On, on budget, no surprises.

The only glitch was that the linkage between Angie's List and the contractor prevented me from knowing when they were coming. Luckily I was home Sunday morning when they arrived. They gave me good advice on how to maintain the fire box. A big plus was that they removed a heavy TV antenna while they were up on the chimney, which was a nice plus. They seemed like they really know the business and were very communicative about how to prevent future expenses. A team of three made the job go very quickly.

I responded to the email sent by Rachel's Cleaning Service and gave a time that would work for her company yo provide the service. As the date approached, they cancelled stating bad weather and we agreed to a separate date Jan.6 at 4:00. I confirmed appointment via email. The 6 th came but no service nor no reason. I found the phone number left an rather impassioned message giving my contact numbers and stressing the urgency of getting this work done (a house sale ) before Jan 8. I alsoo gave a timeline of 12 hours before I would have to go elsewhere. I heard nothing from the company and was forced to forget the angie list deal and go elsewhere.sorry it didn't work out. Hope you can solve communication problems. Thanks to Angie list for the upcoming refund

It went great. They fixed a really important issue with the chimney at a great price. They also had time to look at the chimney on our rental property and fixed that issue as well! They are the best! I will use them again for any roof or chimney problems we have in the future!

Very prompt, Cleaned up everything and I noticed that as he walked around the house he was also picking up tree debris in the yard and disposing of it. Since they also do chimney repair we hired them to do that for us also. Very pleased !

Great job. He inspected the chimney from the top and the bottom and made the fireplace look spotless.

Set up two appointments for this company to come out and he never showed up or called to tell me that he wasn't showing up. Should have known this deal was too good to be true.

Technicians were quick. explained everything prior to starting service and answered all questions. Inspections found problems, which they repaired immediately. Work performed to our satisfaction and will likely use service provider again.

We purchased a cleaning and inspection for our new home to ensure our fireplace was fire ready. Upon arrival, the owner of Rachel's Cleaning and Services /who was performing the work/ discovered we had a new stainless steel liner installed by the previous owners, therefore the chimney was good to go with no cleaning necessary. He provided us with a full (and unrequested refund and then free of charge gave us a few pointers on other needed him improvement projects. He arrived early. Based on my experience a great company that I would recommend to anyone.

they showed up early,cleaned the chimney out then went up on my roof and inspected everything there. he took some pictures to show me what he thought were some concerns around the chimney cap and some tuck pointing that needs to be done. All around knowledgeable and nice guy and gave me a fair price to come to come back and fix the problems.

After purchasing a new home, we needed to get the chimney swept and inspected in anticipation of heavy usage this season. After some initial scheduling confusion which was my fault because the email went to a SPAM folder, we were able to schedule to have the service performed. On the date scheduled, Bill showed up at my rental property instead of the house where we needed the service performed. We're still not sure why this happened, both addresses are in my Angie's List account but I thought that I had specified the right address. I've since gone through to make sure that the rental property is not listed as the primary address. When I looked through the messages, the correct address showed up so I'm not sure why the other address showed up for Bill. Unfortunately I didn't know that they were there until I heard from the Tenant saying that someone had showed up and tried to clean the chimney. I had to call Bill to figure out what happened and reschedule. The only day that worked was the following Saturday at 8AM so we scheduled for that day. At 8:05AM I called Bill to make sure he knew where he was going and he said that they were running a little late and would be there soon. At 8:45, I called Bill again and he said that they expected to be there in 20 minutes. Around 9:40, Bill called me and told me that they were lost. After giving them directions, they arrived about 5-10 minutes later. Bill apologized and said that he was very sick. They inspected the chimney and did a pretty good job cleaning out the fireplace. I did have to clean up some ash that was tracked through the house and on the carpet after they left. Bill apologized and offered a refund but I told him to keep the money since they were performing the work. Bill and his worker were very friendly and he was very apologetic about the service. Personally, my biggest issue was the lack of communication. We had exchanged phone numbers a few days after I ordered the service. If he would have called when they got to the other house, we could have quickly figured that out. If he would have let me know when we spoke at 8AM that he was running almost two hours behind, I would have been much more understanding. Bill was friendly enough and seemed genuinely sick so I felt bad for him. I just suggested that if he would have been a little more upfront with his communication with his customers that he might be surprised with how understanding people can be.

I was very pleased with the work and will use this business again for this and other services.

He came on Sunday morning to repair the roof problems. As far as we know he has done a great job. The test will be when it rains tomorrow!

I used Rachel's Cleaning & Services to clean my gutters. They arrived on time and they had all the qualities that I normally look for in a company: - Polite - Professional. - Punctual - Fairly Priced. Beyond just performing their job, one of the gentlemen pointed out some repairs that needed to be done in my roof, and gave me an estimate. He also took some extra minutes to answer some questions I had about my fireplace, and provided some advice, That's the right way to do business. I will definitely be using their services in the future.

After the work that was ordered was completed, Bill brought down some troubling pictures of the chimney brick and crown showing many cracks and a problem with the chimney cage that was not even fastened down. I had them go ahead and fix the chimney and cage adding additional charges. The work on the chimney is guaranteed for 15 years.

went very well. Bill patched some loose mortar in fire place and up on the chimney .Needed more work around the crown which I agreed to as it could be done right then and there and there was danger of more water traveling down. The cost was $300. Bill was very professional, friendly, courteous and informative. He explained everything as he went. He discovered the gutter guards on the house were the wrong size and ineffective - they were blocking the gutters actually - so they were removed; we'll see how that goes! A small section of gutter was forgotten tho as I believe as we were talking we were both distracted; after I called days later Bill returned a week or two later (I told him not to rush) and he cleaned all the gutters again which was a nice surprise. I have recommended Rachel's to co-workers already.

He did a great job. He showed up on time and did a great job cleaning the gutters, blowing the sidewalks and deck, and cleaning the chimney.

Used the chimney and gutter clean deal ($149.00) earlier in the month. Bill (Rachel's husband) provided the service, was punctual and friendly. Completed all the cleaning and inspection in under an hour. During the inspection he found our chimney stack needed sealing as water was leaking into the insert. Our fire plate also needed repair due to a crack. Already had a quote for the fire plate repair from another company. Bill's price ($560.00 plus tax) was almost the same and included the chimney stack sealing. He came over two weeks later and completed that work. Added bonuses; he cleaned my gutters again and found another crack in the fire plate that he fixed at no additional charge. I will definitely be calling him for my future chimney and gutter maintenance.

Arrived right on time and got right to work. He spent time inspecting our fireplace and the inside and outside of our chimney and then cleaned it very thoroughly. He seemed honest and reliable, and we'll definitely use Rachel's again for our next chimney sweep.

They clean my house bi weekly. We noticed our damper on our fireplace was hard to open. Rachel dispatched the cleaner to come take a look at it. Not only was it at fire level creosote, it also was leaking thru cracks in the crown. They prepared an estimate on the spot with pictures to repair the crown. We also had it cleaned and the damper replaced. The total price of the repair portion was fair and has a lifetime warranty. Although our gutters were not full of debris, they cleaned the spout hole for free since it was only a few handfuls and hammered a few loose spikes back in. Bill the Chimney Tech was very clean and professional not to mention efficient. We will continue to have him clean our chimney and as of this year our gutters once the leaves fall.
