Ken Ammon gave me the most complete quote of the five companies that I invited. All were Angie list "A" companies but most spent more time telling me why their company was great than sizing the system to my needs. Bockrath was the only one that pointed out three differerent issues with my current HVAC set up with suggested improvements incorporated into the new system design. Two companies quoted systems that were too small to keep their price down. Bockrath was the only one that gave me a quote that exceeded my requirements. The installation went well. The team came up with a better idea for venting once on site which was a cleaner solution. The Trane system is very nice XL95 furnace and XLi AC.

It went just as planned. No surprises. Well done!

It went really well. They were in and out and did a good job. They also told us how to turn it up and down. My only thing is that I'm not sure how to tell if it's working so we may contact them about that.

Sufficient workforce onsite to accomplish job in timely manner. Good Quality of workmanship. Tight quarters installation went smoothly. They were in the middle on price, but I liked the way they surveyed the system needs more thoroughly than others. I Expect long life and good operating conditions from this install. Would use again.

I purchased this "deal" on Angie's List. That same day, the owner called to arrange installation for the following day. The technicians were prompt, thorough and professional. While testing the new unit (post-installation), my 10 year old basic model thermostat "blew." They replaced it with a brand new digital model, no questions asked, at no cost to me. Would definitely use them again!

It's been so dry in our house this winter! When we saw the Big Deal for the whole house humidifier installation from Bockrath Heating & Cooling, we pulled the trigger - what a great deal. Called Jeff on Monday morning and he was able to schedule a team of techs to come out to install that Thursday. They were extremely professional, explained everything about the humidifier, and were extremely fast - in and out in a little over an hour. We had a little hitch when, 24 hours after installation it seemed as though the house was as dry as before - a quick call to Jeff and a 5-second adjustment, and we're no longer dry in the house. A great experience overall, and I would definitely use them again for our HVAC needs.

I called for an estimate and they came same day. They were the lowest estimate and since I had used them before in my previous home I wanted to do business with them. They showed up on time to do the work. I have an old house and the upstairs was not receiving any heat at all and I needed a humidifier. The guys were on time and professional. They worked efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. They showed me the work they did and how to operate the new humidifier. The difference in teh upstair rooms was significant. I can't say enough about this company. They were excellent the estimate to the completed job. Highly recommend them to everyone.

With the temperatures outside falling, we realized the humidity in the house was plunging and it was getting drier and drier inside. Knowing that using small portable humidifiers is a nuisance and not nearly as effective as a humidifier on the furnace, we were excited to see the Angie's Big Deal offer of a humidifier installation. We signed up late that night online, and the very next day the company called us and made arrangements for the installation. They were prompt, courteous, and did a great job!

I contacted Bockrath based on the reviews from this site and I was not disappointed. After experiencing a burning smell coming from the furnace I contacted Bockrath. Chris came the next day after calling, giving me plenty of time to get home from work. When he arrived he quickly determined the cause to be the blower bearings, since the fan would not turn freely when the furnace was off and he wiped grease off of the sealed bearing motor. He explained the newer model furnaces have sealed bearings, so it can only be replaced. He immediately got on the phone and ordered the part, explaining that it would take the part supplier 10-14 days to get the part in stock. Since I got on the problem before I experienced a total failure, this was perfectly acceptable. I was pleasantly surprised when he called less than a week later stating he had the part already. We then arranged to have it installed the next day on my lunch break, unfortunately I had to cancel due to other obligations. Chris was very accommodating and came out a couple of days later and replaced the blower for the reasonable agreed upon price with the Angie's List discount. Overall I was very satisfied with my experience and will recommend them to anyone.

The experience was good. The crew seemed competent enough, it was 2 guys. They cleaned up pretty well. They were very polite. It took them a couple of hours. They weren't slacking, pretty much constantly busy. They answered all my questions and they were done.

We selected Bockath on two key criterion. First they sold Trane units which we researched and found then to be highly reliable and efficient. Next the initial call for an estimate produced the most throrough review of the job ahead we had seen. From exact measuring of room dimensions to a through inspection of the existing HVAC equipment and electrical they took their time in ensuring that the recomendations for the home were correct. Since we have two systems they did not recommend the highest permormance unit but one in the mid- price range which they said would both save us money and vastly improve upon our current system which was nearing its end. Of course they also had to make Angies List of top providers to even get an intial call. On the appointed day they showed up in force with three trucks in the driveway to get the job started. They were careful in their preparation to ensure no damage would be done to the floors or walls. It was a bitter cold day but they used an outdoor heater to keep the techincian as comfortable as possible. After a little over 8 hours the job was completed and we were given instructions on how to use the new thermostat. That evening we encountered issues with the heat not coming through as strong as we believed it should so the next morning we called them and asked them to check it out. They arrived within 30 minutes and found one of the connections was not correct and fixed it. since then the unit has operated flawlessly. While one could write the job should have been done correct the first time I was most impressed with the speed they responded to when told I had concerns. This gives me a good feeling moving forward as every HVAC system requires maintanance and I know I have a company who cares about its work and reputation after they receive payment. I give them high grades for their attitude and work and would recommend them to others looking for a trustworthy and reputable company .

They came in took the old one out and put the new one in. The installers were courteous and quiet as they diligently performed their work.

A terrific experience. Every heating and air conditioning company should run as well as Bockrath. He even remembered the Angie's List discount. Two thumbs up.

