+ -1 moreLast year we experienced a storm with some large hail. We called Mel Yoders for an inspection and their sales representative came out and helped explain the claims process very well. They helped me file my claim and when the adjuster showed up he helped point out things the adjuster missed. He got my siding, gutters, and roof paid for by my insurance. The work was performed in a timely manner with all crews involved being respectful. They didn't use any foul language. They cleaned up every night, and when the job was done they walked me through the entire job. I couldn't be more happier with Mel Yoders and their entire company. I would never use anyone for any of my construction needs.

+ -1 moreThey were very professional from start to finish. The sales rep came out and help identify hail damage on my roof and siding that I wasn't aware of. They helped me call my agent and file a claim. Then the adjuster came out and he helped get my entire roof and siding paid for. The crews were very nice and very informative. They were very clean and did superb work. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have their roof done, or anyone who thinks they may have storm damage.

Description of Work: As a realtor I needed a roof inspection for a real estate deal and I called several roofers and they were the first one to respond. After inspection there were 2 repairs that needed to be done before they would certifiy the roof. They repaired the valley and re sealed the chimney flashing all in just a few days so we closed on time. The next time I need a roof inspected, I'll be calling Frank.

Description of Work: Took 2 months to get the material delivered to the property and then 3 months for them to do the work and that was only because they were in the neighborhood and stopped and asked who was doing the roof. Other work was included in the contract and they didnt do the work and expected all the money. Still trying to straighten things out with payment and it has been 2 months since they put the roof on.

+ -1 moreAll started out well as our roof was replaced in the 2 week window that we were promised. The remainder of the projects have still not been completed. A job that was supposed to take 3 days total has been ongoing for the last 4 months. Yoders would show up every 2 - 3 weeks to do one small part of a project, and then be gone again for weeks. On top of the service issues, they gave a quote for the job, signed a contract for that amount, and then filed for an additional $3000 to our insurance company for price increases. This has not been a good experience and I would not recommend Mel Yoders Roofing for your home improvement projects.

+ -1 moreIf you have this company out to give you an estimate be sure to get atleast 2 others for comparison. Also, it greatly helps to know how many square you need for your job. They over estimated the number of shingles I needed to justify a high quote by over 12 square. Then they tried to bill me $250 for a permit which is not needed for a roof replacement. When I called these 2 things to their attention they stated they needed to make a profit. Needless to say I did not hire them. They were the highest quote by far I received for my job. Very unprofessional and lacked integrity.
Description of Work: Had them out to give a quote on tear off of existing roof and install new shingles.

Description of Work: We had been referred to this company from our insurance agent after we had a flood in our finished basement on Feb. 28th. The initial response was prompt and the job of clean up and drying out the basement was done well. Needless to say, it is June 29th and the job is still not done. I have been extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication with the company. The person in "charge" had many occassions of not returning phone calls for weeks on end. He had made 2 separate appointments to come to the home and he just did not show up. We had to push to even get someone over to start on the redo. If we had not, I believe we would still be waiting to get someone here to work. The workmanship has been average at best. The men who worked on the drywall, paint, and moldings were very nice and professional. We still have no carpet installed. We have had limited response from the owner in regard to the delay in getting the job done. We hear that they are understaffed etc etc. I believe that is because they have completely over-extended in light of some "storm chasing" on their part. When our contact person was called about the eta on the carpet on Monday, he said he would find out right away and call back. It is now Wednesday and no response. This is just par for the course. I do not recommend this company if you want your job done in a reasonable time frame.
