Arrived sharp on time, took care of the job in a courteous and professional manner and that was it. We'll call them again.

On time, worked diligently, cleaned up, came back when they said they would. Excellent craftsmanship, courteous, trustworthy. I call them every time we need any electrical work to be done.

My home is ALL ELECTRIC with a in house DEMAND CONTROLLER that has changeable settings. He identified the problem as being in the SERVICE ENTRANCE. He instructed me to call the power company to cut the electrical service at the pole. He then left for another job and told me to call him on his cell phone when the power company had cut the power. I called his cell after the power was cut and he returned shortly to replace a part in the service entrance electric. Recalled the power company to come back and restore the power at the pole and re-install the meter. The job was well done, FAST and Efficient by all involved. .

I had miscellaneous electrical work done at my parents house and my house. The price was better than I had anticipated and the work was exceptional. They showed up when they said they would and cleaned up when they finished. I would definitely have them back.

Went great. The electrician called before coming. Installed correctly and the light works. He explained the details of the fixture. He asked if I had any phone books because Thompson had a $10 off coupon in the phone book. He also left us a box that the hallogen bulb came in for future reference.

Brian the division manager quoted the job accurately. The in-house installer was very professional and punctual. He worked diligently to complete the task. The work was done correctly with a neat appearance. It was a pleasure to watch the technican who took great pride in his work. Great Job Thompson Electric INC.!

Called, asked for a quote. They were happy to come out, very punctual. Agreed on a date to do the work, came out on time and finished early. Work was professional, high quality and the electrician was a pleasure to be around.

Everything was great with Thompson Electric. The company's residential division manager came out to do the estimate. He was punctual and helpful answering my questions. The quote he gave for replacing the Federal Pacific box was a fair price to us ($600) so we went ahead and scheduled the work for the following week. The electrician arrived on time and was just as courteous and professional. He gave me an estimate for how long the job would take and he kept to the estimate pretty closely (all three tasks took 4-5 hours total). The work areas were kept clean and other than seeing the new fixtures or outlets installed, you couldn't tell he was there. No mess! Thanks! Since everything was done at a fair price, efficiently, and with professionalism, I'll choose Thompson again for future electrical work. Interesting tidbit: A few days after Thompson Electric completed their work, I still had their invoice on my counter when a technician from a local A/C and furnace company saw it (he was doing a service call for my home warranty). He was impressed at the price I paid for the replacement of the Federal Pacific breaker box. That technician said his sub-contractors charge more to do the same job. ;)

With respect to their price, I don’t know as I don’t have all the estimates from the other companies. I would possibly use them in future. I would say this on the estimate, there wasn’t a lot of detail on the estimate and I guess that’s a negative or that’s a question mark I have about the company. It’s like, I’m not quite sure exactly what all is covered if it wasn’t written down in the estimate but we discussed some things but some of what we discussed wasn’t included.

They did repairs our home inspector found promptly and professionally. Did a great job communicating between buyers, sellers, and realtor. We dealt directly with the owner, who was very descriptive and spent a lot of time with us. They actually found a new problem during their own inspection and helped us to understand it and repaired it. We would absolutely use them again.

The professionalism that this company shows from top to bottom is fantastic. My first call to Marilyn in estimating was extremely pleasant. She makes you feel like you are part of the family and I was very comfortable immediately. The estimator, Brian, was also extremely professional and knowledgeable. He showed up at my house exactly on time. He was extremely thorough and shared his thoughts and was open to my ideas and inputs on the projects. Even though it turned out to be a "time and materials" project, he was still willing to give me a "ball park" estimate of my costs. Mike was the electrician that came to the house. He also was very prompt and courteous. We made a quick walk through of the project. I gave him my ideas and immediately, he showed me ways to do the project faster, cleaner and less expensively than we all though to begin with. I couldn't ask for anything more of a contractor. I GIVE THOMPSON ELECTRIC MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION !

