Dryer Vent Wizard of Greater Cincinnati

When I called, they gave me an approximate cost of cleanng and were able to schedule when I needed. Called to tell me would be a little later. When arrived, explained what would do and the cost (after checking vent length and looking behind dryer. Went over cost (higher than I thought- cost for coming not mentioned in call and hose had to be replaced). Kept me aware of what was going to do next. Finished in about 1 hour. Professional and friendly, just wish he had mentioned in initial call that additional costs would be involved- although I should have assumed.

Doug did a great job. Plus, he is a lot of fun and very nice.

He explained the work to us in detail and gave us many options for reconfiguring a small laundry room space to be the safest and most effective. We were very pleased.

After hearing the reports on television about house fires caused by clogged dryer vents, my Mother became concerned about our dryer when she found lint hanging from the exterior vent opening. She refused to do any laundry until she was certain that our dryer vent was clear. So I decided to try to remove the vent and clean it myself, but when I pulled the dryer away from the wall I discovered that our rigid metal duct had been attached to the dryer with flexible foil and had wire wrapped around it. This was more than I could handle, so I called the Dryer Vent Wizard and he came to the rescue! He arrived the next morning and NOT to our surprise told us that the way our dryer was installed was a fire hazard. Our dryer vent was replaced and he recommended that the exterior vent opening be replaced as well, since it was not closing completely. The 50 year old canopy type vent opening was replaced with a flush white louvered type that blends perfectly with the house exterior. Our technician was very pleasant and professional and we are very pleased to be able to do laundry without the fear of fire.

Doug was extremely professional and helpful. At the start of the appointment, which was only for vent cleaning, Doug measured the airflow on my dryer vent and discovered that it was much lower than expected. After trying several non-invasive methods of determining the source of the issue, he had to cut a hole in the ceiling of a hall closet to repair the dryer vent. The builder had done a poor job of connecting the pieces of the vent, and it had disconnected, so my dryer was venting into the closet ceiling - a fire hazard. Doug reconnected it securely, and repaired the closet ceiling. The airflow measurement improved from 3.5 MPH to 22.4 MPH - and my dryer now takes less time to perform its job. Doug also offered helpful guidelines on how often to get vents cleaned. I have recommended Dryer Vent Wizard to several neighbors, and I continue to recommend them highly. Will use them again for my next cleaning.

They did a good job. They were on time and they were punctual. They talked to me and moved the dryer. They cleaned the vent thoroughly. I've used them once before. I had used another company and Dryer Vent Wizard did a much better job.

We were very pleased with the service. The technician was punctual and efficient in his work. He gave us different priced options on replacement vent covers and described the pros and cons. The bird was very disappointed when it returned later to find its entry blocked, and we couldn't be happier.

Only two problems to report. Firstly, the technician arrived much later than the appointment time. At one-half hour after the appointed time, I called to report he wasn't there. The office said that he would call me back, and he did call when he was leaving the previous job (and also would have allowed me to reschedule if needed because it was so late). Eventually arrived, over an hour late. Secondly, there are scratches in a circular pattern on top of my dryer which weren't there before the service, and look like they came from the base of something resting on the dryer, such as a drill or toolbox. Other than these problems, the process went well, and it is certainly a treat to be able to get the estimate, and then have the services performed immediately, instead of having to schedule another appointment to get the work done.

They arrived close to the expected time, after placing a call saying they might be a few minutes late. A quote was given and the scope of the work was explained. Once I agreed, they stayed and completed the work, including a complete cleanup when finished. It was a great experience.

On day 1 (a holiday) I sent an email from Angie's List website to Dryer Vent Wizard stating the kind of work I wanted done and asking if it is the type of thing they do. That evening I received a call and arranged for an estimate to be done on day 3. The technician arrived on time, assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. I agreed and he started work immediately. He finished in exactly the amount of time he estimated.

Outstanding service from beginning to end! Found Dryer Vent Wizard on the internet and sent an email request for service. Ed responded immediately and followed-up with a phone call. I was out of town and he continued to phone and email daily. When I returned his call, he set up an appointment to fit into my schedule and John arrived promptly at the appointed time. Unable to complete the project that day, we scheduled again at my convenience. Doug arrived promptly, completed work in a timely manner, cleaned up nicely afterwards. All three were as pleasant as could be. I would definitely hire them again.

When the guy came out to install and replace he said it would be $149.

It went very well! Doug was very nice, very personable, and was able to joke around with me, making him easy to work with. The owner actually came by as well to check on the work.

I called Dryer Vent Wizard on Monday and they came over on Wednesday morning. Doug immediately identified the issue (the interior dryer vent was clogged with lint) and got to work. He was friendly and quick and I thought the price was reasonable, though I wish I had seen the Angie's list coupon before writing a check! I am very pleased that our dryer works efficiently once again.

Vent Wizard was late due to a problem on their earlier appointment. They did quickly do the inside work and I was able to depart for an appointment while the serviceman completed the job. The inspection revealed that the vent duct did not require cleaning, however the exterior vent was broken and needed replaced. The serviceman did a precautionary cleaning and installed a new exterior vent. All of this was done in a way that I could depart and keep my appointment. Plus, I got the Angie's List 10% discount.
