Len's Heating & Air Conditioning

They were great. The one time he came out he was able to fix something relatively easy and didn’t charge me for the call. They are fair and reasonably price. They are extremely honest and never pushed me to buy a new unit.

After a 3 week trip I arrived home about 11:00 pm on Saturday night to find my home at 54 degrees and the furnace not working. I diagnosed the problem and called Len's answering service. A technician called in about 10 minutes. I explained the problem to him and gave him specific information about the furnace. He checked his inventory and told me he did not have the part on his truck. Monday I received a call asking if I still needed service. They checked to locate the part and called me back to indicate that they could fix it about noon. About 12:15 their technician, Mike, arrived with the part. He removed his shoes, and had the furnace operating in about 15 minutes. I had called another company on Saturday night, but I was told that he did not have the part. He thought that it may take till mid-week to get the part.

I called Len's around 6:00pm and got an answering service. The technician (Rich) returned my call almost immediately. He worked to troubleshoot the problem over the phone for a good 5 minutes. When I was unable to rectify the issue, I asked him to make an emergency visit. He estimated arriving around 8:15 and arrived within 5 minutes of his estimate. During the 30 minute visit, he explained to me what he was doing, what he found, and how he was going to fix it. He offered to leave the broken part (I declined). He was very polite, courteous, and professional during the visit. The price was fair - paid for an emergency visit, which was roughly double the normal service visit cost ($150 vs. $75), but well worth it given tonight is scheduled to be the coldest night of the year so far. We would definitely use Len's in the future.

Doug Seabeck was my sales rep at Len's, and he was knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to walk through my home with me (the other two guys I had over for quotes didn't bother to do that), looked at the exhaust on the outside of my home and chimney, and made recommendations on some improvements. I trusted him over the other companies because he did this and cared about making sure I selected the right product(s) for my home. He also told me about add-on's that I did not need (like an outside humidity sensor), rather than trying to sell unnecessary bells and whistles, so I appreciated that. The installation took 5-6 hours with two technicians. There were a few very minor issues that I noticed after they left, such as a few gaps in ducts, screws missing, and a kink in the clear drain tube that wouldn't go away no matter how I positioned the tube. I called Len's, and they sent someone to fix all these issues at no cost. My home has been more consistent in temperature since I got the new furnace. Before that, the upstairs floor was always colder in winter and warmer in summer than the ground floor. I don't know (yet) about the energy savings, because the first winter hasn't really set in yet. But so far, I've been pleased with the performance of Len's and the new Trane furnace. I plan to use Len's again for furnace maintenance service.

They installers were professional, completed the project very timely.

Service technician was scheduled to arrive between 12 and 3. Dennis arrived at 2. When he arrived, I was on a conference call for work. When I answered the door, he immediately understood I was on the phone for business and kept his voice low and walked/worked quietly. He also donned booties to protect our floors. I had forgotten I had a coupon - he graciously adjusted the completed bill before asking me to sign the invoice.

They were very nice, were reasonable and were punctual. they were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. I am very happy with them and would use them again.

It went well and they did a good job. It was inspected afterward and passed inspection. We have been happy with the new systems.

I was really impressed with excellent service from everyone at Len's. From the initial contact, estimate, visit to measure and installation, everyone was great! Always on time, called and confirmed appts. before coming in, very friendly and knowledgeable, explained everything in detail. Doug, Len, Bob, Brian and Carla - Thank you for great service-you made this very easy! I would highly recommend Len's Heating and if I need anything in the future I will definitely use this company.

The technicians are always very friendly and they never seem to be bothered by our two dogs. They have always been very polite and helpful. They take the time to answer any of our questions.

They were on time, professional, and they gave me a fair price.

They are very good. They showed up on time. They were very neat and clean. They answered most of my questions. The only problem I had was that they stated the furnace would save me money on my gas bill, but I did not notice any savings.

