Ken Ammon was responsive to my call on a holiday. He even gave me a suggestion of how to trip the system until he could fix it. He arrived on time and entered professionally. He quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced the motor at the price he had quoted. Ken did a great job.

It was a Sunday. I left a message. Within 20 minutes, Chris called me back. The first thing he asked me was if I needed him to come right out. We have two units so I told him that we didn't. He then asked me what the problem was. I let him know and he gave a me a suggestion for what the problem might be. It turned out that wasn't it, and I called him back to tell him that I needed to keep my appointment. We talked some more and he helped me through figuring out the problem. It turned out to be a problem with my low voltage wire to my thermostat. I called him three times and he answered each time, never sounding annoyed. He got us warm again and all without a visit or service charge. It would have been easier for him to come out and charge a big fee for it being a sunday but he didn't. I have used Bockrath in the past and will continue to do so. They continue to deliver a high value product with great professionalism. Thanks again Chris (and Ken)!

Ken Ammon made this entire experience a good one. His inspection of our old system was thorough and he took time to understand our needs. He presented options transparently and explained Bockrath's value proposition of expert installation and on-going maintenance of the system driven by true customer care. Bockrath backed up these claims during the installation as Ken and the crew identified two potentially significant issues outside the scope of the HVAC system. Ken then quickly carved a half day out of his schedule to personally replace our sub-standard dryer pipe. Our new variable speed system performs beautifully, as advertised.

Called for a quote on A/C service. They said it would be at least a week before anyone could even look at the problem. The person on the phone was not helpful - to the point of being rude.

Chris was on-time and courteous. I have used Bockrath many times over the years for anything from new installation to service. I have always been happy with the service i have received. Ken and Chris are always pleasant to interact with and do a great job.

Excellent! As you can imagine, a purchase of this complexity and cost had me researching and cross referencing friend's experiences, BBB reviews and of course Angie's List reviews, like crazy. Now being in the middle of winter and having to use space heaters to get us through until we could get the furnace installed, we still wanted to get estimates from several HVAC companies, but do so as quickly as possible. After all the estimates came in, far and away Bockrath had the best product (Trane), best approach and comparable, if not lower price, than the other companies. After much research on product alone, Trane came out to be the Toyota/Mercedes Benz of furnace and central air systems, great quality and low repair issues. Some of the other companies estimated lesser products with less than impressive repair track records, but we're more expensive. By best approach I mean that, while the other companies had no intention of putting in new vents and duct work to make the system more efficient, that was critical to Bockrath's approach. Four new vents and brand new insulated duct work for the old vents and new, was in their estimate. One company we got an estimate from would install a system for crazy cheap (cheap product and no new vents or ductwork), but when I asked about maintenance and checkups, he said he didn't do that. What better way of telling me you don't trust the product or your own work by NOT wanting to be the maintenance/check up tech on a job you installed?! We eventually pulled the trigger with Bockrath and the materials were in within a week or so. Of course, the day of installation, it was freezing cold, snowing like crazy, but the crew came in, all smiles and started taking out the old furnace, old ductwork and installing some of the new vents and ductwork. The next day we had heat from the new furnace by 3 pm and it was so awesome! It was almost too warm! We went with a very efficient, two-stage system, with humidifier and April Aire air filter system as well. Two stage for the efficient and continuos air flow (if you turn it on that setting) a humidifier, as it tends to really help the AC run more efficiently and the air filter was great for my wife and I's allergies. To date, we are consistently below the cost and energy output of our old furnace and two in-window AC units we used to use. I would highly recommend Bockrath and will have them out here soon for a check of the system for the upcoming Fall/Winter.

