Description of Work: I was impressed. Technician was knowledgeable, courteous, and did a fine job. AC Check Up. I would use Sal's and I would recommend Sal's to a friend. However... the receptionist who scheduled my appointment was not very pleasant. The seemed annoyed at all the "Big Deals" she hat to schedule!

Description of Work: R&R Rheem HP-50 heatpump hot water tank under warranty. Tech was Donald and I cannot say enough about the professional install, courtesy, prompt and communication with his employer right on!! They needed to get the manufactuer to authorize replacement 1 year after the warranty expired for labor. 1 year parts 10 year parts. Well, I am here to tell you they got'r done!!!!!!!!!

Description of Work: Excellent customer communication. The receptions were very friendly and helpful. Scott, the operations manager, was very informative about the work I wanted, Sal, the owner was assuring, And finally the technician who actually installed humidfier was a great. He called early in the morning let me know he was on his way to do the work. He was very amiable. He did the work required non stop. When he completed the installation, he asked for broom to clean up the little mess which was was made. He explained the operation and the maintenance (little) of the new unit thoroughly. I recommend this company to anyone who needs heating and plumbing needs. Aces!!!

Description of Work: My hot water tank stopped working and I needed a new one on a weekend. Sal's came when no other company that I called would come on a weekend. Sal's promptly arrived and put in a hew hot water tank.

Description of Work: Called and got a next day appt. Very friendly. Tech called on the way and was on time and professional. Took a long time (approx. 1 and 1/2 hours) to find the problem. Replaced a small glass fuse (10.00!) and a contactor (109.00! found same part available for 28.00). I understand that companies need to mark up parts, but 200%+ is unacceptable in my book. The labor charge worked out to be approx. $123 per hour. Great service but at what cost? Will not use again. The times are tough for everyone and I realize businesses nead to make money, but be fair about it.

Description of Work: My four-year-old furnace, installed by Sal's, started making funny noises and then I noticed the heat was dropping. Rhys, the technician extraordinaire, was here the same day I called, around six pm. This poor man is worked really long hours! He quickly diagnosed a pressure switch problem, got the heat back on, and showed me how to restart the locked-in furnace if it happens again. The parts were in stock and he was back the next afternoon to install them. Parts under warranty are free, labor isn't. It only took him minutes, but cost me $80.00 for labor. I also asked that he clean the furnace while he was there, another $70. The previous day's call about this problem, $85 less $10 coupon, wasn't deducted. Rhys was out before, to clean the furnace and air conditioner. He is always good to give tips such as the best time to call to schedule my air conditioner cleaning, and to answer my many questions, such as "Why does the furnace say Ruud when my contract says Rheem?"

Description of Work: Service call for an emergency back up sump pump. Replaced electrical clips. Diagnosis, pump needs new 12 volt marine battery. Checked charger. Charger/pump is working charging made.
