As of 12/3/2014 there has been no additional moisture noticed on the drywall in the bedroom. It is safe to say the leak has been successfully repaired. The drywall cutout and repair ended up being about 18" x 18". I would estimate the craftsman spent 4 hrs. of total onsite time for this project. If you do the math the cost of this project was over $200 per hr. The materials used where common items such as caulking, drywall compound, drywall tape and sandpaper. Their handheld credit card reader did not work so it took more time than expected for payment.

After having several companies look over the work and bid, we selected Home Solutions Handyman since their bid was very competitive and their rating on Angie?s list was excellent. I worked with Dan during the bidding process and we were back and forth a few times as things got tweaked in. He was always very professional and quick to respond. On the designated day, three men showed up on time (one actually early). They behaved professionally, used very good quality materials, and completed the job in one day, as promised. The quality of the work overall was very satisfactory. The only negative I saw was a single board in the not-very-visible end of the deck that was noticeably shorter than the adjacent ones (1/2? or so), which I didn?t consider a big deal. I suspect that if I had made a big deal out of it Dan would have replaced that board. If I have more work like this, I would use Home Solutions Handyman again.

Dan came out one day and then sent a specialist back a week later to do the work.. They fixed a problem that many others had just caulked around - which didn't solve the issue. I'm highly pleased with them. They're extremely professional and he puts everything in writing. He calls ahead and when he's on his way too.

Paul the handyman showed up on time as expected, sized up the job, and went to Home Depot to pick up some materials. In a short time, he was back to take down the cabinet, repair it, and reattach it to the wall. The job took about 3 hours in total, and was done better than I expected. Paul was courteous and professional, and it was clear he had significant experience working with cabintets as well. This is the first time I have used Home Solutions Handyman, but I will use them again. Their high rating on Angie's List is well deserved.

Very well! My main issue was the drip edge where the siding on my house meets the brick. Part of the wood needed to be replaced. Dan gave that job to figure out how to fix and make it happen to Paul!!! Mission accomplished! Dan and his men are very easy to work with. I called Dan at the last minute to add the door lockset as it broke before they came out. He had no problem adding to my list of jobs, immediately sending me a revised proposal which I approved. Dan was quick to respond to my phone calls and always professional and friendly. I am completely satisfied (and happy) knowing that my list of things to have done is now done! He arrived on time to look over the job and promptly emailed an estimate. Within a week the damaged siding was replaced. The new siding exactly matched the existing siding on the house. The repair is nearly invisible. He gave me the leftover pieces and wrote down the style and color for future reference.

As always Dan and his team were courteous and very professional. They arrived on time for each of 2 appointments and were very thorough in the work they did. They worked with my schedule and let me know if they needed to alter their initial plan. The work looks great and my house is now ready for the seller to move in. I was able to use my Angie's List discount without any problem. I highly recommend Home Solutions Handyman.

The projects were all done very well and in a timely manner. We had some concerns regarding the new banister, but Dan came back and made all necessary repairs with no additional charge. We were very happy with the service and the outcome.

The employee did an excellent job replacing 3 shutters and some siding that was damaged during a wind storm! He even noticed the bird's had built a nest under a piece of siding and took care of that at no additional charge. The repairs are undetectable even by me and I know where they are. A total stranger would never even realize any repairs had been made. I asked for a received a proposal to pressure wash the siding and got the proposal in less than 48 hours. A very professional company in my opinion and I would recommend them to anyone looking to have this kind of work done.

Have a bathtub that wouldn't hold caulk more than 6 mos at a time. The guy who was sent to do the job came late, but, he was very nice and personable and a delight to talk to. However, after he removed the caulk, he thought you only had to remove the residue with soap and water. Everything I had read on the subject indicated you had to clean everything very well with denatured alcohol (which I had on hand but he didn't use)...figured he was a handyman and knew more than me, a woman. He got the job done and after one or two days I could see it already coming loose near the downspout where it always came loose. He made a quick trip back to see what was up, determined I needed to empty my bathroom closet to see behind the wall, but neither he nor I had the time that day to accomplish that task. Made another appointment, discovered I needed more backing foam (which I had), so he added more and recaulked the the faucet wall only. I still had the caulk, so he used no materials of his own and the company charged me another $135 or so for this redo. I complained to the company and they said that I had to pay for his travel because he didn't do the job the day he came to see what needed to be done, the day NEITHER of us had the time for. I must say though, it has been almost a year and it's still holding, so HE really is the hero, although I didn't like the way I was treated by the owner on this redo, and that's why I'll never recommend/have them again. I don't remember what the original charge was, just the additional because it made me angry...I know it was too much, but when you need something done and can't do it yourself, you have to pay what they ask.