Perfect... our A/C went out on a very hot summer day. We started to panic but after calming down we looked through Angie's List and found Bockrath HVAC. Read all the reviews and decided to call them. They called back quickly and came out the next day. They were very professional and worked quickly to fix the problem. No one had touched the A/C unit since we bought the house new about 20yrs ago... so they could have added on some unnecessary things but didn't. The fixed only what was needed and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I would also use them again.

When I got back from a Thanksgiving trip, my furnace was making an odd noise. I called Bockrath who worked with my schedule to come out and check it. They cleaned the furnace and couldn't find anything wrong with the motor. The technician said it might have made some strange noises while it was lubricating after having been off for a week. He said the fan motor was old but otherwise seemed to be working well. This is the second time I've used Bockrath (first time was last summer when they replaced my A/C unit) and I could not be more pleased with them. They never "over-sell" or try to strong-arm me into spending more money than I need to. Their techs are always curteous, polite and clean up after themselves. They also stand behind their work. When I had my A/C replaced, I noticed a small crack in the plastic stand for the A/C unit. When I called Denny Bockrath, he had a tech replace it that day. Extremely dependable company. I will never use anyone else.

Great, I contacted them and they set up a date and time to come and install. Once there they were very professional explained the process of what they were going to do. They finished in a timely manner and upon completion showed how the system operated and how to maintain it.

We could not be more pleased with the effectiveness, comfort and quietness of our new HVAC system. Bockrath provided the best solution for our needs and the owner and his employees were all confident, experienced, responsive and professional. These folks take pride in their work and stand by their word. Our original HVAC system was underpowered for our home, with an ineffective two-zone system and loud ductwork problems. We interviewed 4 different companies, and were starting to think that no one would be able to solve our HVAC problems. Then we called Bockrath. The owner, Denny Bockrath, came to our home and assured us that this was a problem that could indeed be solved. We were relieved to hear him speak from experience about how to solve the squealing noises that came from the ducts whenever our furnace turned on. We were so impressed that we placed an order, gave a deposit and scheduled installation for the week that we would be returning from vacation. While we were gone, our old air conditioner failed. A friend that was here to check on the house noticed the problem. We called Bockrath, and they came out (on a Sunday) and installed parts to temporarily resurrect the old AC unit. Disaster was averted and we arrived home from vacation to a cool home. During the week of the install, Bockrath arranged for Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance to do a thorough assessment of our home and to seal up energy leaks and install additional insulation. They also recommended Larry McFerron to do drywall and carpentry work for the job. The new Trane Heat Pump and Furnace were installed quickly and professionally. Ductwork was rerouted and dampers were adjusted so that the two-zone system was both quiet and effective. We recently called with a question, now 6 months after the installation. Denny answered the phone and remembered us and the system that they installed for us. He offered to have one of the service team members return to our home to answer the question. Again, they are extremely responsive. We are picky people. We are doubtful that any other company could have solved the problem of our HVAC system as well as Bockrath did. They accepted the challenge with confidence and spent the time needed to solve a very difficult problem. For that we are very grateful. And we are really enjoying the comfort of the new system. I was surprised that he took the time to tell me what he thought was wrong over the phone and even help me troubleshoot it without a service call. If his suggestion doesn't fix the problem, I will definitely call him to come and fix it because he was so courteous and helpful over the phone.

It went well, the workmen came scheduled and worked to complete the job. Supervisors came to make sure all was OK.

I called Bockrath HVAC at about 7:30 in the morning on a Monday because our furnace had stopped working. I left a message and received an almost immediate call back from the owner Denny Bockrath. He arranged for a technician to be out to look at the issue promptly. The technician called ahead to verify he could get in to look at the issue and then arrived precisely when he arranged to meet us - my wife let him in and went to go tell me that he had arrived. By the time that I was told he was there and walked around to meet him, the technician had already found the problem! It turns out a small rubber drain hose was drooped into a U shape inside my furnace, preventing the water produced by the furnace from draining. Trimming a small length off this hose to straighten it out fixed the issue and my furnace is working like it should again. I mentioned to the technician that he found the solution awfully fast, and he replied that it was his experience with high efficiency furnaces that led him to the solution so fast - he has learned to investigate drainage issues first as that is the most common problem. We went upstairs and settled up, and we talked about the thermostat that came with my house - after we talked, he decided he wanted to double check to make sure the furnace was properly set to work with the thermostat we had installed. At no additional charge, he went downstairs and investigated the settings of the furnace to make sure the double-stage furnace was properly set up to work with a single-stage thermostat. It was.

A day after I purchased the service thru Angie's List, Ken contacted me to set up an appointment. He was then on time for the appointment. The results are excellent: installation was flawless, the equipment felt nice. Ken is an extremely capable technician and he carried out his work patiently and carefully. Highly recommended.

Ken called prior to arrival, and arrived earlier than expected, which for me was great. Ken was friendly and very professional. He went right to work on the furnance. Ken also gave me several tips on how to keep the house more energy efficient, as well as informing me that the duct work could be corrected as well. Ken advised me that my furnace was older and several options are avaliable, when I am ready to upgrade. Ken looked at the thermostat, it was outdated and not every accurate or efficient. I was thankful he had a few options to replace our dated thermostat. I am very happy with the service from this company and will not use any other. I will be purchasing a service contract with them this spring, based off the job done, information and tips given, and professionalism from the technician Ken. Thanks.
