Arrived for the estimate promptly. Gave an exact estimate. Set a date and time for the job. Reminder telephone call the day before the technician was to come. The tech. arrived on time and completed the job in one day. The only problem was with the replacement of the control for the overflow valve.

Jason came to the house and spent approximately 2 1/2 hours refinishing the shower pan. First, he cleaned the shower pan thoroughly. The he refinished the shower pan. Afterwards, he recaulked around the shower pan. The shower pan looks better than when we first had it installed. Jason was thorough and cleaned up after himself. We were very pleased with the job done.

Andrew Gorski was professional from the start to finish in scheduling, and job completion. He was willing to take the extra mile, calling long distance and working with us when we were out of town. Both bath and sink look brand new. And it cost less than half the amount replacing them would have cost.

The first employee they sent evidently did not know what he was doing or didn't care and was let go from the company. The owner of the company came out and fixed the work. Now, 6 months later, they are having to come back out and fix it again.

WITHOUT FOLLOWING ALL THE STEPS YOU MAY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH DURABILITY. THAT TECH WAS FIRED AFTER THIS JOB. WE STAND BY OUR WORK AND WARRANTY. AND WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE ANY NEEDED REPAIRS. IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND GOOD EMPLOYEES, AND WE HAVE A HIGH STANDARD. IF WE HAVE AN EMPLOYEE THAT DOES LESS THAN TOP NOTCH WORK HE GETS TERMINATED. AS A COMPANY THAT IS ALL WE CAN DO. They damaged my floor and will not repair it. I hired them four weeks ago and they have not completed the work. I have left them messages and they are not quick to respond. They are unwilling to listen to the client. They have treated me with arrogance. They do not value or appreciate their work. They avoid responsibly by failing to take responsibility and owning up to their mistakes. They are unresponsive and do not resolve the problem quick or at all. They have poor customer service.

