The Davey Tree Expert Company

The service turned out very good. They did what they said they were going to do, there was no problem, they cleaned up and the price was what they quoted. They are very consistent. We've used Davey Tree for probably 25 or more years here, maintaining the trees, fertilizing and taking care of our trees and the plants around the house. They also have a depth of company so that if there's like special equipment that they need, they have access to that or special crews. So they are able do a wide range of tasks and they do it reliably. We've had other folks in the past maybe smaller companies that didn't have all the equipment. When I had questions about some of the trees, they came out right away and explained what the issues were with some of the trees. They have been responsive. They are a good company. They are a little bit pricey but they do quality work and they are reputable.

The price was average. They did not actually come out here; it was all done over the phone. My interaction with them was very good. It was a price quote, that's all.

Basically, when I called them they came to the house, and they sent somebody to see what needed to be done. Then they gave me an estimate later. So that part was okay. They sent someone in a company car. So that was good. That was the best part. They responded well. They were very responsive. They did a better job when taking the tree down than they did with the trimming. They did come on time.

It turned out well. Quality of service efficiently.

It turns out pretty good. They come when they are supposed to. They do a pretty good job. The work turned out good. They should be a little more reasonable with price.

A large limb fell from our oak tree and landed on cable wires. Even though it was not an emergency they came the same day and removed the limb without damaging the cable or the plants that were under the branch. very responsive and professional!

I had a terrible scale problem with the large oaks in the yard. They applied a new type of insecticide on the first 6 feet of the trunk and it killed the scale quickly. They also root fertilized a total of 8 trees. I thought the price was a little high but the results were great.

They do fine work. I will continue with that company. I think they're a little pricey. They could come down a little bit. If they could do that, that would be nice. However, I intend to stay with the company. That's the only objection I have. I talked to other people who have fertilizing done and they're paying somewhat less but it may not be as good as Davey. I have no problem with punctuality. The quality is good. They take good care of my yard. I'm satisfied that way.

Everything worked out wonderful. They were very courteous and worked with our schedules and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone. We already have them signed up for next year. We got 3 estimates and they were comparable with everyone else. They were kind and went above and beyond.

The job took a couple of days. The crew was great! Very professional, very respective of our property. They answered any questions we had. They cleaned up the yard. Other than the trees being gone, nothing else was disturbed.

Davies is about the highest priced Tree / yard service there is but they deliver exactly what you sign them up to do and clean up so well you wouldn't know they were there. I would use them again. I suggest you do to. Very professional and educated.

Their service went great, they come back once a year. They diagnosed a tree and last year they had provided a spray of some sort and I kind of called them late in the season, so it didn't do that much, but he called me back in the spring and said he had another idea of how to treat it and he did and it's so working great, the tree looks wonderful. The tree had a beetle that was eating it, they were really bad last year and I have not seen one, so I don't know whatever he's done, has been great. They're a little bit on the pricier side, but I think they're worth it when they do such a great job.

It went really well. Everything went well. I like the service. I've been with them for 12 years. They are expensive but they are very professional. They deliver. They have very good service and good customer service. Their professionalism stands out to me.

They did good. I have used them before and they are very good. I am thinking of using them very shortly again to do fertilization of all the trees.

The workers are great. They are pretty prompt. They leave the area very clean. I would recommend them to friends and family.

We haven't had them for a couple of years but they were okay. I would go with them again if needed.

It's a fine experience. We're satisfied. Every year their prices go up a little bit, which we're not happy about, but we're satisfied. They can come and aerate our lawn with their equipment that they use on other people's lawns and we have never gotten a disease in our grass from them, which has happened with another company we've used. So we're pretty confident that they maintain their equipment. They clean it and they're not spreading disease from neighborhood to neighborhood.

Everything went as planned,were onsite most of the day.

I called them twice. The first time, no one called me back. The second time, it took them 4 days to call me back. I got angry and later cancelled our appointment. I won't work with them at all ever again.

We have used Davey Tree for several years to keep the trees around our house trimmed, and have always been very pleased with their work. Their entire staff is professional and has always communicated well with us. The most recent work done by Davey was, as usual, excellent. In this case the branches that needed to be trimmed were less easily accessible than was initially apparent. The Davey crew put in the extra time and effort to do the job properly without increasing the cost over the original cost estimate. It was obvious that they took the care to do the job correctly in spite of the unanticipated extra work required. As usual, they also took the time to thoroughly clean up not only our roof and yard, but the neighbors yard as well.

We have had Davey Tree treat a large Austrian Pine on our property for several years. The original Arborist Doug was great. He seemed knowledgeable and explained treatment that the tree needed. When a new person was assigned to our account, the service became inconsistent. In 2012 the tree was treated in May & July, but this year in April & late Sept . Seems like they may have missed the mark in killing the pest. Also we called last year when we noticed that the top of the tree appeared to be dying and were informed (after several years of paying ~$500/yr to treat) that they could only spray the tree from our yard and could not spray from the neighbor's side, so maybe the spray wasn't reaching the top. The entire side facing the neighbor's yard is also dead. It is annoying that the "tree experts" continued to take our money to treat an tree that is not going to make it without advising that the treatment really isn't helping. When I called to cancel they offered to send someone to give a quote to remove it, but I declined. After asking for a quote to cut up a tree that fell during the winter and getting a quote of over $1,000 for a tree already on the ground I can only imagine what the cost to take this one down will be. That tree ended up costing $300 to remove with another tree co., we will be soliciting quotes from other companies.

TERRIBLE!!!! I received an estimate from the Sales Rep that was around 1300.00 and signed the agreement....when they arrived to do the work they suddenly were unable to do it as quoted and the quote jumped nearly 1000.00. I had to have it done so I was stuck...also, never received a written quote for new price--despite asking.

I am in the process of moving into my home and I missed my appointment. I wasn't there when Dave came. When he came over the second time, he virtually took the blame for my mistake. He could not have been more clear and complete in his communication. His card indicates that he is an I.S.A. Certified Arborist, and gives his license number. I would trust him with any tree.

I am very pleased with their work, their punctuality, their professionalism, they are a little high priced but they know what they are doing. They were very informative and educational. They gave me alot of information that I didn't even ask for which was very helpful.
