I was thoroughly impressed by Esham's quality and attention to detail. Highly professional, very courteous and able to articulate in laymans terms what was needed and the implications. Would recommend to anyone and certainly use for our yearly chimney servicing.

Esham's Chimney Sweeps was so over the top in every positive way that I wanted to take a minute to describe my experience. Roger and his helper arrived exactly when he said they would. Brought in drop cloths to cover every area they needed to walk and/or work. Performed a complete inspection inside and out followed up by thoroughly explained the situation regarding my stove and chimney, to include all of my service options. Promptly cleaned my stove and flue and reeducated me on how to get the most of my Buck stove insert. Esham's chimney sweeps were the ones that recommended and installed the stove three winters ago. As a result we went from three propane fills (averaging approximately 3000.00 dollars PER WINTER), to at the extreme, a hundred dollars in fire starter bricks per winter. I have discovered the availability free fire wood through numerous sources, which I split myself, and haven't had to pay for it for two years. We couldn't be more happy with the professionalism, attention to detail and great price from Esham's Chimney Sweeps. A company that still does things the old fashion way. Scheduling was fine and they did a good job with the cleaning. This provider does not wish to provide this service for us again.

Probably one of the best contractors I have ever had do something at my house. They were very professional and explained everything in detail before and afterwards for the work they were doing. They inspected my fireplace thoroughly and helped recommend fixes. I was extremely pleased and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to use their services.

Inspected chimney, closed damper, put new caps on roof vents and recommended several companies for tuckpointing and firebox rebuild. Extremely thorough and professional. Definitely use again if needed.

Work went great. Roger inspected the chimney and said it didn't need to be cleaned(!) and therefore didn't clean it. We needed to have the damper repaired, and Roger repaired it and then demonstrated the proper technique for opening and closing the damper to prevent future issues. He installed a chimney cap, which we've needed for a while. He was very professional and courteous throughout. Although his price is a bit higher than others, it's worth it for the honesty and professionalism.

The service was good. Roger called me promptly to schedule the service and was in touch again before he arrived at the house. He and his son did an excellent job with a chimney that had probably not been cleaned or serviced in a very long time. He gave me good advice going forward, and showed me photos from the inspection so that I could see what he was seeing from the roof. He did make some recommendations for products, which I opted to defer. He pointed out another Big Deal that he is offering that is related to the recommendations he made and noted on my receipt that he would honor that price if I do the work later. While I felt a little bit like I was being "sold up," the fact that he respected my decision and noted the price on the receipt tells me that there really was no pressure and he is very professional. I will definitely call him again for a future cleaning and if we decide to upgrade the chimney cap. He also recommended two masons for the chimney crown work we need and explained the difference between the services each of them offers. At the end of the service, I was left feeling informed, confident, and able to move forward if we decide to do any further improvements.

Service was provided in a timely manner and the house was left clean.

He was very professional and personable. He was on time, even a little early for the appointment. He laid down cloth to protect my carpet from the mess, and cleaned up after the job. He did excellent work, and I would recommend him to anyone!

They were very professional, put down cloth so as not to dirty the carpet. The cleaning was thorough and timely. They also inspected for any repair or replacement needs. We have used this company since we got our coal stove in 2000. They remind us when we are due for a clean and are prompt at their appointment time. We highly recommend them.

Roger was nice and very professional. Got right to work. Only took about 45 minutes to do everything. While he was on the roof he recommended adding vent caps which would also help keep out the critters.

I was happy with his work and delighted that he arrived on time. Roger took extra time to explain the situation with the fireplace and all possible solutions . ( Before today I knew the barest minimum of what makes a fireplace functional as well as safe). I will recommend him to others in need of such services.

The service was booking jobs + 30 days out so I did not use them

With the terrible cold spell I decided it was finally time to make one of the inoperable fireplaces in my 1847 house operable. I checked with several chimney sweeps and fireplace insert merchants before deciding to go with Esham's. I spoke with the owner Roger on the phone and he seemed very knowledgable and quoted a very attractive price for the Napoleon insert I had in mind. We scheduled a time for him to measure the chimney and he came to my house the next day and confirmed that the insert I selected would fit in my fireplace and the chimney would accept the proper liner required by code. The next morning he e-mailed me a final quote that had no surprises and we agreed to proceed. The installation had to be rescheduled twice due to snow. When a break appeared Mr. Esham showed up promptly with his help at 10 AM as agreed and went to work. This was the first time I had purchased a fireplace insert so I was curious to see how it was done. Roger made sure that my floors were protected with thick quilted drop cloths. A high performance vacuum made sure that no dust entered the house while bricks were removed from the back of the fireplace to provide clearance for the insert and liner. The insert was brought in and I could tell it was extremely heavy. Roger obviously had the right tools to handle the beast as he and his helper were able to slide the insert into the fireplace with little trouble by using a special slide designed specially to handle fireplace inserts. Next the liner was lowered through the chimney from the roof and connected to the back of the insert. Final assembly was done on the insert and within a couple hours we were ready to light a fire. Throughout the process Mr. Esham impressed me with his attention to detail and his courteous nature. My wife was pleasantly surprised as she was certain that there would be a mess to clean up. There was absolutely none. I highly recommend Esham's Chimney Sweeps. The system that they installed is working so well I will likely install another one this spring.

Work performed was the removal of the old fireplace insert, cleaning and inspection of the chimney. Mr. Esham discovered that there had been a fire in the chimney and that there were many cracks in the flue. He strongly suggested that the fireplace flue either be rebuilt or not used at all. He also installed two chimney caps to keep out rain and small animals. He also inspected the outside of the chimney and suggested some masonry work. Very satisfied with the work and would recommend Esham's Chimney Sweeps. |

Great customer service and very professional. The owner of the company provided the service and paid great attention to detail. Also, he took great care in protecting the floors etc...from getting dirty. I will definitely call this company the next time I need to have this service done. Highly recommend!

Very happy with their service. We were not sure if they were going to be able to complete the job because of the weather conditions. However, Mr. Esham stayed in contact with me, and was able to do the job before the storm got too bad. He was friendly and did a great job. I feel confident that our fireplace is clean and we should not have any issues this winter. Mr. Esham was also able to fit me into his schedule in a timely manner.
