I could not be happier with the service I received from Denny Bockrath and his guys. Denny came out just a few days after I contacted him (based on Angie's list ratings) and arrived right on schedule. He spent some time evaluating the old system and took care to explain to me what was not working so well, and why, with respect to my original duct work and furnace setup. He also asked a lot of questions about the comfort levels in each area of the house as we walked around. He was very knowledgeable, and verified the square footage of my house, electrical circuit amperage, and length and bends of the furnace vents. There was no high pressure sale as we discussed options, and his estimate listed all components separately. It made the decision so much easier. He was able to have his installer Bob there the very next week. Bob and his helper were very considerate of my house and were very professional and neat while working. Bob even went out his way to make sure I was OK with how he was placing the new slightly larger furnace as it was right next to door, and even suggested he move the humidifier so that the door would open fully, even though it made extra work for him. In the end, the installation looks just great. It is very neatly done and I'm sure adds more value to my home than what it cost. I would highly recommend them.

Denny came out as we were getting estimates and was quite professional and reflective. We had other companies who were also good but Denny went the extra step of givng us some solutions to our particualr issues. We have a large home and it had the original furnace (22 years). It was a shoddy installation and had never worked well. Most of the problem came from the fact it was a bit piecemeal and the venting was poor. We would never get proper airflow. His men came out and did a VERY nice job intalling the largest unit available and replacing the coil which was actually blocking air. The airflow has increased dramatically. The real test will be this summer when we need AC upstairs. But he has even a backup plan for a zone system in which has already given me an estimate. All in all, he has been one of the best contractors I have dealt with. I have never gotten that uneasy feeling that something was being done that didn't need to be. I would highly recommend him.

It took two days of work for 2 men and a third technician part of the 2nd day. They did a great job and cleaned up everything inside and outside. They were all very friendly and knew their work.

A/C was not working. Got it checked. Coil needed replacement. Estimated cost $1,100. Considering the age of the furnace and the A/C unit (22 years), decided to replace both furnace and A/C unit for approx $6,500 instead. Denny Bockrath was very professional and gave the estimates. Once agreed Bob, Nathan installed the new Trane system in about 2.5 days just as quoted. They were very professional, friendly and punctual. Every thing was neat and orderly. They took extra care not soil the hardwood or carpets. Recommend them highly. Thanks to Angies list for providing their rating system. Made it easier to select this quality vendor.

Old, inefficient system that was adequate in its day but had outlived its effectiveness. I had struggled with this for 4 years and decided that it was time to take a deep breath and replace. I could not be more pleased with the results. If you use Bockrath you will love their trucks! In great big letters they say exactly who they are and what they do (not like some others who arrive in anonymous, beaten up junkers with no name to identify them).

Very professional, performed on time and within budget. Existing conditions were difficult due to the age of the building.

Owner Denny Bockrath spent an hour reviewing the project and the features of the new furnace as well as answering all of my questions. Presented his proposal in a very professional manner without the usual sales gimmicks. His reputation and reports on Angies list was very supportive. His claim that most of his employees were long term clinched the deal. At the time of installation they reflected the same level of knowledge and experience that I expected. The job went smoothly in one day and their cleanup after was complete. Reconnected the AprilAir Humidifier and replaced the evaporater pad without an added charge. Thought that was a nice touch. The price was competitive.

Came up with a creative solution for running heat to difficult areas. Very pleasant to work with. When we called back to revise some of the work originally done, they responded and made all changes. Got the job done and this company is very focused on customer satisfaction.

They charged 3 times the labor and it was kind of obscure. The guy who came out to give us an estimate was nice, but he was more expensive and he kind of implied that it was a higher quality product. He had tripled what the labor cost would be when I actually asked him to specifically break it down. Moreover, it was the same product that I got from the company that I ended up going with. The work was supposed to be for 4 hours, but he had quoted for 2 people at 8 hours. The total job ended up with 1 person for 4 hours. I explained to him everything and he didn't argue with me about anything else. The job ended up being about $ 2100 and his bid was about $ 3000. He didn't have a reason for the estimate being so high. He didn't lie to me and didn't bad mouth about the other guy. I didn't go with him, as it wasn't a superior product, but was highly priced. I wouldn't recommend him to someone else and that would be only because of his price. He was very responsive, as he came over the same day I called him. He was very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time in answering all my questions. He was very punctual and he didn't need to come back. In no way did I feel that it would be difficult to get a hold of him. I wouldn't use his services in the future. Whatever he charged was even and equal except that he had charged 3 times as much as for the labor.

