I used and Angie's coupon you have my dryer vent cleaned. Additionally, because I was not happy with the location of where my vent exited he house, I asked if there were another option. ( there was a 40+ foot run of vent tube in my attic which I thought was dangerous). For less than $400 the technician put a much shorter line and vented the dryer through my roof. I feel much safer with this solution.I was very pleased with the work.

I started experiencing a longer and longer time for my laundry to dry and grew concerned that lint was building up in my dryer ventilation system posing a fire hazard. I called Dryer Vent Wizard and was promptly greeted over the phone. I explained my concerns and Ed discussed pricing and the process of what they would do to diagnose and service (if needed). They were able to schedule a service call within a few days. Adam came out to evaluate/diagnose the situation. Adam took the time to educate me as to what he was going to do to diagnose the situation as well as things to consider doing to improve my overall dryer ventilation. He basically took the ventilation piping down and cleaned it out removing all the lint. He was on-time, professional, skilled and cleaned-up after himself. My dryer is now drying cloths much faster. doug walked me thru everything he was going to do and explain the process of cleaning the vents also went the extra mile and clean the floor under where my dryer sits also gave me tips on how to tell when the dryer vents are getting full again of lint etc...

These people do good work...no question about it. But after we asked for an "average cost" for cleaning during our initial phone contact, we were told "about $100 but it is dependent on length of run, how dirty the duct is, and other factors". So we agreed to a service call and after the diagnosis (the duct was dirty) we were quoted $275 as a minimum and $375 to replace the duct with a preferred aluminum duct. That is a HUGH DIFFERENCE for what is a pretty simple and accessible duct system. The time to do the major effort was about 1-1/2 hours for the 2 techs and I'm sure you could buy the 15' of duct for maybe $25! That makes their labor pretty expensive for what was a rather simple, easy to get to job. I feel their charges are expensive AND they didn't represent the true typical cost of their services. If they had been more forthright during the initial phone inquiry, I probably would have called other competitors. They do perform the work cleanly and comprtitently....but they should sell their services on quality.

The service went well. Doug was very professional, wearing shoe coverings when inside the house. He was very polite and considerate. He asked about plants growing outside so that he didn't destroy them when cleaning the vent from outside. He was extremely careful in his work and even vacuumed the throw rugs in the laundry room when he was finished. Since I had never had this service performed since I moved into my house seven years ago, he explained everything that he was doing. He replaced the one part that needed to be replaced. I would definitely recommend their service to others. They knew what they were doing!

They did fine, and there were no problems. I was in bed that day because I wasn’t feeling well, but my son was here. They were very quiet, and they didn’t do any damage unlike another person that came and damaged a wall system that we just had installed.

It went great! I would definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone who needed their vents cleaned.

I called on a Wednesday and they were there on Thursday morning. They called on Thursday morning early (as they said they would) and confirmed their arrival time. Then they actually showed up when they said they would, how unusual for contractors! The representative was profession and thoroughly explained what was needed and why. He also provided a written quote. Aside from the fact the poor mama bird had to lose her eggs, it was a very positive experience. I felt like the service provided was what we needed and nothing more... no high pressure, just honest evaluation. I highly recopmmend this company! When evaluating the cost, please note, it was TWO dryers, a birds nest and flex pipe that needed replacing.... not just a normal cleaning....

He arrived on time, used special shoe coverings to protect my floors, and worked very efficiently. Overall, it was a very good experience.

The vent cleaner showed up on time. He did a thorough inspection and recommended cleaning the vent and the inside of the dryer. We had an issue with a bird nesting inside the vent, so the cleaner recommended installing a new vent cover that is guaranteed bird-proof. The guarantee includes a free cleaning if a bird nests inside the vent with the new cover. Everything was taken care of in a timely manner and put back as it was. We have our washer and dryer stacked, and it was not a problem at all. I would recommend them and use them again.

Our service tech was Doug Harvey and he was awesome. Very personable and he got right down to business. He worked efficiently, knew what he was doing and explained it clearly. He talked with me like I was a partner in the issue rather than talking down like I didnt know anything. Right from the start he identified that my existing dryer vent connection was a fire hazard and needed to be upgraded. He also showed me the back and underneath parts of the dryer that he would clean and explained how he would clean those areas. He replaced the vent and sealed the outlet on the outside of the house with caulk. He was here less than two hours and accomplished a whole lot. He remained friendly and upbeat about the work the entire time, and I have great confidence that the work he did was excellent and will make a difference in our dryer performance in terms of energy efficiency, overall performance, and SAFETY. Doug was a total pro and I would definitely recommend Dryer Vent Wizard based on this experience. I will use them again when I need similar service in the future.

