Description of Work: Installed new hardwood and refinished existing hardwood.

Description of Work: Refinished my hardwood floors in my living room, dinning room, kitchen and hallway. Sanded, stained and sealed. Took about two days and after I spot checked some troubled areas (normal when refinishing hardwood) the promptly came back to fix those areas.

Description of Work: I worked with Doug to have my parents' home hardwood flooring refinished. The end product was outstanding. They are beautiful! The way the floors look are worth any issue I had in contacting the company to verify the beginning date which they missed by one day. Their internal communication seemed to be an issue, but I have to say I would hire them again. The price was fair and the quality exceptional.

Description of Work: He was very prompt in coming out to give me an estimate. We used another company because they were a bit less expensive. We needed a 1'x 8' area of our kitchen floor repaired, sanded and stained. It had heaved due to moisture problems.

Description of Work: I used Hardwood flooring because they advertised dustless refinishing. It was wonderful. They sanded down hardwood floor, stained it a different color than original, which I really liked and had no idea that I could do this! They were fast to complete order once I decided to have my floor done. I was 100% satisfied!!

Description of Work: Doug (owner) came to home as scheduled and gave estimate. Very reasonable compared to other estimates using same brand material and he explained the quality of brand we wanted. Steve did installation and was a great job. Both men are very personable and we are extremely happy with the job.

Description of Work: Replaced the carpeted area in our great room, library and hallway of our home with hardwood..unfinished, installed, stained and finished, installed the toe moulding on the baseboards. They arrived at 8:00 and left at 4:00 each day for 6 straight days to install the floor, eating a quick lunch on our back porch. The sanding, staining and sealing took place a week later because we were out of town for a week. They arrived, as usual, on time and finished the floors beautifully. To have strangers in your house for eight days sounds like a nightmare but to the contrary they were considerate, neat, particular, took pride in doing a perfect job and a pleasure to know. When it was finished and we moved the furniture back in the room we can only say it exceeded our expectations.

Description of Work: All About hardwood performed very well installing new hardwood floors in my living room, dining room and foyer. They also refinished the hardwood stairs leading to the 2nd floor as well as a small closet off the foyer. Overall the work was great. They delivered what they promised and actually exceeded my expectations. From the sales through the completion of the work, it was professional and efficient. As a procurement professional, call it a job-related retentive fact that I always do my research before spending my hard earned money. Not an Angies' list subscriber at the time of this job, I did my research on BBB, asked for references from the contractors and rendered a decison based upon past peformance. I called out the best know reputable hardwood flooring contractors in the areas to provide quotes. To ensure each contractor was bidding on the same work and expectations of quality, I provided both contractors with a statement of work (SOW). This puts both on equal footing for estimating purposes. I did my homework on hardwood flooring installation before asking any contractor to come and provide an estimate. Both contractors were given the liberty of using professional judgement when estimating, but were required to reveal any changes to the SOW so I knew exactly what i was receiving in the estimate. This way I could performed an analysis of thier proposed methodologies, materials, installation practices and price. Something I highly recommend to any homeowner before hiring anyone. When the bids came in, I did my analysis and made a decison to hire All About Hardwood. Of the two contractors, All About Hardwood was the lowerest bidder, however I was confident at this point I would recieve the materials and quality I wanted in the project. Payment Terms were negotiable and easy - a single and final payment upon satisfactory completion of the project. Typically contractors' require up-front for materials as a means of protection if a customer bails-out. As I has built a comfortable relationship with All About Hardwood, our payment terms were amicable. All About Hardwood was a good choice!