These guys are great. Denny spent plenty of time on the estimate, asking a lot of good questions and explaining why he was quoting items a certain way - mainly for reliability and performance reasons. His crew did a great job of taking out the old and putting in the new; they were friendly, communicated well with us, and very respectful in keeping the place clean and making sure we were kept up to date with their progress.

Service was great from start to finish. They would have sent the rep the same day I called (a Saturday) but he was out ill. He came next day that was available for us both. Called to say he'd be late but was right on time with the revised time. Was thorough and practical with recommendations which were much different than my other service company and made more sense to me. Would have no hesitation about calling again for service. I will admit I paid a little more than I do for the other service company, but I feel I got the value from this initial visit.

We called with request and within 3 business days they reponseded. work was done efficiently.We also had a problem with our blower, which was fixed at the same time.

The air-conditioner was 21 years old, and the furnace was around 14 years old. I was told last spring, by another HVAC company, that the furnace had a crack in the secondary heat exchanger, and it would be an expensive repair. Given the ages of our furnace and AC, it was suggested that we might be better off buying new equipment. I received 3 bids in all; 2 from large area companies, and 1 from Bockrath Heating & Cooling. Bockrath's bid was competitive with one of the companies, and almost $1000.00 less than the other large company. In addition, I liked dealing with Denny Bockrath. He's the owner of his company, and not just a salesman. He was personable and knowledgeable, and I felt confident that he would do a good job. His installers were professional and pleasant. They treated us and our house with respect, and cleaned-up after themselves thoroughly. It took 2.5 days in all for them to finish, and Denny himself made several trips to see how things were proceeding. Denny also called several times to inquire about how things were going. I found him to be very accommodating. All seemed to take pride in their work, and were concerned that the job was done correctly. I am very happy that I chose Bockrath Heating & Cooling.

I had a really bad experience with the previous contractor. After using Angies List I was able to find Bockrath Heating and Cooling. They were incredible. I was without cooling for the longest time and he assured me that everything would be taken care of quickly. He recommended what i should do based on my circumstances and we implemented the plan.

Our goal for this project was to reduce our heating/cooling energy expenses. Last year, the price of propane went through the roof and we spent $4500 on pre-paid propane. Based on Angie?s List recommendations, I contacted Bockrath Heating and Cooling and discussed our intentions with Denny. We scheduled an appointment for him evaluate our requirements and to provide an estimate. Denny arrived on time, evaluated our situation and provided a recommendation with several options at different price levels. We selected the option of converting to a duel fuel solution. This utilizes a high efficiency heat pump as our primary heat/cool device, but converts to propane fuel when the outside temperature falls below 32 deg. Installation began the following Thursday and was completed Friday afternoon. Denny?s crew was very professional and a pleasure to work with. The installation is very neat looking and they completely cleaned up both inside and outside work areas. While it?s too early to tell how much our energy bills will be improved, I can say that the new system works perfectly and is much quieter than the old. I would (and intend to) use Bockrath Heating and Cooling again.

my house wasn't getting cool enough in the summer or warm enough in winter. the owner of company explained to me that the original equiipment wasn't enough to properly heat and cool the square footage.the new furnace and airconditioner are workin great and our energy costs have been reduced somewat.

Met to discuss the overall project, obtained a quote, scheduled the work, installed the system, started the system, no problems with the installation, time of delivery and the price did not change from the quoted amount. In other words, on time, on budget. No problems.

I received 5 quotes. Denny was not the lowest, however I felt I would get very personalized service from him and his company due to his experience and knowledge and i was right. they did everything they said they would. The work was done quickly and they left the basement and outside areas clean and neat. i would definitely reccommend them.

Couldn't be happier. Denny was very informative and took the time to explain everything. Price was competitive. Workmanship was excellent and job was completed on time. Denny's guys care about doing the job right as much as he does. Highly recommended!
