Excellent service. Very professional.

From three quotes, we decided to go with them. We got a break in the price for paying with cash. We liked the maker of their units better than the other companies we contacted. They were prompt and very clean. They worked all day until it was done.

The service man wanted to leave but I requested since I paid for an hour of his time wasn't there something he could do. He did a pressure check and could not find the leak. He said if he could find the leak he could fix it. I paid another company to look at the AC unit and he immediately found the leak, however he noted that the unit was so old he did not know how long it would last and did not recommend repairing the problem for the price it would take. He quoted me a price of $2200 to replace the AC unit, Bockrath quoted me $8600. I used this company even though there were closer repair companies because of the reviews by Angie's list members. I am very disappointed by the response and the prices they quoted me.

I called for the appointment and specified that I wanted more than the standard system check. I wanted to have the air pressures measured and air flow rates measured at each vent so I could properly balance the system. When the rep arrived, I again specified what I wanted performed. He did nothing that I asked. He did the normal service check, told me my 3-ton unit was undersized and I should buy a new 5-ton unit. Clearly, his only interest was in selling me a new unit. My house and heat pump unit are only 6 years old.

I was able to get in touch with Ken immediately on a Friday and we set the appointment for the following Monday. He was prompt and very courteous when he arrived. He diagnosed and showed me the problem. He then explained the charges which were very reasonable. The unit was fixed in less than an hour. Since I have dual units I asked him to look at the second unit which he did. Would not hesitate to call him again.

They were coming Friday to service system. Compressor part shorted out Monday. Were able to come out first thing Tuesday. Part of compressor shorted out. Was still under warranty. They verified the warranty, pick up the part had system running in the afternoon and serviced it at the same time. Did not have an issue stopping by on Friday to pick up the check. The ground around the a/c unit was nice and clean. System works great. Will not have an issue using them again.

Bockrath was very quick to respond to my inquiry, and came out the very next day to inspect my furnace. While they were here, I was informed of their deal on Angie's List (which I was not aware of), so I made the decision to use them to install a furnace in our home. Our furnace was 48 years old! There was a minor problem with inspections, but they made up for it by giving me a free A/C tune-up and also will be doing a free winter tune-up on the furnace!!

Outstanding in every respect: - professional - bumped me up in line because I had no AC and had twin babies - more knowledgeable than other two firms I got quotes from (suggested changing plenum size and return duct for increased efficiency, for example) - Consumer Reports verifies that Trane, which Bockrath uses exclusively, is a superior brand (CR also likes American Standard and Bryant) - my new system is so much quieter than what it replaced, and in theory more efficient (haven't seen newest electric bill yet, though) - Ken came out after the installation to teach me how to use the new thermostat - couldn't compete the job the first afternoon but they were nice enough to get my AC running, came back next day to do heating - only minor glitch was that, in getting my AC running the same day, they forgot to calibrate to the heating system the next day, which caused the dehumidifier to not function well. The very morning I notified them about the problem, they came out, diagnosed it immediately and fixed it immediately.

It could not have gone more smoothly. There was a site visit and I was given quotes on 3 options. The options were fully explained and there was even a discount if one paid in cash or by check. The work was scheduled and it took 2 days to complete the job. I was especially pleased that the crew got the air conditioner working first because their first day on the job was Cincinnati's first 90 degree day of the season. During their 2 day stay, the crew was quiet and efficient and it felt like there was no disruption in the house. The system has been functioning very well. The distribution of air conditioning throughout the house has been very even. And while I thought my old unit was quiet, the new one is silent. I have been very pleased with the equipment, the installation, and the service.

They came the same day that they were called, diagnosed the problem and repaired the air handler. They wore booties over thier shoes to keep the place clean and gave an Angies list discount. The cost was very reasonable for the item replaced. I have used another company that charged me over $600 to replace a $12 capacitor (simply ridiculous!) it is nice to find a company like this that does honest work! FYI stay away from Thomas and Galbraith HVAC--they gouge!

He was just a generally nice person. He did not really pressure us like how normally people would be telling us that we needed a new air conditioner, but he actually kind of told us directly or straight-up what the problem was. There were no additional costs for any of the repairs. It was all included in the $89 big deal.

I called for pricing on service calls and appointment availability. When their service person called to schedule a time, he was able to diagnose the problem over the phone. Once we committed to having them come to the house, he came within the hour and fixed the problem just as quickly. He also gave us an estimate for a new furnace. He was prompt, incredibly knowledgeable and very professional. I will not hesitate to call again.

