Nice guy, great work, a little pricey

It went fairly well, man came to do estimate on time but estimate for drywall was very high compared to other drywall work I've had done and when I asked him (via email) to explain he just basically resent the first quote so I did not continue. If he could have explained some complexity I didn't realize we might have used him but I think it was just overpriced .

Chuck did a great job putting down tile on my concrete patio, along with many other small jobs.

Chuck, Shawn and Matthew were complete professionals the entire 4 months the scope of this project covered. Once Chuck realized the extent of the damage he stopped and told me that this job was going to require extra hands. He and his team had to build a retaining wall in my basement to hold up the damaged structural beams. They cut out all the rotted pressure treated wood and replaced everything with extra supports. They discovered no flashing was present around my fireplace exterior and my French doors that flank the fireplace. Chuck and Shawn fixed this defect and also replaced my entire fireplace insert and flue. They also made sure all the electrical outlets were secure. They insulated the fireplace and replaced the cap as well as repairing damage on the roof and siding of my chimney. Finally they finished all the work with a new coat of paint on the entire wall where the fireplace is located. Every day they put down drop cloths and were careful to keep my house as clean as they could. They vacuumed up all debris daily. They were always willing to add to the project, fixing little things for me at no extra cost. They did a beautiful custom woodworking surround for the 111 year old mantle I replaced my old mantle with. I felt like the total cost of the repair was fair. I am totally satisfied with the end result and will absolutely call Chuck and Odd Jobs Unlimited for other repairs on my property.

I called Chuck after finding him on Angie's List and reviewing his positive record. He was able to graciously accommodate the urgency of the situation-- a window with a crank- turn handle was broken and could not be closed back up again. He figured out the problem(s)- and was able to repair the window in a timely manner-- it was not a simple fix and he managed to get it done pretty quickly! He was very pleasant and easy to work with. I will be requesting his services again as he seems to be very capable.

I have used Odd Jobs for various odd jobs previously, and then recently they did my bathroom remodel. Chuck is a perfectionist and treats his customers' homes like his own. His team is very professional and they clean up everything after they are done for the day. They are on time and do quality work. The bathroom remodel went very well and he went over and above while fixing other things that came up with this project. I highly recommend Odd Jobs.

Company gave me quote, stated they would perform the job over the weekend, and never called nor showed up. When the owner was contacted he said he'd call his worker to find out what was going on, as I expressed to him that I had already informed my tenant's that their basket's would be hung and I was a bit imbarrased. He replied, "We'll maybe you should find someone else to hang your baskets!" I get the impression the company doesn't have the time for small jobs as they don't seem to care a bit about them!

The final product is acceptable. The problem was the owner's inability to listen to what I wanted, and remember what we talked about. The primary directive was the repair of trim that had rotted, or was chewed by squirrels. They were so focused on powerwashing the whole house (which I didn't ask for) that they forgot to do any repair before they started painting. When I reminded him, he acted offended. When they said they were finished, he seemed put out that I wanted to inspect be for writing a check. I looked at the job, and several places were not finished, or were simply not done well. He seemed to angry when I told him it had to be finished before he got paid. Like I said, the final productvis acceptable. But it was too much of a hassle to get there.

All went well. They were able to quickly and satisfactorily resolve the inevitable snags.

Chuck and his crew built a kid's room for me. They did an excellent job right down to matching up the baseboard to the rest of the house. They also made several suggestions such as having 2 ceiling fans and adding additional outlets . . . all great ideas that I went with. I've used Chuck on several projects and would highly recommend him.
