The price was extremely competitive. The owner who comes out and does the research and bidding process went pretty well. He called out things that other service providers would come out and not mention it. It was things about the ventilation system, the returns, things that he felt would greatly influence the life of the unit by making some very small modifications to the electronic system and things like that. So it felt like you?re in good hands of expertise and seemed very credible to me. I would use their services again in the future.

Our furnace started making weird noises and Bockrath came out and quickly diagnosed the problem as a defective blower fan. Didn't know a blower fan (not motor) could go bad, but it did. They quickly located a new fan and replaced the defective one. Very friendly, but professional and were very reasonable in their charges. Will definitely use Brockrath again if the need arises.

This company was great to work with. Small shop with owner and only a few crews, but all very good and attentive. Originally called to have a unit looked at since ours failed on a scorcher of a day. The guy was able to fit me in and did the initial look for free (very surprised, didn't ask for it). They worked to get the system fit right and up and running as fast as possible. They were very clean and insisted on constantly putting on booties even after I told them they didn't need to. Highly recommend

They were excellent. They helped improve the plans with the architect, they worked to redesign and improved the efficiency with the airflow in our house. They were totally amazing. They come back every year to service our heating and air conditioning. They are very prompt, good, and friendly.

It was just fine and it was very good. My wife was home with him and she was very comfortable with him in the house. They came out right away and they did everything we asked them to do. They were very courteous and very professional. We couldn't ask for more. Most of the price was for the motor and his labor was certainly reasonable. The price was fair. They were extremely responsive and they came right away when they said they were going to come.

It was very good. I had no problems with them. They got it done in a timely manner. It was a professional job. The workers were professional in everything they did. They made sure the house stayed clean and protected the floors. I have no complaints at all. They did a good job.

The manager, Denny Bockrath was exceptionally good at explaining the workings and advantages/disadvantages of the several systems he knew would satisfy the heating and cooling requirements of my home. His combination of expertise, experience and an easy going manner was much appreciated because it greatly facilitated my decisions regarding a large variety of expensive equipment offered by competing companies. Once I had selected the system I wanted and the company's previous commitments were finished, the entire process went like clockwork and was completed in just over two and a half days. The staff who did the actual removal and installation were competent and friendly, and they did a very nice job of cleaning up after the job was done. I was also impressed with the help Denny provided regarding my need to have the new units inspected by local authorities. He also gave me all the information I need to obtain credits on my tax returns for 2010. In brief, he was excellent at keeping in touch and seeing that all stages of the operation went smoothly from start to finish.

Our old p.o.s. heat pump died in the heat of summer. Dennis' three-man crew came in and installed a new Tempstar heat pump. The new installation job is far more professional looking than the old installation. Dennis has been in the business for many years and it shows.

We had a 22 year old gas furnace (~60% efficiency) that we wanted replaced. I called two contractors in November for quotes on a new furnace and AC unit as we were hoping to be able to get the tax credit that was expiring at the end of 2010. Bockrath's price was slightly lower and also he seemed very knowledgeable about everything we wanted done. We called him after Thanksgiving and he scheduled the install for 12/28. When the 28th came, he got held up on another job, so we rescheduled for the 29th. The two installers were there promptly at 7:30 on the 29th and they completed the entire job in one day! They were very professional, clean, and friendly, and the work performed was first class. The new furnace looks and works great. We are planning to have Denny come back in the spring and install a new air conditioner.

Decided it was time to replace heating and A/C. We received 4 estimates for the work. Bockrath was not the least expensive but close. We were very impressed with Mr. Bochrath?s thoroughness and professionalism. The work took 2 ? days resulting in quality workmanship. I would definitely use this company again.

This entire process required 2-1/2 days. The technicians were punctual, professional and helpful throughout the process. The removal and replacement of the basement wall paneling was successful --- it looks just as it did before the work begun. I am very pleased with my new furnace.

Denny Bockrath and his installation crew were a pleasure to work with. The quote from Denny was comprehensive, as was his explanation of the work to be done. Price quoted was competitive with 3 others received. Throughout the removal of the existing system and installation of the new system, great care was taken to respect my home and not make a huge mess. The crew was personable and prompt and completed the work rapidly and thoroughly. When they were done the installation appeared to be very carefully done, with an obvious attention to all the small details that made it look first class. Too early to tell how my usage bills will change, but the new system is much quieter and heat throughout the house is much more balanced.

After getting other estimates I felt most confident with Bockrath Heating and Cooling. Denny did not try to oversell on the furnace and AC and provided a solution to change the duct work to make the second floor more comfortable year-round. The work crew was not always punctual but were professional and did a decent job of cleaning up at the end of each day before leaving. I appreciated that Denny stopped by at different times to check on the work and provide input to the crew as needed. The crew worked with my husband to determine the best place for the exhaust. There was concern about the exhaust being placed at the level of the wood siding and they were open to changing the location. Additionally, there were changes made to the duct work after the installation so that more head clearance could be created. Overall I am very satisfied with the results and the attention that Denny devoted.