Had work done to repair a leak through my kitchen ceiling near a light fixture. They came out and opened up the ceiling, checked out all the wiring to make sure there was no permanent damage, and then came back after a couple days to re-plaster. The guy who came out took his time explaining everything to me about what he was doing, the material used, and even kept a ceiling sample so I could take it to Home Depot for color matching. Overall, a great experience and excellent workmanship.

I contacted Dan the very last week of the year hoping to get a small 3 step stair case put on the back of a rental property. I knew it was going to be a ridiculous request to get the work done before the end of the year so I had some capital improvements on this property for the tax year but I made the request anyway understanding if he could not get the job on such short notice, but he got it done and it looked good! Very nice work!

This project was more complex than normal because Dan's crew was renovating an older house in Cincinnati and I was not in the area most of the time. He kept me advised of all aspects of the job, through phone calls, emails and lots of digital images of the work in progress. We started in the spring with some minor trim and downspout repairs as a trial project. I was pleased with this service so I decided to have Dan Landon undertake the complete exterior renovation of the house. During the course of the work, I found Dan Landon to be very responsive and ready to implement logical and economical solutions to emerging issues, such as a badly deteriorated gutter box over the porch. Work was complicated by the extended illness of a key craftsman that made it necessary to reschedule a large amount of work. This was done in a reasonable manner and the work was completed on the flexible schedule that we had laid out because of the generally poor condition of much of the home's exterior and uncertainty of what might be discovered in the course of the job. I am completely satisfied with the work performed and recommend Dan Landon and Home Solutions Handyman without reservation for a skilled, economical team to satisfy your building repair and renovation project.

Old glaze removed where needed and replaced with new glaze. Clean-up of old material as well as removal of excess glaze from windows will be completed when fresh glaze sets.

We had accumulated several jobs around our 25 year old house. On Angie's List I searched for a company with a good rating, not too far away from our home and could accomplish everything. I found Home Solutions Handyman in Milford, called for an appointment and Dan came over. We went through the list of tasks, and Dan agreed that they could do it all and added a couple good suggestions. Dan came back promptly with a bid. It was a couple weeks before starting the work, but that worked out fine with my schedule. Adam came over to do the work. Adam was great. He was pleasant, worked hard and cleaned up after each day. Adam had the skills and tools to do all the work. We are very pleased with the work. I think the price was O.K. considering the hours required to do each task and the materials used. I wouldn't hesitate to use Home Solutions Handyman for another job and undoubtedly will.

Home Solutions Handyman performed a variety of projects for us at our residence: exterior carpentry repair, window repair and replacement, drywall installation, bathroom remodeling and tiling, chandelier repair and installation, and more. In each case, Dan Landon and his team's performance was exceptional. Dan provides a great deal of personal attention and care during the project. His people are experienced and committed to doing great quality work. The work was completed on time and on budget, and the results looked and performed great. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for better quality and service. When our next home project comes up, Dan is the first person we will call. We encourage you to do the same. The painting was poor quality and they did the minimum. I had the painters calling me at work asking if I was going to come home so they could get paid. Very unprofessional and I was supposed to pay the contractor not the repairman. They used old paint found in my basement versus matching and purchasing new paint (which was part of my estimate). They were just trying to cut corners to increase their profit. The sales person who sold me the job was very professional and together - the people who showed up to do the work were not. 6 months after they painted, it has already started to fade and peel.

Did a really nice job! Much better than I could do in the time it took to complete! Although a bit on the pricey side, I'd use this service again because of the great service, professionalism, and quality work performed.
