Dennis and Patrick did and an excellent job in every regard. We have a 60 year old house and the electrical systems needed a lot of work. The job took three days. They did meticulous work and cleaned up thoroughly each day. They were both very polite and answered our many questions. Among the best contractors we have ever hired!

Contacted Thompson electric inc. in febuary of 2019 which i found out about through angies list. I was scheduled to meet with Brian Lawrence residential division manager to come out and inspect work that would need to be done on property. Mr Lawrence was on time and proffessional upon meeting at location which i informed him the home eletrical system was out dated and had knobbing tube wiring. Mr lawrence walked the property checking outlets and breaker box in basement. After inspection Mr lawrence told me he would be in contact with me to give an estimate on work to be performed. I waited for a week then contacted Mr. lawrence and left a message on his voice mail but was never contacted to follow up on the visit.

The two electricians that came out were very professional and very timely. The project Took about 6 days. They hardly made any mess with the drywall. I was expecting to be doing tons of drywall patching everywhere myself. There was only two or three spots that i even have to touch up and paint! Very happy with both electricians. Dan and Dennis. Luckily i have a ranch where it was very easy to get down though the attic. Also I am redoing my basement ceiling which was easier to get for some outlet locations One thing that sorta bugged me that when holes were being drilled for my new outside outlets. They accidentally drilled in my cold air return. He did this from the outside which doesn't make sense to me. It would be better to go inside out though the rim joust. It is in a area where it is just wood and moderately easy area to patch and it was patched from the outside. It just put a piece of foil tape on the inside temporarily. Honestly no big deal in the scope of things just a minor issue.

The process went well. They arrived on time and we walked through & discussed the what, where, & how's of the job, and then they got set up and got to work. It took 2 guys 8 hours total, from start to finish. They cleaned up well and were pleasant to work with.

Two men came from Thompson and spent all day and got both done. They were friendly. Answered any of my questions. Did a great job, cleaned up after themselves, and even helped determine which breakers affected what (which we wrote on both of the doors of the panels). I had gotten three quotes and theirs was the best, and so was their work on the job. I would hire them again and recommend them highly!!!

We needed job done rather quick to be able to close on my Mother's house. They stepped up to the job and got it done for us quickly and did a great job.

When I chose Thompson Electric they at first said they would not be able to do the job till after our scheduled closing date, but after explaining our situation they got the job done for us the next day. We really appreciated their understanding in getting the job done for us.

They are my primary service provider, I would definitely use them again.

However, when I got the proposal, I needed line item costs( which I previously told him) and clarification regarding permitting. I sent the proposal back asking for these items and got no response. A few weeks later, I sent my request to the office manager asking for assistance. Still no response and its been a month.

My wife noticed some charring around an outside electric outlet at our home. It appeared to me there had been an electrical short that perhaps posed a fire hazard so it was something I wanted to get looked at sooner rather than later. After checking Angie?s List, the BBB and the fact they are less than 1 mile from my home, I called Thompson at 8:50 this morning. I also checked their web site to reconfirm they have a residential services group because Thompson is a big outfit. After nine rings a lady answered the phone. I explained my situation. She said she would have to page someone from residential because no one had picked up the line. OK, fine. Another six or seven rings later another lady answered. After explaining the situation again she said no electrician was available today. Ok, so I asked if anyone was available tomorrow or the next few days. She put me on hold, went and got her schedule. She came back and said she would have to talk to her district manager first and would get back to me ?shortly?. (What, you can?t schedule without talking to your manager?) After four hours with no call back I was way past my ?shortly? time threshold so I scheduled an appointment with another electrical contractor on Angie?s list. At the end of the day I think they were just not interested in doing a small residential job. If so why not just say it and quit wasting my time. By the way it?s now in the evening and they never did call back.

The entire process was handled well. The estimator came out promptly and was thorough. The installers were very professional and conscientious about the appearance of the install. Everything went smoothly and the project came in at the estimated cost. They were the lowest of three estimates, the other two being independent electricians, not a big contractor like Thompson.

It went perfectly. I've used them a couple of times, always very courtesy and professional. They also provide honest advice.

It went great. I got an appointment right away, he arrived on time, was professional and efficient.

They did exactly what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it and that was awesome.

I got their website and then I called them and they said it was okay if I send a picture and describe the job and they can give me an estimate and they said it was not a full estimate but it was an approximate estimate, so I wouldn't waste my time if it was way too high. But I appreciated that they would do that from my picture. My husband said he could have attached it a little better than he did.

They were prompt and the service went fine. We have used them before and I believe they were the original electricians on the house.

They were on time and did a review of our electrical wiring and provided a quote the next day. The workers were on time and did excellent work and cleaned up. It took one electrician about 8 hours and a second around 5 hours to complete the job; all done in one day. We had the following done... Main service line into the house had to be replaced Line to kitchen was replaced with new wire and properly routed in rafters Added new circuit for the microwave Added new circuit for the refrigerator Added new circuit for dishwasher and garbage disposal Bathroom on first floor was split off of kitchen circuit and new circuit added Bathroom on second floor was split off of kitchen and new circuit added 4 GFICs added Some minor clean-up of wiring and breakers (we had some 20Amp breakers but the wiring was 14-2, not good). Everything works great and our electrical is in good shape.

I was hoping for better clamps that were not plastic, but they were not available. The broken clamps were replaced with the same type. The installer was able to add an additional metal clamp at the top for better support which should help. All went well. It looks good to me.

Not the first time I used them, and they've been great every time. I don't even get second estimates any more. There pricing is always in line and they do great work.

It went very well. The only negative is that they said they would setup an inspection on the work by the city, but no one has come back to do the inspection.

From start to finish, TEI was great. I called to schedule an estimate and a few days later Brian was on site to view the work to be done. A few days after that, as promised, I received the estimate. The estimate was similar in price to 1, both of which were lower than the 3rd. I chose TEI because of the reviews and Brian's professionalism. I scheduled the work for the following week. Two guys (Dan & Todd) were sent to do the work and were both on time and professional. Completion of the work was better than I could have asked for, Dan & Todd went above and beyond to make sure everything was explained and up to code. The work was done over the course of two days, and the wiring looks great! Everything was done as asked, and they cleaned up the work area, couldn't even tell they had been there. Next project, whether big or small, I will be calling TEI first!

We are so incredibly happy with Thompson Electric! Our house always seems to present issues when we're having projects done, but their expertise and knowledge allowed them to work through all of the obstacles. It's nice to have that confident feeling in the work that was done and know that it was done right! Great job!