Denny did a great job laying out the options. This was a rental and I could have gone with a lower priced option but as he explained the technical reasons for modifying the ductwork, as did two other competitors from Angies list, he picked up on things the others missed. As an engineer who is atune to details, this was important to me and it made a difference in my decision. The other aspect was coordinating the work with a contractor I had who was adding a small bath and bedroom in the basement. I mentioned this work to the other 2 competitors and they did not want to address the ductwork requirement to those rooms. Denny told me what I needed to do there and worked the ductwork in with their schedule to add two ducts to those rooms. I believe the others were unwilling to see their bottom line go up for fear they would lose the job. What this told me was that he is not interested in doing the job at the least cost but doing it right!!!. Denny is also very easy to talk to and I like to support small business whenever I can. You will most definitely be happy with your selection with this company. And the other thing is they did a good job working with some of my special requests and their workers were legal. I have had problems with that before with other companies when I ask if all the workers are legal workers and are citizens of the US.

This wasn't a easy money job with very cramped conditions. I had only 3 foot side to side clearance and only 6 foot ceilings in the basement. The job and quality of work was excellent and I feel they even went above and beyond to make sure things looked and worked correctly. If you want a quality contractor I would use this company. I use to do some contract work so with that experience I can honestly say these guys were good at there work. Denny Bockrath helped was very prompt and directed me to the system that suited my needs and budget. The job was not rushed in and out for a quick buck, it was done correctly and I would highly recommend this company.

Denny performed a complete analysis of our heating and cooling needs by doing a walk-through of our house taking into account our current setup. He went over the various equipment that he could install to meet our needs. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional in his presentation. Denny patiently answered all of our questions. He also gave us a written statement of what would be done and the total cost before he left us that day. We had bids from some other contractors but decided we liked Bockrath the best and what they could provide. We called Denny and scheduled an installation date. We also requested that the AC be on by the end of the first day because of a family member's health problem. The installers arrived promptly on the scheduled day. They were very polite, professional, efficient, and respectful of our home. As requested they had our AC up and running at the end of the first day. We had some questions after the install and they were very prompt in addressing them. We were very pleased with Bockrath and would highly recommend them.

A/C wasn't cooling the house. I called on Monday afternoon and they scheduled me for the next day. Ken, the technician, was friendly and professional. He called ahead to let me know when he would arrive and he wore shoe covers while in the house. He checked out the A/C system and determined that it was low on refrigerant. He went over the cost to fix it, then performed the work. I asked him several questions about different types of air cleaners and filters, programmable thermostats, and maintenance contracts. He answered all of my questions, let me know what his company could do and gave me a rough ballpark cost, but never tried to pressure me to buy anything. The service call lasted about an hour. I would definitely use this company again.

We were very impressed. Parts of our house could not be cooled satifactorily, while other parts were too cold in the summer. We also had some bad ductwork in part of the house, and our system was 23 years old and beginning to fail. Denny spent considerable time problem-solving - thinking about the placement of the system and new ducts, and he developed a great set of solutions to our problems. We enjoyed working with his crew - dedicated, hard-working and delightful. They did a fantastic job and fixed all our problems. With the new unit, the house is uniformly cooled and, in fact, we re-programmed the thermostrat to keep from being so cold. We will definitely use them in the future.

Arrived on time. Technician inspected inside and outside units, found problem, replaced broken part, and then ran tests to ensure it was working properly. Gave advice on condition of A/C unit.

This is a great company to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone with HVAC needs. The only reason I rated them as a B on price is because I only got two quotes. They were cheaper than the quote I got from Sears by a few hundred dollars for an AC unit of the same tonnage. I didn't get any other quotes after talking to Dennis because I knew I would like working with him. The crew that installed the AC unit was clean and professional and cleaned up everything after they were finished. They finished all the work within one day as promised. The other thing that impressed me with this company is that they were concerned that I was happy with everything after installation. My old AC unit was underpowered and could not keep the temperature below 80 degrees on the hot 90+ degree days we have had this summer. Dennis called me twice to make sure that the unit he installed was able to keep our home at a comfortable temperature. The unit works great and I can now keep my townhouse at any temperature I desire. I will be using this company again if I have HVAC needs in the future.

I called shortly before 5 pm and was able to schedule a 7:30 am appt. the next day. Ken showed up on time, figured out the problem quickly and had my central air working right away. I couldn't be happier with my experience.

We received quotes from 4 different companies and in the end decided to go with Bockrath based on their knowledge and competitiveness. We were very pleased with Denny's overall knowledge and his suggestions for improvements to our ductwork to increase cooling on our 2nd floor. Importantly, he proposed equipment that was appropriate for our home and did not try and push more expensive and unnecessary upgrades as did some of their competitiors. We highly recommend Bockrath and will use them again.

Ken did a great job. It was very hot & humid, and Ken was able to fit me in between other service calls. He quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to make the repair in about a half an hour, which was important because I had to leave work to meet him at the house. I was told by other bigger companies that it would be 3 - 4 days before they could send out a service tech. Ken was at my house within 45 minutes of his return call to me. I was very impressed and will definitely use Bockrath for all my HVAC needs.
