Description of Work: I called DVW to clean my dryer vent. When the tech arrived, he informed me that our vent wasn't up to code and was a fire hazard; so, I followed his recommendation to replace it, as well as outside vent. End result, the dryer works much, much better now. Clothes are dry the first time without any musty odor.

Description of Work: They completely cleaned the dryer vent and redirected hoses to be more direct/efficient, changed the outside dryer casing because it was cracked and changed hoses on the washing machine due to age. |Clothes now dry completely on one cycle. |

Response from Dryer Vent Wizard of Greater Cincinnati
As stated on the post, this job it was completed almost a year ago. The actual date of the job was May 7, 2015 and this is the first response we have received from this customer regarding her service. The actual total of the invoice was $598, not $800. The customer gave written approval for the work to be completed at the time of service and more than just a simple cleaning was performed. The customer has a roof vent, which most companies will not clean as they will not complete a job that requires getting on the roof.. The vent was cleaned, a new pipe from the dryer to the vent line in the wall was installed, and a new roof vent was installed in the roof. We offer complete assessments of the entire dryer venting system and the customer can choose what services they want completed. This customer selected all the services the technician recommended to create a clean, safe, efficient venting system for her and her family.

Angie's LIst has a new website and this job never came to us for us to contact or service....The first we saw this customer was with this unfavorable review. As you can see from the other 358 reviews this is not the way we do business and it is real unfortunate that Angie's List has grown to the point they have become so ineffective and rigid that they cannot change our rating even when we have no control over the contact. Description of Work: Cleaned dryer vent all the way to outside of house restoring proper airflow, cleaned lint tray, replaced transition tubing with one up to code, cleaned exterior vent cover, inspected washer hose and drain and made sure washer and dryer were level. I expected to pay a little more than the Big Deal coupon amount but it ended up costing more than double. Still I feel that it was good workmanship and worth having this all taken care of after 8 years of use without maintenance.
