Tony was prompt - the probably was not my plumbing it was my washer. I have used Sal 5 times (Furnace/air condition/Broken pipe/dry wall/hoses). Will always call Sal first. I have never been disappointed.

I have used Sal's one-time before for a drain cleaning. I was hoping for more good service from them, however, I was disappointed when I tried to schedule an appointment for one of their techs to re-charge my a/c with refrigerant. I was told by Richard that I would need to pay $99 service charge and an additional charge for their diagnostic service, even though I know what's wrong with it - it's out of freon. When asked about the cost of the refrigerant, Richard said that he is unable to tell me and that the technician will let me know when he's at my residence. Well, that doesn't work for me because of my low income and fear of getting ripped off. I need to know the cost of things before I buy them. I would like Sal's to reply on why they are secretive about the cost of refrigerant? Why can't you be honest and upfront with your customers? Not all of us are financially secure and we need to know all the costs beforehand. Thank you.

Tony arrived on time, was very polite and professional and had the drain running within a half an hour. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend Sal’s for plumbing services.

They had a form requesting whether I would be flexible on scheduling, which I accepted. As it turned out, they had a cancellation for Monday (2 business days after the Thursday of the estimate). Their price was at least as good as my other estimates. Problem solved. My wife was quite happy that the AC was up and running for the party she had planned for the following Saturday.

All went well: the meeting with the salesman, the explanation of products and services, the installation, and the followup to fix one issue. The salesman and the installation techs were all friendly, professional, and competent. The price was fair. After month one, we're happy with Sal's.

Fair price compared to competition, installation quality seems to be top notch, but administration and customer service needs work. Interactions with the sales staff and the estimate process were straight forward and painless. Installation scheduling, punctuality, and overall customer service were not ideal. The burden of correcting a mistake that the company made (scheduling, paperwork) should never be pushed to the customer. Many of the staff I interacted with were very apologetic about the issues we encountered, but unfortunately the results were still less then ideal. Overall, the value and the quality of the work completed pushes the overall score between 'good' and 'fair,' but I would be hesitant to use them again based on other areas.

They are very good, professional, present, timely and communicative. I have used them continuously in the past and will highly recommend them.

Great, work was timely and professional

Sal's serviced our HVAC unit for 3 years. Brand new house. Brand new unit. The 4th winter, the furnace broke. Their tech said it broke because of poor service - the insides hadn't been cleaned and gunk accumulated. We told their tech that it was them who serviced it from day one!! Anyway, ultimately negotiated a $300 fix after haggling with Sal's managers. Then, a kitchen faucet leaked. Their plumber charged $600 for replacing the tubing to the faucet and the pressure control valve to our house. Took him less than an hour - I was out of town and my wife couldn't fix it, so he basically exploited our vulnerable situation. This time, booked an AC service (like every summer) 2 weeks in advance. Afternoon of service day, tech called saying they couldn't come because too busy. Gave us a day 2 weeks out. And had the attitude that they are too busy with repair calls to deal with regular clean-and-checks. Of course, we've had enough. They charge too much, don't show up, don't own up to their mistakes, and act as if they are doing us a favor. This is what they do to their regular customers! We are never using Sal's again.

WAS TOLD UPGRADES NEEDED FOR CODE , HOWEVER WHEN INSPECTED BY LOCAL CITY I WAS TOLD I DID NOT NEED THE UPGRADES! CALLED TO DISCUSS WITH SAL'S AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A COMPANY POLICY TO UPGRADE ALL HOT WATER TANK INSTALLATIONS ! I SUGGESTED THAT CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE TOLD OF COMPANY POLICY , NOT NECESSARILY CODE REQUIREMENTS ! THUS I COULD NOT RECOMMEND IN THE FUTURE.
