trees). At least one person on their work team has "people skills" can talk with customers. Very polite, got the job done quickly and efficiently, leaving the area cleaned up. I got a quote for $400 more from another company before going with Barberton.

My goal was to get four bids (two local/ two big name) and go with what I thought was the best and cheapest. I settled for three because the fourth (big name company) did not return my call. Barberton was the cheapest by several hundred dollars and they got it done sooner than I had expected it would be.

They had to work in a very small area and they were very efficient. There was about 6 men and 3 trucks. They didn't damage the barn when removing the branch.

Company arrived as scheduled. Cut and removed all branches, trees and debris as expected and left the yard as they found it. An excellent job.

They were very prompt, polite, and professional, from the first cut to the final clean-up.

I WAS VERY PLEASED. THE CONTACT PERSON, DENNY LUCK, WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY COULDNT COME OUT DUE TO WEATHER and OTHER ISSUES. I WAS INVITED TO WATCH and GIVE MY FEEDBACK WHEN THE WORK WAS BEING DONE. THE WORKERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE PRICE WAS FAIR ACCORDING TO OTHER LANDSCAPE FIRMS I TALKED WITH. EVERYTHING WAS DONE TO MY SATISFACTION. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN IF NEED BE.

OVERALL GOOD WORK, PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS, GOOD CLEAN UP, PROFESSIONAL and EASY TO WORK WITH.

CALLED BARBERTON, THEY GAVE ME A ESTIMATE. THEY KEPT TO THE ESTIMATE. THEY COULD NOT CLEAN UP THE YARD DUE TO THE SNOW. TOLD ME THEY WOULD RETURN. THAT IS WHAT THEY DID AT NO COST TO ME. DID A GREAT JOB ON THE CLEAN UP ALSO.

I FEEL THAT I WAS OVER CHARGED. THE TREE CLIMBER WAS EXCELLENT. IT WAS VERY INTERESTING TO WATCH HIM. ANOTHER MAN SEEMED TO BE AN APPRENTICE AND I DIDN'T LIKE HIS TRIMMING. THE MAIN TREE THAT CAUSED MY STORM DAMAGE LOOKS VERY NICE.

WE HIRED THEM BEFORE TO GRIND A STUMP AND THEY DID THE JOB WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF CALLING THEM. WE WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN.

IVE USED THEM BEFORE, WILL DO SO AGAIN, AND THINK THEY DO A PROFESSIONAL JOB AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

THEY CLEAN UP NICELY AFTER THEMSELVES AND THEY DON'T STOMP ON MY FLOWERS THEY ARE CAREFUL.
