Kevin was great to work with. He was one of the only companies to return my call during a busy fall season. His price was fair. He gave helpful suggestions which improved the quality of the slab. After preparing the ground he protected the area with a plastic covering to protect it from the next 5 days of rain. He also took the time and care to repair where the equipment made marks in our yard (which was expected after 5 days of rain!). I appreciate his follow through on completing the job well.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR A MAJOR PROJECT. NOT ONLY DID HE DO EVERYTHING I ASKED BUT HAD MANY GREAT SUGESTIONS DURING THE PROJECT SUCH AS TYPE OF CEILIMG,WALLS AND FLOOR COVERING . I ALSO HAD SOME OTHER SMALL PROJECTS DONE IE; OUTSIDE FAUCETS AND FAUCET IN THE BASEMENT LAUNDRY ROOM. AT THE END OF THE PROJECT I REALIZED THAT A HANDRAIL ON THE STEPS FROM THE NEW ROOM TO THE OUTSIDE PATIO WOULD BE HELPFUL AND THEY OBLIGED AND DID NOT CHARGE ANY EXTRA. THE CARPENTER EVEN CUT PIECES OF WOOD SO THAT I COULD MAKE CROSSES FOR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL. THEY ALWAYS CLEANED UP AND RESEEDED THE GRASS WHEN NEEDED. THE CREW WAS FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. WE LOVE OUR NEW ROOM AND PATIO. WE WOULD RECCOMEND PIONEER CONSCTION TO ANYONE.

I was extremely pleased with the service. Quality and service were excellent, and the price was competitive.

Pioneer came out and gave an estimate fairly quickly, the sales rep was knowledgeable and showed us a catalog of their products. The price was almost identical to 3 other companies A rated on Angie's List. They showed up 2 weeks later as scheduled to install the new fence after ripping out the old privacy fence. There was a miscommunication the first morning about exactly where to put the fence and the gates. After speaking to the installers and the sales rep it was straightened out quickly. They completed the work in 2 days, hauled away old fencing and excess materials. The fence looks great and is exactly what we wanted. We would recommend them to anyone; our neighbors used them soon after to repair their wood fence.

Kevin really helped me in a pinch. We were getting ready to put our house on the market when our agent bumped up our open house by one week. The winter had taken a toll on our front steps and they were falling apart. I called Kevin on Monday afternoon and he was able to estimate the work by Wednesday afternoon and then perform the work on Friday - all in time for the open house. The work seems to be done well as it has only been a few days. All in all, quality work done in a tight timeline. Highly recommended!

We did not go with them because we decided against the job. They were nice and everything but we decided to go on a different route and we did not need their service anymore. They returned our calls and they were very obliging. It was not their fault that we did not use them but their work was so backed up that they were two or three months behind in getting the work scheduled and we did not want to wait that long. That was general for everybody that we talked to which we can understand. Coming out of recession, the people wanted to upgrade. But they were all saying pretty much the same thing so they must have been pretty upfront. They were very cordial and very good. They came out and looked at it and gave me a price. It was just the time that they have gone back with a price and stuff and then their time schedule that did not work out.

Kevin went out the same day I called and did an estimate that was quite reasonable. The very next day his crew repaired the mailbox (rotated it back in place) and even fixed the landscaping around it. It was a small job for them, but - considering the responsiveness and expertise of this professional group, I wouldn't hesitate to hire them for bigger projects! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Over the years (37), the portion of the cement walk leading to my porch has dropped several inches so that the step up was beyond that required by code. Kevin had his crew take out the section of the walk and replace it with a section that had a base down to the clay to stabilize it. Also, a step was added to ease the approach to the porch. All the work was done while I was out of town and all was finished and cleaned up when I returned. Everything was done as we had discussed and on the day promised. This is the second large project I've had Kevin do for me. He previously installed a beautiful replacement cement patio. He has always been easy to talk to and to discuss the way to proceed. The men on his crew are very polite and careful, professional workers.

, This was the best construction company we have ever used. Kevin and all of his crew were very professional prompt and proficient. They always did what they promised, and were very neat and always cleaned the area. They aiways went the extra mile to do what I asked them to do. All of our friends and family are impressed because the porch looks like the orignal design of the house and does not look like an attachment We love our new porch..

Pioneer removed my existing 40 year old crumbling driveway, then added additional base material. They drilled holes in the exposed side of my garage floor and inserted rebar to tie it in to the new driveway. The old driveway was not tied in and a 2" step had developed between the garage floor and the old driveway. As they poured the new concrete they added rebar. The job was completed in 5 working days. They worked around the weather and kept me fully informed regarding their schedule. When the job was complete the yard was in perfect condition and the driveway looked great. It's now 14 months later and the driveway has no cracks and I'm completely satisfied with the work performed.

Kevin was fantastic! He called before arriving, he called ahead of time if his availability changed, he called when the job was complete as I was not in town. I called a number of concrete companies at the same time, as well as used the concrete recommedation from the local realtor. I couldn't believe the quick response for all of them to see the job and the lack of response to receive a quote. Kevin did a great job, the area was marked to keep everyone off the sidewalk. He was quick. He did all of the job in one day. Oh and by the way he was the lowest quote, once I finally received the other estimates. You would have thought his competitors were quoting an entire driveway, rather than 6 feet of sidewalk. I am already thinking of other projects where we may have the opportunity to call Pioneer back the house.

