+ -1 moreThis company was great from start to finish. Very accommodating to our schedule, showed up promptly and explained what he found with our dryer. The vent was really clogged and he cleaned it all out. Also explained that our vent cover was warped and recommended a replacement that would keep critters out. Very professional and personable. Even used shoe covers in the house which I really appreciate! I have no idea what other companies charge for this service so I don't know if their prices are high or not, but for the quality and professionalism (plus the fact that this is a service you only need to have performed every 5 or 6 years), I guess the price wasn't too bad. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again if I ever had trouble with the dryer vent.

+ -1 moreExcellent service. We've had problems with this dryer vent for years, mainly because of the vent cover popping off and birds nesting inside the vent. The opening on tne outside of the house is difficult to reach because of the height from the ground. The technician knew exactly what to do and had no qualms about scaling the ladder to access the vent opening which exits at the attic level of a three story house. He stocked a bird-proof vent cover on his truck which he installed for ~$50 - $60. So far the birds are gone, the dryer dries and we're happy Angies List customers. What a relief to finally have this problem fixed right!

+ -1 moreClose quarter laundry area. After our failed attempts called dryer vent wizard and they attached the vent in a matter of minutes. Also did an eval to determine if a vent cleaning was needed. And it was not needed. He was honest because others would hsve tried to sell that service even though I didn't need it now. Very impressive.

+ 1 moreThe entire process from scheduling to finishing the work went very smoothly. Everyone involved was professional and knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to use this service again or recommend to others.
Description of Work: Initially we scheduled a dryer vent cleaning for a rental house as the dryer was no longer getting clothes dry. The representative was very courteous on the phone and promptly scheduled a visit. The first step was to inspect the dryer and venting area for an evaluation. The serviceman then gave recommendations to do a full cleaning of the duct and replace the dryer connection which was very old. We agreed with this course and no other up charges were "pushed". He also inspected the dryer and made sure all lint was removed as well as gave us tips to keep clogs from happening a dry clothes most efficiently. We were so impressed with the work that we had him then proceed to our house a short distance away and clean our dryer vents which hadn't been done in over 15 years. The amount of lint removed was amazing and he again fixed the connection as well as replace an outdoor cap.

When I presented the issue to the company, they were responsive, courteous and did everything in their power to quickly rectify the issue and ensure my satisfaction. The folks at Dryer Vent Wizard were all extremely friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and respectful of my time and home. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone.

+ 0 moreThe tech was right on time, was courteous and respectful of our household. He checked a number of possible trouble spots with our venting and diagnosed a couple issues. He blew out a ton of lint, located the logjam, and we agreed to replace the hose to be a metal hose. He vaccumed the lint trap and the inside of the dryer. Did the same at the outside vent. Was here probably a little over an hour, and we felt he was very thorough. He cleaned up after himself and left our house looking the same as it did when he first showed up. His name was Chad and he was very friendly and personable. I will use them again. By the way, the dryer is back to functioning normally and now only takes one cycle to dry a load.
Description of Work: Our dryer was taking multiple cycles to dry loads that normally took one cycle. It was clear something was blocking the air flow. We checked Angie's List and chose Dryer Vent Wizard based on their great ratings and reviews.

Quickly explored possible options and found a much more elegant solution than I envisioned. Did the work immediately on the spot (2.5 hours out of the promised 3 - so ahead of time). Clearly explained all the details, answered the questions in a friendly and clear way, and was happy to explain the details until I was fully satisfied. Perceived quality of the work is very high - I will update the review in the event something changes - for now, very highly recommended!
Description of Work: Found an alternative venting route for the dryer (old setup vented 30+ feet through the house and up to the roof), new set up vents 6 feet out through the wall close to the dryer. Executed the new set up (drilled holes in brick wall connected dryer to the new venting route outside).