Ken from Bockrath first did a very thorough inspection of my current system including supply registers and return ducts to properly size the system He then asked in detail what I was looking for in the way of cooling and heating comfort as well as my budget to zero in on the system that worked best for me. I didn't feel like I was being pressured into add-ons Didn't need. He sent a detailed, written quote the next day offering two system options. I also had another company come in a give me a quote on a Carrier system. The inspection was not as thorough and I felt the quoting process was not as well thought out. Ken and the installation technicians showed up on the day that was scheduled and the work was completed in the estimated amount of time - about a day and a half. Once things were started the installers realized a little more duct work and gas line adjustments were going to be necessary than first thought but the work was done with no additional cost and I ended up with more space around the furnace. Cleanup was very thorough. New system works great and my summer A/C bill is noticeably lower and my house much more comfortable.

Our AC compressor went out and was not able to be repaired. We decided to get quotes for a new HVAC system (furnace + AC) since he furnace was 29 years old (good investment). We received quotes from 6 HVAC contractors (it's all about the contractors, I found out after much research). We looks at both large and small companies and with a range of Brand name systems. Bockrath, while a small company, gave us immediate piece of mind that they were professional, knowledgeable, honest and provided pros and cons on the 3 options for our home. They did not try to sell us something we did not need at a higher cost - how refreshing! The team arrived on time, removed our old system and installed the new one - in one day! They explained the new thermostat and answered any questions we had before they left. Lastly, they were most careful to ensure our home was kept clean and left it in perfect order. I would recommend Bockrath to anyone who asked about HVAC services - replacement, service or seasonal check-ups. I would definitely hire them again. You will note I did not place an approximate cost of service since every home is different so do not want to set an unrealistic expectation. I would recommend you give Bockrath an opportunity for your needs.

My AC was quickly repaired. Ken was even able to arrive early! He could have told me I needed a whole new unit, and I wouldn't have known the difference. I won't use any other company.

We were impressed when Ken came to give us a quote. He was the only person who checked all the cold air returns. He made sure that the current ductwork would work with our new system. The installers were on time and very professional. Ken stopped in to check to see how things were going and that we were happy with the installation. We have gas heat and in the summer we turn it off to save money. Ken told us to call Bockrath back when we turn the gas on and they will check the furnace. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for air conditioning or heating service.

My technician Chris A. always goes above and beyond to make sure everything on my AC unit is running correctly. I had another AC provider look at the unit and told me that my unit was broken and wanted to charge me $7500 for a new one. Chris actually opened up the unit and found some frayed wires which he fixed and it only cost me a service charge. Chris and Bockrath Heating and Cooling earned my trust and I would call no one else. The whole experience with Ken was great. He was honest, open, and friendly. He went out of his way to look at the coils and try to defrost them after the coolant in the system had gotten low enough for them to freeze over. He then checked the system gave advice and filled the coolant. He also checked the warranty and gave us insight on how we can transfer it from the original owners (we bought the house within the last year).

Ken and team here on time and provided excellent service Ken helped by responding only work to be done to improve my system comfort and efficiency. They performed everything in agreed to at a very fair and competitive price.

Ken was professional and came out on a Saturday morning over the holiday weekend to get AC working again.

Bockrath started well but finish poorly. They were very good helping with system design & equipment selection. However they had to come back 3 times to fix thing that should have been done right to begin with.

Great. The Tech showed up on time and found and fixed the problem. Always wore booties to keep floors clean. Tech very polite.

On March 3RD, we had no heat. On March 4TH, a different heating company diagnosed our problem saying our furnace needed a new motor and circuit board which would be over $2,000. It was suggested that a new furnace might be a better alternative and someone would call and come out to give us an estimate on a new furnace. On March 5TH, I joined Angie's list and selected 2 heating and ac companies to give us an estimate on a new furnace. Today, March 7TH, my first appointment to get an estimate was from Bockrath. Ken from Bockrath came right on time and diagnosed the problem. The problem was the capacitor not the motor or the circuit board. Ken replaced the capacitor. The total charge was $115. We were thrilled to have heat and not replacing the furnace. Thank you Angie's list and Bockrath.