They have been very good with servicing the heat pump. They promptly responded to my questions on the telephone. The workers were courteous and came out and repaired it. They have a 24 hour service that makes me feel good.

When they came out we didn't know we had to pay for an estimate and for them to just look. They were in the neighborhood so they were able to come by earlier so my wife came home from work for them. My wife was the only person there when the man was there and she felt very intimidated by him. We were very disappointed with them. They didn't have the correct parts to fix the furnace so we paid them for just the estimate.

They were very good at the installation and clean up work. Answered most of my questions. My only problem was with the promise of saved energy - but I guess that's the product. It is a 90% efficiency product that should save a lot of gas but unfortunately it uses the same amount. They were very prompt and answered all of our questions, but not as good with maintaining contact for follow up services.

When I spoke with him, I told him I would have a plumber here as well. He was prompt but I could sense that he was not happy that the plumber was here, even though the job they were doing had nothing to do with the work the HVAC people were doing the estimate on. He took the information, asked me questions, and said he'd write up an estimate for me. It's been two weeks and I haven't received an estimate. I called and they told me he was out of town, but I really feel he was upset and didn't have any intentions on giving me an estimate. I don't feel like he dealt with me honestly.

Len provided us an oral estimate to be followed by a written of same. We figured that after two weeks it wasn't coming. Hope this is not representative of their customer service. For all we know they may have been all aces had they won the job, but we'll never know. Can't help feeling a little miffed by the lack of follow through.

A company rep called the day before our appointment to confirm the technician's arrival time. The technician was very courteous, explained what he was doing to us and answered all our questions.

The owner came that day. He was very helpful and we were well pleased with his presentation. He set us up on an emergency meeting. The workers were on time, very professional, very friendly, and they answered all of our questions. We were very pleased with the jobs that they have done. We were also pleased with the office workers. They protected our carpeting very well, too.

Both of the other bids that we received did a load calculation. They asked about insulation, checked square footage, asked about windows, then determined what size furnace and air conditioner we needed. While Len was very courteous, he did not do a load calculation. He sited his 30 years in the business as his guide. My question was how can that override such things as insulation, windows, etc? Len did not ask any such questions. In the end, that was the main reason we went with another dealer.

Our overall experience was extremely good, from the initial call to final completion. Len's price was right but I believe in paying for quality and wanted a company that I can count on in an emergency. The owner did the estimate and spent a bit of time discussing the project. Keep on doing what you're doing - a good reputation still counts.

I called for an estimate and Len Meola returned my call promptly to set up an appointment a couple of days later. Len was very pleasant and professional and patiently presented the options. With his extensive knowledge and over 30 years of experience he was able to point out ways to improve the installation that others did not (I had 3 other estimates). When I decided to select his company and called, he promptly came out to finalize the deal. He called back in a couple of days to confirm an installation date in a couple of weeks (I was out of town for a week.) The installers came at the promised time, were pleasant and professional and seemed very knowledgeable and efficient. The furnace was installed and working the first day and the A/C installed by noon the second day. The installation and equipment was just as I had negotiated and planned. I believe they did an excellent job. The installation was clean and neat and so was their work. I can't think of anything to complain about.

Len and his staff were very helpful every step of the way. They initiated all the paperwork, including the financing, and getting me a nice rebate from the company. I would definitely recommend this company.

The furnace had intermittent problems beginning last December. Finally, when I called Len's the system was barely functional. I was told that someone could come out after 2pm. At 3pm I called to confirm and was told they were on their way over. At 4pm I called again and was told that they had made another stop and was now on their way. They arrived within a half hour and began to troubleshoot the system and determined that the circuit board needed to be replaced (it had a big burn mark on the back side--something another service company had not noticed). They replaced the board and tested the system. I was a little surprised that I had to pay a service call AND labor charge in addition to the parts cost. Overall, I have heat and am happy with the service Len's provided.

They were professional and answered all my numerous questions concerning the humidifier.
