They did a really nice job.

All About was extraordinary. They do what they tell you to do and all the workers are well spoken and well trained. I wish I had more work for them to do.

It was very quick and easy. My husband was present, not me, so I don't have details. they were CLEAN, little to no dust or evidence that any work was even done ! It I didn't know it, I would have thought the floors came that way...

Installation was pushed back a day and a few hours (to finish up a previous job - typical when jobs are schedule out two to three weeks). Steve showed up exactly when he said he would and got right to work. I showed him some high and low spots in the sub floor - he spend a couple of hours grinding down high spots and a lot of the sub-floor joints (after setting the nails deeper). He did a nice job using a long true straight edge to reduce the high spots. Low spots were filled in with shingles and felt paper (which was installed under all the flooring). I asked that the flooring be installed closer than typical to the wall so I wouldn't need a quarter-round - he did exacly as requested. Just about everything was removed from the house so it was almost like a new construction installation. The next day Steve brought an additional guy and the both worked very diligently and made a lot more progress. I was very impressed with their work ethic! Very professional - they even asked that the breaker for the electical outlet for the stove be shut off so they could lift it up and put the flooring down under it for a cleaner install (I would have cut around it!). Door casings were trimmed to slide the hardwood under - you can hardly tell that the casings were already there. They framed around the fire place hearth and back-filled planks instead of cutting pieces to fit up to the framing so it would look better (I would have never thought of that) - It makes the installation look much more professional. They used the front of the house as the starting point and chalk lines throughout to keep a nice true line - there is a line from dining room to the fire place - the entire length of the house - that looks perfectly straight with everything else. They cleaned up after themselves every day and did a real nice job protecting the flooring while they were working. I had them leave the card board down to protect the floor while things were being moved back. They typically don't move things but they did help with a few of the heavier items. Steve even left me his touch up stain marker and filler stick!

Great communication and friendly, yet very professional. The floors were done in 3 days and look terrific.

AAH offered the best value in this trade. Their price was the best of all contractors we interviewed, beating the competition by 10% in overall cost. But cost was only one factor. The AAH team is very professional. They are all in uniform and are articulate, clean and educated. They have the latest equipment and know how to use it. They laid out an excellent plan and executed it perfectly. Our 50 year old red oak floors now look stunningly new and is the pride of our new house. The matching red oak shoe molding is also stunning and a perfect match to the floor. The only 'B' grade is that since they are busy on many jobs, they don't always return calls right away or are available to answer phones. But, don't let that keep you from hiring AAH. They are the best in the business in the Dayton area and would not hesitate to use them again.

They were excellent. I would highly recommend them. The total cost was almost $9000. It included demolition and installation. They removed the carpet and the pre existing wood floor from the first floor. They installed new floor. They sanded and finished it. It was a pretty big job. It took about 2 weeks. I felt that the employees were extremely professional and friendly. There were a number of different men that worked on the job. They would send different people depending on the stage in which the process was. I thought that they were all excellent. They came and got the work done. They were fast and they did quality work. The owner tried to get us a good deal on the product. We will use them in the future.

Sanded, stained, sealed, and varnished the floor. Used the dust containment system, which was wonderful! Did a terrific job in every respect, and went above-and-beyond.

He did all of the hardwood floors in that area and was planning on doing the stairs but when we ripped up the carpet there was already wood flooring so he just sanded them down and refinished them for only 500 dollars which saved us a lot of money. He did a really good job putting in the floors. His guys were very careful putting in the floors. They were working out of 4 different boxes the entire time so they get a good mix of wood. They really know what they are doing.

He works in a timely fashion and does a super job. He is very personable and reliable. He is very responsive to my phone calls. We have used him before and have always been happy with his work. The owner of this company is Doug Hall.

Their professionalism and promptness was great. The installation of the new wood was well done. The problem was the finished result. The new wood was more rustic and grainy than the old wood, so the two look intermeshed. My biggest complaint though is what I call "worm holes". There were too many of them vs. Almost none in the old wood. I have uploaded a picture where I put raw spaghetti into some of the holes to show what I'm talking about. Ignore the date on the pictures as I don't know how to change it on my digital camera. I really took the pictures July 26, 2007.

The owner was very helpful, but the only problem I had was with the workman. I gave the workman specific instructions, but it did not get done and they needed to return. However, they were very good about addressing my concerns and came back to correct the problem.

When we had them come and redo the floor, I was very impressed with his professionalism. I felt very good about his suggestions toward repair, and since I am thinking doing some remodeling.

The job went very well from start to finish. There was one problem which they were quick to fix. We had the work done while we were out of town. This work sure does make a mess even though they did their best to contain the dust by hanging plastic sheets all over.

THE HARDWOOD FLOORING TURNED OUT REALLY GOOD. I LOVE IT AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL. IT WAS EXPENSIVE BECAUSE IT WAS REAL HARDWOOD NOT A FLOORING SYSTEM. THEY WORKED REALLY HARD BECAUSE THEY SANDED IT DOWN AND PUT FOUR COATS OF POLYURETHANE ON.

I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THEM, THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THEY DID WARN ME THAT SINCE I WAS HAVING THE FLOORS DONE IN THE FALL, THAT THE SMELL MIGHT GET TO ME THEY WERE RIGHT.

THE TRANSITION PIECES WERE BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED AND FIT WELL WITH OUR CURRENT HARDWOOD FLOORING. A PARTICULARLY DIFFICULT CURVED TRANSITION IN THE ENTRY WAY EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. IT WAS NOT A STANDARD TYPE TRANSITION AND WAS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR US. I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE TALKING ABOUT HARDWOOD FLOORING INSTALLATION OR REPAIR.