THERE IS NOT ONE OUNCE OF FACT IN THIS REPORT. FROM THE TOTAL PRICE OF THE JOB, ($4725.00- OF COURSE I HAVE THE INVOICE) DOWN TO REFUSING TO FIX THE FLOOR. I THINK IT IS VERY OBVIOUS FROM HER REPORT THAT SHE IS TRYING TO SLANDER MY COMPANY WITH ABSOLUTELY NO GROUNDS FOR IT. THIS CUSTOMER HAD TWO BATHROOMS THAT HAD SUBWAY TILE HALFWAY UP THE WALL ALL THE WAY AROUND THE ROOM. ONE BATHROOM HAD A BATHTUB. THE OTHER HAD A SHOWER STALL. BOTH BATHS ALSO HAD TILED FLOORS AND PORCELAIN PEDESTAL SINKS. WE REFINISHED EVERYTHING. TILE WALLS, FLOORS, SINKS, AND THE TUB/SHOWER. THE JOB TURNED OUT BEAUTIFUL. IN ONE BATH WE WENT WITH A MEDIUM WHITE COLOR, THE OTHER BATHROOM SHE WANTED A CUSTOM COLOR TO MATCH THE TOILET. IT WAS AN ANTIQUE AND COULD NOT BE REMOVED. IT LOOKED GREAT. THE FLOORS SHE CHOSE ONE OF OUR MOST POPULAR NATURAL ACCENT COLORS WHICH LOOK LIKE STONE OR GRANITE. THE FLOORS TURNED OUT GREAT. THERE WAS ONLY ONE PROBLEM. MY TECHNICIAN ACCIDENTALLY SPILLED ONE OF OUR CLEANERS ON OUR TARP THAT WE COVERED THE BEDROOM FLOOR WITH. HE DIDN'T NOTICE IT UNTIL HE PICKED UP THE TARP. IT LEFT A DARK STAIN ON HER WOOD FLOOR. IT WAS THE SIZE OF A DOLLAR BILL. I FELT REALLY BAD ABOUT IT, AND I OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR OF THE FLOOR. I ALSO GAVE HER ONE OF THE PEDESTAL SINKS REFINISHING FOR FREE. THIS WAS A $375.00 VALUE. I THOUGHT THAT THIS WOULD BE SUFFICIENT, AND IT SEEMED TO MAKE HER VERY HAPPY. OVERALL, I WOULD SAY SHE WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK. I CALLED A FLOOR SPECIALIST THAT I KNOW AND HAD HIM MAKE CONTACT WITH THE CUSTOMER AND REPAIR THE FLOOR. THE PROCESS WOULD TAKE 3-4 VISITS TO SAND THE STAIN AWAY, RESTAIN WITH THE PROPER COLOR, AND TO APPLY NEW URETHANE. SHE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS AND INSISTED TO HAVE HER OWN FLOOR GUY REPAIR THE DAMAGE. I GLADLY AGREED AND TOLD HER TO HAVE HIM SEND ME THE BILL. I HAVE SINCE CALLED HER FOR AN UPDATE ON THE FLOOR TWICE AND HE HAS NOT BEEN THERE YET TO MAKE THE REPAIR. ABOUT A MONTH AFTER WE FINISHED EVERYTHING UP THE MEMBER CALLED ME AND SAID THAT THERE WAS SOME YELLOWING ON PARTS OF HER FLOOR. THIS WAS ON A FRIDAY MIDDAY. I TOLD HER THAT WE COULD BE THERE ON TUESDAY TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS THAT WERE NEEDED. WHEN MY TECHNICIAN ARRIVED THERE WERE SOME AREAS IN THE GROUT THAT HAD THE CLEARCOAT ON A LITTLE TO THICK. THIS RESULTED IN YELLOW MARKS WHERE IT WAS APPLIED TO HEAVY. SHE ALSO HAD A COUPLE OF AREAS MARKED OUT THAT SHE DID NOT LIKE ON THE CUSTOM COLOR TILE WALLS. THEY WERE VERY MINOR AND THE TECHNICIAN CORRECTED THEM AND THE FLOOR IN A COUPLE OF HOURS. SHE OK'ED THE WORK AND HE LEFT. THE VERY NEXT DAY I RECEIVED A CALL FROM A VERY UPSET AND ANGRY MEMBER. SHE WAS MAKING CRAZY COMMENTS AND SAYING THAT THE WALLS WERE NOT DONE PROPERLY. SHE WAS ACTING IRRATIONAL AND WAS NOT MAKING MUCH SENSE. I WAS ON ANOTHER JOBSITE AT SOMEONE ELSES HOME. I TOLD HER THAT I WOULD PERSONALLY COME THE FOLLOWING DAY TO LOOK AT THE AREAS SHE WAS DISSATISFIED WITH. THIS SENT HER OVER THE EDGE. SHE SAID THAT SHE WAS BEING TREATED BADLY AND FELT LIKE I SHOULD HAVE LEFT THE JOB I WAS CURRENTLY ON IMMEDIATELY TO FIX HERS. WHEN I TOLD HER THAT THIS WAS NOT POSSIBLE SHE SCREAMED AT ME AND SAID SHE WAS GOING TO "SUE ME, WRITE A BAD ANGIE'S REPORT, AND CONTACT THE BBB." I HAVE ZERO COMPLAINTS WITH THE BBB. I DECIDED THAT I WOULD GO OVER TO HER HOUSE IMMEDIATELY TO TALK TO HER ABOUT HER CONCERNS. WHEN I GOT THERE, I SAW THAT THE TOUCH-UPS THAT THE TECHNICIAN DID ON THE CUSTOM COLOR TILE WALLS WERE JUST A SHADE OFF. THAT WAS IT. I RETURNED THE NEXT DAY AND IT TOOK ME 1/2 AN HOUR TO CORRECT. I ASKED HER IF SHE WAS HAPPY AND SHE SAID YES. I LEFT, RECEIVED THIS REPORT A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER. I ASKED HER TO RECONSIDER HER REPORT. I REMINDED HER THAT SHE SAID SHE WAS HAPPY WITH THE WORK. SHE REFUSED AND SAID THE FLOOR IS NOT REPAIRED YET. THAT IS HER GUY AND IS OUT OF MY HANDS. I TAKE CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS VERY SERIOUSLY AND BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO PLEASE. LIKE I SAID WE HAVE NEVER HAD A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. I TRY TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. IT MAY HAVE BEEN THAT WE CAUGHT HER ON A VERY BAD DAY. I DON'T KNOW. WHAT I DO KNOW IS THAT WE RESPONDED QUICKLY TO HER CONCERNS OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE FLOOR, GAVE HER $375.00 OFF HER BILL, AND SHE HAS TWO BRAND NEW LOOKING BATHROOMS. I FEEL THAT I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO MAKE THIS CUSTOMER HAPPY, AND I HOPE ANY RATIONAL PERSON WOULD AGREE. AGAIN, NOT ONE FACT IN THIS REPORT. Things went very well and I must say I am only disappointed because we have not had a hot shower since the completion of the job, even after my family attempted to re-adjust the water settings. A plumber (from Angie's list) is expected to resolve the problem. It was necessary to shut off the water (hot only) in order to successfully complete the job. However, I did not mark the settings on all of the shut off valves (in the bedroom closet and in the basement) prior to the shut off and cannot get the hot water to appropriately flow into the upstairs bathroom. Although I do not believe this is the fault of the contractor, it is a problem and is aggravating. Other than the aforementioned, like paint and nail polish, I thought the resurface could use another coat (just an observation) for a more shiny, lusher and smoother appearance. However, I do believe we received exactly what we purchased and there is truth in the advertisement.

