Sal’s Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Sewer Inc.

My family and I have used Sal’s for the past 10 years. (You can read my previous reviews I’ve submitted – all 5 stars.) This was the complete opposite experience. My mom's A/C wasn’t working. Sal’s installed this furnace/ac unit 9 years ago, and it was still under warranty, which Sal’s confirmed since they did the installation. We called Sal’s and the technician inspected the unit and said the fan/blower was not working. They emailed me a repair estimate that stated the ECM motor needed replaced, and it would be more than $650. We questioned this as the unit was still under warranty. The reply was that this was the labor to install this part. We made several calls and spoke with Thaddeus. This didn’t make sense to us since the unit was still under warranty. They took a percentage off, but the price was still well over $500. (Not to mention we had already paid $99 for the service call, which would have gone towards the repair cost if we went with Sal’s.) We called another local heating & cooling company, and their technician inspected our unit and found that it was the module, not the ecm motor. They ordered the module and installed it, and the A/C is now working perfectly. The module was covered under warranty, and they charged $100 to install. This company was a pleasure to work with and very professional in all regards. I’m sure Sal’s will come back with an explanation to the charge and misdiagnosis, but I’ve only included the facts in this review. We were very happy with Sal's until this experience, which was very disappointing.

They were ok. They are punctual . When they left, everything was working. I'm just a bit disappointed that i have to call them.

I needed 3 done but come to find out the coupon was only for one. He gave me an estimate on all 3, $999.00 really 1000.00 for 3 spickets? Then the coupon did not cover the whole job. I paid 69.00 on line then had a balance of 75.00 after he finished. I feel I was mislead by the advertising of the coupon. Tell people it's 69.00 off the total price. Made it seem like it was a total of 69.00 for on spicket. I will never buy a coupon again. Very disappointed in Angis list for having tis promotion. The worker knew what he was doing but couldn't care less about how I felt, stated that other customers have complained also. He also Stated hey I'm still going to sleep tonight. I also feel the $999.00 price was made up so I would turn down the job and he wouldn't have to do it. Never again.

FABULOUS!!! Fast, friendly and efficient service! Replaced a small part on 4 year old unit. Fair pricing! Great response time.

Tony was the BEST! Figured out why water wasn’t heating to correct temperature. Checked all water lines through house to make sure there were no other problems getting hot water to run.

I bought a deal from Angie's List for an ADA elongated toilet. The toilet sits a little higher and we love it. The company called and sent a text 45 minutes before arriving. The installer was nice clean and quick. He also removed the old toilet. I will be calling again.

Went very smoothly. We've been using Sal's since they installed a new A/C unit several years ago, because they offered a great deal through this list. We were impressed and have used them ever since.l

P-trap was replaced. When snaking the drain did not clear the clog after several attempts, the problem was investigated further and a new course of action was suggested.

Adam was polite and professional. Did the furnace check, said everything looked good, but remember it’s an 18 year old furnace! Fair enough. I purchased the annual heat/AC contract so included in the price is an A/C check in the spring.

It went very well. I have never had an issue with any work or install that Sal's has done for me.

First I'll say I would've given 100 stars if it hadn't been for the issue I had scheduling the work with Rich. It was first thing in the morning and all Rich did was inappropriately argue with me regarding what the Groupon I purchased said. Rich went through all the details of how I will have to pay more and no matter how many times I said I can send you what I'm reading he just kept telling me he was looking at the same thing. FINALLY, he provided his email address and I sent him a screenshot to prove what I was saying. This was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I guess Rich had a bad morning and never sent an apology or anything. Jorge was my technician today and he was AMAZING. If it weren't for Jorge, I wouldn't recommend this company for my initial bad customer service experience. I was VERY apprehensive on how this service would go. Jorge was professional and thorough. I would recommend Jorge to all customers. Thank you Jorge!!! Oh and the back and forth nonsense with Rich, I ended up with the Groupon I proved. Thank you Sal's Heating & Cooling for being a decent company to honor the advertisement. Next service was a hot water tank installation which was faced with issues and much inconvenience. Once again the technician was not the problem, but I had another very unfortunate experience with Rich. Rich is the most unprofessional employee and this company would be wise to tell him to don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. I have no issues with an other office person here, but this guy has a problem. I would NEVER recommend this company based on Rich's lack of professionalism, lack of proper customer service, lack of knowledge to what customer he's even speaking with and argues with you. If this is who you have representing your office, I am surprised your business does well at all. It's only by the grace of decent technicians in the homes of customers cause Rich needs to be FIRED!

It went great!!! Dan and Jermaine were awesome they did great work were on time very knowledgeable polite and completely fixed the problem thank you so much!!!!! Definitely will call you for anything else and refer you to others!!!

My experience with sal's was amazing Daniel and Jermaine were amazing techs the were on time and very personal and knowledgeable guys... sal's took on my service call even though they were over booked and got here within a hour and with having 5 kids and no working restroom is not good so to get here and take care of the main drain and being very professional was great from the first call to customer service and services provided was amazing and greatly appreciated i used to use another big named plumbing company not anymore i will go to sal's for all future plumbing need from first call to the flush of the toilet all was great

Christian the technician did an outstanding job with diagnosing the problem and following through with ordering the necessary parts. I have been a loyal customer of Sals for over 12 years.

I called at 8:00 am when I found out my air conditioning wasn't working. A technician was at the house by 10:30. Kenneth did a great job. He was efficient, professional and explained everything. Great job!

Has to come back on, 08/06/2020 to do further work on my main drain in the basement.

This service call went very well. Adam was here about 1.5 hrs and completed the services and gave me some helpful advice about plumbing maintenance. Adam was awesome! Would hire again. Thank you!

Great for both visits. All the workers were on time, courteous, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. Each offered the price/contract before beginning the service so there were no surprises.

They were professional and I am happy with the faucet.