The crew at Bockrath did an exceptional job installing our new HVAC system and air cleaning unit. I have 0 complaints and will use them in the future. ***HIGHLY*** Recommend!

Excellent service. I fully expected to be told the leak could not be fixed. Chris gave no guarantee but said he would try and fix the leak which was in a awkward position. The fix took and he was able to re-charge the system. They were very friendly. I am a curious type and asked lots of questions. They did not seem to mind and answered all of them with grace. Excellent experience.

will use them again. I am a kind of person who will continue to use the same provider if they do good work. The guy who came out was really good. The house is 15 years old. He gave me an estimate of how long the air conditioning heaters will last. He cleaned everything out.

As the temperature started to rise, it was time to turn on the A/C but there was no cooled air. I contacted Bockrath since I had used them in the past. Chris arranged his schedule to come to my home at the end of his business day. He had the part and was able to repair my A/C unit. What impressed me even more than his willingness to get to me quickly was Chris's initiative to put me on his calendar for a callback in the fall to do a full-season service on my oil furnace and heat pump. Superb customer service!!

It went great. They worked well with my schedule so it was not an issue of them coming out. I have never seen anyone clean from the inside out. It looked like he did a very thorough job cleaning it.

We had gotten 2 estimates from other companies but felt neither had completely addressed all of our issues (especially in regards to our 2" vents and air cleaner needs). One of our neighbors (who is also an Angie's list member) had used Bockrath for some HVAC service (but we had never heard of them before). After reading the rave reviews of the company on Angie's List we called them for an estimate. Ken came out & did a most thorough appraisal of our house room sizes (not done by the other companies). He agreed it would be a tricky install (due to the limited space in our furnace room) and the need for replacing the intake/exhaust vents to the bigger size. His quote was done promptly & included the bigger vents, a larger air cleaner & a condensate pump. The other estimates we received were less but they did not include the vent work (complicated by a finished basement & 2 story house above it) and the larger air cleaner. Ken even came out an additional time to double check the space requirements and make sure they could do all that was needed to put in the larger furnace. The install was done by Chris, Nathan, & James. They were all polite, pleasant & worked very hard. They were considerate & careful in their work as well & took time to answer questions along the way. Because the vent work took extra time, it was a 2 day installation but they made sure the furnace was operational before they left at the end of the first day so we would have heat that night. Before they finished the job, they made sure the air conditioner was also operational. When the fan went into the second stage, there was a lot of air noise coming out of couple vents. Chris heard this and came back to install some dampening material to mute the noise for 2 vents. He heard more out another & Ken took care of that for us. We have been extrememly pleased with the new furnace. In particular, we enjoy having the fan on all the time (you cannot hear it run but it keeps the air circulating & the house very comfortable). It's a very warm day today, but with the fan on it's nice and cool (and the AC has not had to come on). The Bockrath team was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend them. I might add that the county inspector was very impressed with their work as well.

This is not my first time using Bockrath and I knew what to expect. They will not let you down and aim to please.

I called Bockrath HVAC after our Central AC stopped blowing air altogether. I figured it had frozen up due to a low refrigerant issue. I called them midday Friday and they were able to come up noon on Saturday. Chris, the service tech was on time and very professional. He tested the system for pressure and checked for obvious leaks (which were not found). Our system was 1lb low on freon so he filled it. He also took the time to answer some questions and concerns I had about the age and condtion of the HVAC and the coils. AC is back up and working after the recharge. I will definitely call the for future service and intend to sign a yearl service agreement with them in the fall. I also anticipate we may replace the system in a couple of years as it was undersized with inadequate ducting. Bockrath is very professional, reasonably priced and having also installed a new Central AC at my inlaws, I can vouch for the quality of their work. Chris was a pleasure to work with.

My elderly parents just put their house on the market. We called Denny and asked him to do a full inspection of the furnace and AC systems. We had a prospective buyer who was worried about the system since it is over 40 years old. Denny responded quickly to our calls, made an appointment for the next day, did a thorough inspection and wrote a detailed report. Thank you!

The company we used last year put bogus charges on the work order after I told them I had a coupon from Angie's list. The company we used last year as well told us the motor is bad and will need replaced very soon. Bockrath told us otherwise and did not try to up sell us services or a new unit when this one is working fine.