We were advised to contact Miracle Method to redo the original installation attempt but we're unable to get a response back from them after 2 weeks.
Description of Work: They reglazed our tub and was suppose to replace the shower door. They did a good job on the tub but we had to get someone else to replace the door. They took the money off for that piece but had already put the bottom piece of the door down. We hired a second company to complete the door but that company indicated that the original work was preventing them to properly install the new door correctly.

The bathtub area of my 83 year old home looked awful! The tub surface was rough, the old "subway" tiles surrounding it were gray, with tiny web cracks all over. In two corners, the grout was actually gone! Damage to the ceiling below was obvious. Over the years, attempts at resealing, re-caulking, etc. never lasted. I chose resurfacing because I wanted to preserve the historical look of an old home (as opposed to covering it with a type of "Tub Surround"). Andrew Gorski, owner of Miracle Method of Cleveland responded quickly with an estimate and complete description of the service. In scheduling the job, he accommodated my time line request, and the work was completed in two days as promised. Greg performed the resurfacing and tile work (along with Andrew at intervals). All surrounding areas (rugs walls, sinks, fixtures, etc) were covered and protected during the process. I was totally astounded with the result! It took my breath away to see how clean and bright my bathtub area now looked. I really wish I had taken before pictures, because the transformation was amazing!

Overall, I am very happy with the responsiveness and professionalism of this company. I am also extremely pleased with the outcome of my tub. It looks 1000% better than before - almost like new. It was the right choice for me as opposed to expensive tub liners or the expense and hassle of installing new. The worker was punctual and made sure drop cloths were laid to protect my carpet and floors. Now, this is a messy, smelly job - no getting away from that. And since I had my existing resurfacing sanded away, it was a dusty one too. My advice is to lay drop cloths over furniture, hang them over blinds, and be sure to keep as many doors closed as you can. The dust (and smell) does travel despite the huge fan they put in the window. The next day when they came back to buff it out they discovered an area or two that needed re-doing. That meant that I couldn't use my bathroom for an additional night. Not a huge deal. However, when I was inspecting the tub a day later I noticed two or three areas which were rippled/not smooth/not enough product applied. I also realized that when I paid the worker that I forgot to mention my Angie's List discount (totally my fault). When I called them they agreed to honor that discount and they sent someone out to address the problems in a few days time. This time when they left the job was perfect. And I got my check in the mail. This company will absolutely work with their customers until the job is right. I have confidence that the Miracle Method of tub resurfacing is superior to other methods of resurfacing and I expect my tub to look new for a long time. I was told how to take care of my tub and was given a few recommendations for cleaners easily found at home improvement store. I was also told I could polish my tub with liquid polymer based car polish every six months to keep the shine optimal.
Description of Work: I had my previously resurfaced tub stripped down and the miracle method resurfacing applied. I also had them install a drain cover and runoff cover.

They did a great job! They came early and were extremely professional. They did a great job! They explained how I should care for my tub and what products would be safe to use. They did a great job and cleaned up any mess they made. They came back the next day when they said they would to finish the work.

