I received a new dryer from the manufacturer (I won it!) and needed someone to install it. Ed Rauch and Bob came to see the situation and removed the old dryer. Ed sent an employee, John, who knew just about everything there is to know about installing a gas dryer and he did just that. That was on Friday. I used the dryer a couple of times that day and then the nexy day had family here who were using the dryer. The gas smell outside from the vent was noticeable to all there. I called (on a Saturday) and Ed answered, called John and he diagnosed the probable cause inside the new dryer, once hearing that the smell was only outside and not in the laundry room or house. Is being repaired today by warranty rep as exactly what John said it probably was. Friendly people who know exactly what they are doing and care very much about quality.

Doug arrive promptly and immediately pointed out a fire hazard. The paper information sheet on the back of the dryer was still attached and would act as an accelerant. Doug also noted that flexible vent from the dryer to the wall should be replaced. As this is a first floor laundry area, Doug reviewed the venting thru the basement and noted a portion was the flexible type and needed to be replaced with the aluminum type. The vent cap also needed to be replaced as birds like to try to build nests in the end of the vent. Doug explained all the charges and went to work. Doug vacuumed the dryer area and even used several wet paper towels to clean the grime. His cleanliness and attention to detail was refreshing. Doug replaced the vent system with rigid aluminum the cleaned the line. Sure was a lot of dryer lint flying out of the line! Doug then tested the air flow and it was at the proper velocity. Doug installed a new vent cap, then cleaned up the outside area. Doug also explained that I could sign up for yearly inspection for a one-time charge. I found this to be an excellent value and took advantage of it. Oh, and the discount was an added bonus! Doug was an excellent technician who explained everything step-by-step. He was very friendly and professional. I will definitely tell my friends and coworkers about Dryer Vent Wizard.

Great. I called to make an appointment and the owner came to do the service. He explained everything in detail. He cleaned the vent from the outside, then removed the duct connecting the dryer to the wall and cleaned that. He also cleaned out the dryer itself. He then installed a new vent cover outside- ours was corroded and stuck open. He left everything clean, inside and out.

Great company. Very clean and professional. Returned my call immediatly and showed up on time. Could have attempted to up-sell to an entire cleaning, but noted the vent was getting enough air flow after removal of the birds nest. Gave recommendations for cleaning and how to keep birds out in the future. Will use for any air duct or vent issues in the future.

I sent an e-mail to the company on Sunday. Mr. Rauch (the owner) answered my e-mail Sunday evening. I called on Monday and Mr. Rauch met with me on the following Monday. Once I decided to work with this company work was scheduled fairly soon. The installer, Doug, was professional, courteous, and conscientious. He arrived on time. He installed the new dryer vent as I wished. He continually worked until the task was completed. Some improvements in my design were suggested (and better) and he implemented these. He worked as if this vent was being installed in his house. I am greatly appreciative of the quality of his work. The installation area was cleaned. At billing time, all work was clearly explained and noted on the invoice.

Excellent service! Another company had performed repairs on our old dryer and removed the existing "hose" between the dryer outlet and vent inlet, explaining that it was an old type that was a fire hazard. However, they were not allowed to install a new one! After(luckily)noticing a Dryer Vent Wizard truck in my area, I first checked them out on Angie's list. Then I called them, we discussed our problem, they explained what they could do, and an appointment was made for two days later. Their technician, Doug, arrived precisely on time, was thoroughly professional and very courteous, and explained quite a bit about the process and procedures to me. Since our dryer needs to sit very close to the wall, but the outlet and vent inlet are offset from one another, it seemed(to me)a very difficult task to devise an appropriate connection-but not to Doug! He proved that there's nothing like having the right equipment, supplies and experience for the job! He then tested the airflow at the vent outlet outside, and then, with my approval, thoroughly cleaned the vent, which, it turned out, was most certainly necessary! The entire operation took a little more than an hour. As I explained to Doug, I don't mind paying a small premium for quality work, and that was certainly the case here! Plus, their Angie's List discount helped things out. This was an excellent example of what happens when you call the right people to do the right job! My wife and I are very pleased!

The technician didn't flinch when he saw the space he needed to crawl through to get to the vent opening outside in 10 degree weather. The dryer had been overheating and we were concerned about fire hazard. Appropriately as it turned out.

Doug came around 9 o'clock, which is the time he said he'd be here. My lower level bathroom vent was also using the same duct system as my dryer vent, so when I was using my dryer, not all of the lint and hot air was going outside, it was also going into my lower level bathroom vent, which is a big no-no. Doug had to disconnect all the dryer vent ductwork, drill a new hole through my brick house to make a new vent only for my dyer. The lower level bathroom vent would continue to use the other vent but would no longer be connected to the dryer vent system. In addition, the connection on the back on the wall wasn't the most proper/best connection. It was one of those slide systems, which makes it easy to connect to, but also allows lint/dust to escape, so Doug installed a proper connection to the wall and the back of my dryer. He also cleaned the lint from my dryer itself, it was 8 years old and never been cleaned, lots of lint there. It was worth the peace of mind to have this vented properly.

As noted, we were very pleased overall with the service. The price was a bit higher than we had hoped; however, they did perform a lot of services and were there for several hours so the price was definitely reasonable. They were very honest and gave us all of the costs up front before doing the work. We had a signed contract before they started. Assessment and work were all performed the same day.

Dryer was taking 3 tries to dry a load of towels. When I checked the vent it was dangerously clogged. Checked Angie's List, found the listing, called and had an appointment for next day. Technician arrived on time, was pleasant, located the problem, gave the estimated and began work. Work was competed in about 1.5 hours. Estimate was accurate and I just dried a load of towels in one try!

Tech came on time, was very professional and was not upset when I did not buy the yearly contract. He cleaned/removed lint from dryer and inspected dryer and washer.

Contacted company to come and clean out 35 year old dryer vent. For approximately same cost, replaced with new vent.

The gentlemen that owns it was very personable and the quality of work was good.

He was very prompt, and really nice. The great thing was that I didn't have huge window of waiting time, like most service providers.