Kevin came out in the spring of 2012 and estimated replacing our front porch (from wood to composite). He gave us the information we needed to pick out which material we wanted as opposed to saying "we only use this one product". His estimate was fair, he completed his work on time, and we loved the results. We enjoyed working with Kevin so much, we contracted him again. We decided to replace the back deck with the same material. Since the material was being discontinued, Kevin allowed us to purchase the material and he stored it for us (for a small fee) over the winter. Just last week his crew finished the back and it looks great. On a side note, the two guys who work for him were very kind and actually made a "dog pathway" so our dogs could find their way safely to the backyard to go out. Not only that, but they blocked off the unsafe areas for the dogs with anything they could find. I would say that this goes above and beyond. It's like having a family member perform the work!

I wanted a new driveway because my old driveway had a number of cracks and uneven sections. Had I known a new driveway from Pioneer Construction would develop cracks in several sections one month after being installed I would have thought twice about a new concrete driveway. The driveway was installed this past Spring. I called the owner, Kevin, to come out and look at the cracks and determine what could be done. He stated ?concrete has a mind of its own? and he had no obligation by law to fix the cracks. However, he agreed to return at the end of the season and take care of it. I waited until the end of the season but never heard back from Kevin. By the end of October I called and left a message for him. He returned the call a few days later leaving a message stating he would probably be out the following week to take care of it. He did not come out and I did not hear from him again. I felt like as my job was being completed this past Spring that it was being rushed due to another project his crew needed to get on. The forms were pulled off the driveway only three hours after pouring concrete on a cold morning. Kevin said this was no problem but all of my research indicated forms should be left on longer than this. I have observed a number of new driveways and sidewalks being installed (mostly in new neighborhood developments) since my driveway went in ? none of those I checked have developed any cracks. A driveway installed right around the corner from me by Pioneer Construction (several years ago does not appear to have any cracks. It seems concrete work can be done without flaws however that is not the experience I have had with my driveway.

Kevin, the owner, called and scheduled an appointment. The day of the appointment he called and asked if he could reschedule. When Kevin came out the next day, he answered my questions. First impression, he didn't have much to say except for answering my questions. Being a woman, I was a little leery but because of the previous comments from Angie's List I hoped for the best. Also, Kevin gave me a great deal on my driveway and sidewalk. Because I had to work, my garage doors were up while work was being performed. So far, I haven't noticed anything missing from my garage. They had to remove several tree roots from at least a 75 foot pine tree before pouring the concrete. They also applied a sealant on my sidewalk and driveway. From start to finish, it took three days to complete. When I first saw the driveway completed, my first reaction was "It is so pretty". I never thought I would describe concrete as pretty. The edging on the driveway was much bigger than I have noticed on other driveways. I wasn't expecting the results. There were some small debris marks in the concrete which was caused from the debris from my tree such as leaf marks. Also, a small imperfection in the sidewalk. Kevin did tell me there was a lot of debris falling from my tree. I asked Kevin to leave a receipt when picking up my check. He ended up mailing me my receipt which took a few days to receive. Overall, the experience went well and I would recommend their service.

They never returned my calls. Not what I expect from a top rated provider

I recently had Pioneer Construction and Concrete replace my concrete driveway. The owner, Kevin Weneck, was very professional and pleasant to deal with. He provided his estimate quickly and when selected began the work on the scheduled date, completing it in three days. He responded to my phone calls promptly and answered my questions clearly. After completion, the work site was cleaned up with the only evidence that they were here being my new driveway. I give Kevin and his crew all A’s and would recommend his company to anyone.

The project was started when promised and all went smoothly. The men were polite, answered all my questions and were very careful with their work. They, as well as the owner, Kevin, were highly professional in their knowledge and their performance. The whole site was left in a very neat and clean condition. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a first class job.

They did a great job and did it all in one day. 22 years later the fence is still standing strong. It has not needed any repairs.

The work was very satisfactory. They were timely and professional.

No story to tell except I don't think this guy must be much of a business man. Even with all the A ratings now he doesn't return phone calls?

I contacted Kevin for an estimate after reading his positive reviews on this site. After the initial estimate/ meeting with Kevin I was very impressed by his honesty and professional opinion on the job that I wanted to be done. He told me what he thought about the design of the porch and walkway that I had come up with and help to point out some things I hadn't thought about. I accepted his proposal and as soon as the weather was good he and his crew showed up to do the work. They all showed up at about 7:30-8:00 am ready to get to work! Dumptruck with bobcat and maybe 3 vans with all the men needed to get the job done right and fast. The edging on the concrete looks great and I am very pleased with his work. I would recommend him to anyone in my area of town.

Kevin came out in a timely manner to take measurements and provide an estimate. It was easy to get the work scheduled and started. Kevin's team was extremely professional and easy to deal with. They took pride in their work and cleaned up after themselves each day they were here. We are extremely happy with the job they did and would recommend them to anyone needing concrete work done.

The overall work was excellent. When we first moved here at the end of the 70's, these people put up the fence. When we decided to have a fence on the other side of our patio, they came up and put it right away. We were so lucky that 30 years later, they have the exact same type of fence. They looked the same. They came up and put it up very quickly on the other side. We have had excellent service for 30 year and fences still look terrific. Actually we remember 10 years ago a tornado went through our neighborhood. Unfortunately several houses right back of those, were completely destroyed; but we were lucky as it was just a window, a tree and that fence. They came out and redid it. They came here three times. They were able to find the same type of fence and put it up for us. We?ll definitely recommend them and they were excellent.
