Description of Work: Our 43 year old garage floor had gotten to the point where mere repair wouldn't suffice, so we went about looking up concrete contractors and getting bids. We decided that Pioneer Construction and Concrete offered us the best combination of price, professionalism and positive reviews. We are very happy with our choice. Pioneer did a great job; our new floor looks great. We especially liked that they were friendly and professional and managed to provide as little disruption as possible. They did a nice job of cleaning up, too. We recommend them to anyone needing concrete work. We will definitely be contacting them in the future when it is time to have work done on our driveway

Description of Work: Kevin was prompt to come to the residence to bid on the job of creating a concrete parking slab. He is very cordial and seems to have a complete grasp of the concrete business. He was to followup with a bid for the job. Apparently, he was too busy to want this job. I never received a bid despite calling his office and leaving a message. As a common business courtesy, if he didn't want the job, just tell me so I could move ahead with someone who did want the job. I finally did and completed it in a extraordinary manner.

Description of Work: Kevin and his crew did a great job on our sidewalk. Last year they poured a new porch and this year they finished the project with a walk from the driveway to porch. Kevin is very professional as well as his crew, they cleaned up behind themselves. They got caught in a pretty heavy downpour, then releveled my yard after the big mess, with out asking. I would use Pioneer Construction in a hear beat again if needed.

 + 0 moreI spent about $3500 on the job. They did a really good job. It is a small company. He comes out on the job with the other guys. He checks on them constantly. He came back and did the ceiling of the driveway porch. He was reasonable. He did a nice job. I will use this company again in the future.

 + -1 moreI contacted Pioneer for an estimate and advice on repairing a sun room that had settled and to replace the existing decking. After several calls he finally visited the location, was very nice, but did not have any suggestions on how to repair the structure. When I gave him my suggestions, he said he "would think about it and get back" to me. Than was five weeks ago and I am still waiting. He aparently did not know how to repair the structure or was not interested in doing the work. I have since located a person from the list to do the work as I had requested and he was successful.

Description of Work: Supported roof on porch while removing block posts, removed old concrete slab, poured new slab, and a landing for step off the porch, then replaced pillars.  + 0 moreOver the past 2 years our front porch has been pulling away from our house and sliding off of the porch pier. This was due to the excessively dry weather in which the ground the porch was sitting contracted, and moved the porch. The first year I had 3 slab-jacking companies give estimates; none could push the porch back, or guarantee that the porch would not move again. This year, I contacted 3 concrete contractors (I had only 2 respond to make appointments) to evaluate repouring the porch and secure it to the foundation. Both contractors were professional and could repour the porch and secure it the porch pier with rebar. I had a couple reasons I picked Kevin. First, he gave me a detailed explanation of what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. Second, was his price. He asked $400 less than the other contractor. Even if the other contractor was comparable in price, I still would pick Kevin from Pioneer construction due to his knowledge and his ability to convey confidence with his work.

 + -1 moreThe showed up on time. The job was supposed to be finished in three days but right before they started to pour the weather turned bad and it rained. Kevin called both nights to let me know they weather for the next day and status updates. The job was finished in five days because of the weather but it wasn't their fault. The driveway looks great and I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: They tore out my asphalt driveway, regraded and replace it with a concrete driveway that extended around the side of my house. The also did a concrete walk around the back of my house.