The guy who did the work did a good job on the initial resurfacing of the white. They forgot we had asked for black on the top tiles, and had to order the black paint and come back three days later to finish. These guys are basically painters, so it you have tiles that are loose or that may fall off, beware, as the price will go up for that repair, if the installer can do it at all. They wanted to charge me $250 to replace 7-8 tiles, and I talked them down to $100. The black trim they applied looks good from a distance, but I would not recommend it for others, as it comes out sloppy (see the photos). I don't believe this method is designed for doing this kind of multi-color trim work. I would not have had black installed had I known the way the process works and it's limitations. However, Andrew, the owner , made this application sound run-of-the-mill, and believe me, it is not. The installer, I could tell, was not happy about having to do it, and told my wife, after some legitimate complaints about problem areas with the black, that he "couldn't go over the whole bathroom with the kind of detail she expected." He may have had a point--this system of resurfacing has its limitations. I would not recommend anything detailed--just a one color job. The white did look good when finished. Unfortunately, we already have some chipping of the black--very disappointing. It's a messy and stinky process -- no way to get around that -- but they cleaned up very well. The owner communicated well and the scheduling was not a problem.
Description of Work: I had a new surface applied to my bathtub and the tile on my bathroom walls. White walls and tub with a black trim on the top tiles. I would use them again for a one color job in a bathroom with solid tiles and no plumbing problems. They are not equipped to do tile or plumbing repairs--and that was not made known to us before they accepted the job.

UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE TIMES WHEN WE RUN INTO UNFORESEEN PROBLEMS THAT CAN COMPLICATE A JOB. WHILE WE WERE REFINISHING THIS CUSTOMER'S BATHROOM WE RAN INTO A SITUATION WHERE WE HAD TILES THAT WERE FALLING OFF. WE WOULD NEVER REFINISH OVER LOOSE TILES AND A PROPERLY DONE JOB WOULD TAKE CUTTING OUT ANY ROTTED DRYWALL, REPLACING THAT DRYWALL, SETTING TILES, AND REGROUTING TILES BEFORE REFINISHING COULD OCCUR. I GAVE THE MEMBER A PRICE BETWEEN $100-$250 OVER THE PHONE WHEN I WAS MADE AWARE OF THE SITUATION. LUCKILY THE DRYWALL WAS NOT ROTTED, AND WE JUST SET AND REGROUTED THE TILE. I DON'T THINK THAT IS OUT OF LINE FOR A CONTRACTOR TO ASK TO BE COMPENSATED WHEN EXTRA WORK IS PERFORMED. WE WANT TO DO THE JOB CORRECTLY, AND TO DO IT IT WOULD TAKE EXTRA TIME AND MONEY. THIS CUSTOMER IS CORRECT THAT WE ARE NOT CERTIFIED PLUMBERS. WE DON'T ADVERTISE AS SUCH. THE PROCESS THAT WE USE DOES HAVE LIMITATIONS. IF THERE ARE A LOT OF IMPERFECTIONS IN THE GROUT, YOU MAY SEE SOME IMPERFECTIONS IN THE COATING. IN A LOT OF CASES WE ARE REFINISHING BATHROOM TILE OR A BATHTUB THAT IS A CENTURY OLD. IN THESE CASES WE STRIVE FOR PERFECTION, BUT IT IS NOT REALISTIC TO EXPECT CENTURY OLD FIXTURES TO BE BRAND NEW. HOWEVER, IN MOST CASES OUR CUSTOMERS ARE AMAZED AT THE RESULTS THAT WE ARE ABLE TO ACHIEVE. THE CUSTOMER IN THIS CASE TOLD US THE DAY OF ABOUT THE BLACK TRIM. IT WAS NOT ON THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE SHEET, AND WE WERE UNPREPARED WHEN THEY ASKED FOR IT. I DID IT FOR THEM AT NO EXTRA COST EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A LOT MORE TIME INVOLVED. The gentleman that applied the new surface didn't do a very good job. After he finished, the first day, my wife called his boss to make a complaint about some areas that needed to be redone. He came over that day and marked the places to be redone. The same guy that came out the day before came back the next day and fixed all of the problems.
Description of Work: I had a new surface applied to my bathtub and the tile on my bathroom floor.

A MIRACLE METHOD TECH ALWAYS COMES OUT THE SECOND DAY TO SAND BUFF AND POLISH OUT THE BATHTUB. THIS STEP IS NECESSARY TO DEEPEN THE GLOSS, AS WELL AS GET RID OF ANY DUST THAT HAS SETTLED INTO THE FINISH. THIS CUSTOMER WAS DISSATISFIED BEFORE WE RETURNED TO DO THIS SERVICE. AFTER WE WERE DONE HE WAS SATISFIED COMPLETELY.

They were very clean and tidied up after the job. The work was excellent, you can't even tell it's an old bathtub. The technician even came late in the evening to make sure our bathtub got done. I appreciated that he made time for us.