I called at 9AM Monday morning and they arrived at 11AM (they had a cancellation, but what a prompt response!). It took less than an hour, work was done just right, and Dan saved us a few bucks by fixing an existing light fixture instead of installing a new one. We have used them for everything from installing a brand new, larger service panel, to installing a ceiling fan. I recommend this company in good faith.

From estimate to completion - pleased with their professionalism. Both days - were not the greatest of weather days. Claimed up after selves. Now it is just the test of time.

I had the company come out previously to move the wiring for a thermostat. The thermostat shorted out after they worked on it, and I had to replace it. Months later, it stopped working altogether. Called them back--was charged $90 for a 10 minute service call when they did nothing. Was told to call the Heating/AC guy. I'd never use them again.

This was the second electrician we had working on this. The first had a family connection, but ultimately we were unhappy with the quality of the work. The Thompson electrician arrived on time. Asked if anyone had swine flu in the house, which I found odd, but I guess I could see it being an issue. Originally, we were told that the would not be rewiring the knob and tube wiring in the attic above the bathroom when they gave the estimate. However, the electrician did in fact replace the wiring as it all ran into the bathroom. He also attached the bathroom fan to the new wiring and re-did the wiring to the overhead light, sconces, and new light switches from the first electrician. He resecured the new light switch and outlet boxes the previous electrician installed that had been wobbly before. He also put the bathroom on its own breaker separate from the rest of the house, so I won't blow a fuse blowdrying. When he was finished, he explained what he had done to me. When I expressed concern over the exposed wiring ends for the sconces (we only have one full bathroom and had to use it to shower while finishing the remodel which he wasn't aware of), he secured the wires and made sure it was safe to use the bathroom, though he did say that he was only able to do this because his boss was on vacation.

I have used them before for much more major stuff and been very happy. Brian came out and gave estimate (no more than $250) and was very personable and professional. He also discussed sev. areas of concern with our new house to be repaired later. Frank came out Friday and performed the repairs taking only 30 minutes. (per Brian 60-90 minutes possible) Frank was also personable and professional and actually recalled a previous fix he did at the house sev years prior. I plan to highly recommend them to the new buyer should any other issues come up and will use them for several projects at our new house.

Their prices were reasonable and they provided great service. They could do the work right away. They were very prompt and professional. I would use their services in the future too.

There was three days worth of work. Everything went smoothly. Our only complaint is that the salesman did not ask us what color the outlets should be. We didn't think to specify this in the contract. They installed their standard color, tan. We are remodeling our kitchen and will need white outlets and covers. When asked if they could be changed we were told we would have to pay for the labor and supplies. We decided to do it ourselves.

He was on time, efficient and was willing to answer our questions, and he did a great job. He was professional, responsive and punctual.

When another electrical company left a flyer in my mailbox describing the dangers of Federal Pacific Stab-Lok electrical panels, I did some research and confirmed that my panel did indeed present a fire hazard. I called Thompson Electric for a phone estimate and their cost was considerably less than the $800 estimate given in that flyer so arrangements were made. The electrician assigned to my job (Mike Karl) arrived right on time and got right to work. When I saw the unholy tangle of multi-colored wires behind the front of my old panel, I was convinced this would be an all-day job and then some but the job took only 5 hours to complete and, happily I was without power for only 2 of those 5 hours. Since my old panel had been installed when my house and garage were being built, Mike had to cut out quite a large hole in my garage wall to get at all the wiring but he covered the hole with a thick plywood "access panel" painted gray to match my new electrical panel (see picture 1). As Mike pointed out, the access panel can be easily removed to service the panel or add new circuits. My new recessed electrical panel is much bigger (picture 2) with plenty of open slots for adding additional circuits, and we even went through the exercise of identifying what every circuit powered so he could label all of them. Work also included sinking a 5' copper grounding tube next to my garage, adding a jumper ground on my hot water tank and moving a shelf that hung over the old panel to another spot adjacent to the new panel. Mike was very pleasant, hard-working and meticulous and he took the time to explain everything he was doing which, given the nature of the job, really put my mind at ease. I'll ask for him again if and when the need arises :-)