The job went well. It's a messy and stinky process -- no way to get around that -- but they cleaned up the best they could and the result is worth it! Even though they were running behind the first scheduled day and we had to shift the job one day, the owner communicated well and the reschedule was no problem -- after all these things happen.
Description of Work: Stripped and refinished an old built-in ceramic tub and repaired and repainted tile area in shower.

Very pleased with the result. The process involved resurfacing the existing tub, tile, sink and countertop. The entire process was complete within 2 days. The bathroom looks brand new.

We bought a home last year, and the people that sold us the house said that they had the bathtub "professionally" refinished. It was done in black. Within three months the tub was peeling. Luckily the former owners gave us the paperwork and we called the company that did the work. It took two weeks of calling to get anybody to call us back. And can you believe that they said the 5 year warranty didn't transfer to us, and only to the homeowners that did the work! We had enough. Miracle Method called us back within an hour, and scheduled the work within a week. They stripped the black that I didn't like anyway, and refinished in white. It looks beautiful, and seems to be holding up great. They came back the next day and buffed it out, as well as put new silicone caulk on. Overall very satisfied. The first picture is the bathtub while being stripped and the second is the finished product.
Description of Work: Miracle Method stripped a bathtub that was already refinished once in black, and refinished it in white. They re-caulked the bathtub, and buffed it out as well. I was surprised how neat the job turned out. Compared to what it was, (a horror) we pretty much have a brand new bathtub.

The finished work turned out fine, but we had some problems. They had to remove the drain stopper to refinish the tub, and caused water to leak and discolor the ceiling below. They also cross threaded the drain when they reassembled it. Fortunately, I discovered this before using the refinished tub. The leak was not a big deal for me because I planned to repaint the ceiling and room below because of a prior leak issue. Andrew Gorski, the franchise owner, met with me a few days after his workers completed the job per my request, so I could show him what happened and also discuss what I felt were professionalism issues and errors made by his workers. For example, the tub caulking was sloppy and they caulked the drain stopper, which shouldn't be done. I corrected all this myself. Also, they did not thoroughly clean up after they completed the work. Andrew apologized for the problems and agreed to buy my materials to repaint the room, below.
Description of Work: Refinished a bathtub, repaired a small grout crack in existing tile wall, caulked finished tub edges where it met tile and buffed refinished tub. They also buffed another tub I had a different company refinish 6 months prior, to improve the finished surface.

MIRACLE METHOD TECHNICIANS ARE NOT PLUMBERS. WE DO NOT TELL PEOPLE WE ARE PLUMBERS. WE GENERALLY DO NOT REMOVE DRAINS. THE BATHTUBS THAT WE USUALLY DEAL WITH ARE OLD AND THE PLUMBING IS VERY FRAGILE. THAT'S WHY WE DO NOT TOUCH IT. UNFORTUNATELY THIS CUSTOMER CONVINCED MY TECHNICIAN TO REMOVE THE DRAIN AGAINST MY POLICY. IT OPENED A CAN OF WORMS NATURALLY, AND WE HAD A SMALL LEAK. WE TOOK CARE OF IT, AS WELL AS THE VERY SMALL CAULKING ISSUE TO THE CUSTOMERS SATISFACTION. WE ARE COMMITTED TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, AND OUR VERY GOOD REPUTATION.

This company was recommended to us by some friends who used them. I had a buddy who did his own bathtub and it lasted a couple of months, so naturally I was leery. I guess doing it yourself doesn't last at all, and the kits they sell at Sherwin Williams are garbage. He gave my wife an estimate over the phone, and explained the process and the warranty. Their warranty is for five years, but they say with proper care it lasts 10-15 years. We decided to visit their show room. The owner, Andrew showed us some displays that looked great, and gave us some literature to take home. After we got some other estimates from the liner companies we decided to go with Miracle Method. We also looked at some other refinishers and they seemed to be much less organized. They were cheaper, but we wanted to do it right so it lasts. They were done in about 4 hours, and came back the next day for about 45 minutes. It looks excellent. We are extremely pleased with the way it turned out.
Description of Work: Miracle Method refinished our cast iron bathtub and the tile surround. They also made some repairs in the tile where we had some holes from a previous shower door. The bathtub was just real hard to clean and there were some chips. Also the porcelain was wearing off under the faucet. I didn't think that they could repair it and I was ready to go with one of those liners. The liners are sooo expensive though. After it was completed, you would never know it was redone. I am totally sold on this concept.