Doug came and quickly assessed the situation; explained succinctly why I was smelling burning when the dryer started to heat up. He completed the above work within 40 minutes and the dryer is fine now.

I was really impressed with them. It wasn’t for cleaning; we had a washer and dryer that hadn’t been hooked up for a long time. We were buying a new washer and dryer and we called them as I wanted the vent to be cleaned in case any animals were nesting in it or something. They asked me to wait till the day the dryer is getting delivered and that way we can make sure they did it right and the vent is clean. They came out, and they went up in the attic and looked at the venting. The reason I had called because the washer and the dryer are in the middle of the house and the vent goes up into the attic and then there are two rooms that are over to the end of the house, so I wanted to make sure it is connected. He told me it wasn’t connected and it is lying in pieces up in the attic, which is fabulous. But he suggested to put it up straight to the roof from where the dryer was, so it would be shorter and it would be easier to clean. So they installed a new dryer vent through the roof and they did a real good job. They were very knowledgeable. They put the new vent and all that equipment was $750 but he gave me a discount because I was Angie’s list member. They were two guys that came out and they worked together. One guy went up the roof and the other guy did put the flashing in and everything, and made sure it wouldn’t leak. He took it up to the attic and angled out to the roof. I am happy as it would be easy to clean, and that’s why the dryer is working. They had to come back, so we scheduled the time and they were very punctual. He came back with all the supplies that he needed like the metal vent material. They taped it together, since we had the shelving in the area, they worked around the shelving and the flexible connections so if we need to move it down anytime, we could. The connection to the wall is also flexible, so if you want to move the dryer it would move with the dryer. He said; during installation a lot of companies don’t give the right material with the dryer vent. Dryer vent needs flexible tubing. But the rigid tubing is what they use because it is easier to clean. They put pieces together and cleaned up afterwards and they were done after one and a half hours. I was very impressed. The person who came out was John, and he knew what he was doing. I was a little surprised about the price, but at that point I didn’t care, because I knew it was the job that was done right. We didn’t have to do it, and that was a good thing.

I had seen the company ad in Reach Magazine last year and it perked my interest. Checked rating on Angie's list ( my first use of this}.Dryer Vent Wizard had an excellent rating. I called the company. Person was very pleasant and helpful. Time was scheduled. The worker came at the appointed time. He explained everything to me. I felt very comfortable with him. He was very efficient. He told me he would be here for about 90 minutes. He was finished in 70 minutes. He told me to I should not need service for 2 years. I will definitely call them again. Since I told him I had seen the ad in Reach, he gave me that discount.

This is an excellent company to work with. I called yesterday and he was here today. He did more than I expected and pointed out helpful hints for me so I can detect issues in the future. He was proffessional and a realy joy to work with. Highly recommend this company.

They were prompt, courteous. Excellent results, effective with great apperance. If I did not have an Angie's List coupon deal, I would not have been able to afford the installation.

John was on time and very professional. Explained to me how lint was getting all over the utility room. Replaced the vent and sealed the cover on the outside. All in all took a little less than an hour.

The work from start to finish went perfectly. He even rewrote the invoice to give me the angie's list discount after I mentioned it to him on his way out the door.

He did a good job and the price was reasonable. I would use them again in the future.

I would rate this company higher than 5 stars if I could. On Saturday January 21, 2012, the dryer vent detached inside our dryer when we were cleaning the lint from the duct. After unsuccessfully trying to re-attach it, we decided to call for service. Our excellent appliance repair company (Day's Appliance Repair) surprisingly old us they do not do this repair, and referred us to Dryer Vent Wizard. I called them and explained my desperation - business trip the entire next week and no clean clothes - and asked if they could come out. Even though it was already 10am on a Saturday, with ice coating most of Cincinnati, and our house is in Anderson Township on the other side of town from their location, the owner picked up a truck and came to our house and did the repair. Absolutely exceeded our expectations! I recommend them highly and would use them again in a heartbeat.

We had a disagreement. They couldn’t find the paperwork saying we had paid. They finally said that there was going to be an additional charge. I told him I didn’t want to pay him anymore, that my understanding was that I was going to get my dryer vent cleaned for that first amount. I told him it felt like a bait and switch. That set him off. He said “we’re all good Christian men and we all go to the same church.” I wasn’t sure what that had to do with cleaning a dryer vent. He wanted to clean out a tray for $35. I thought that might be extra. Then he wanted $49 for an inspection. That was not in the deal. I told him I was willing to pay the $35. He was too upset and he didn’t do the other work. He did clean the vents in four to six minutes. It was $151 for a job that size. I have no idea what kind of job he did. He was very angry and that was it. He left in a huff. I shouldn’t have said that about the bait and switch. I feel like we could have taken care of that. I doubt he really cleaned the vent. It was not ten minutes. If he hadn't been angry then he might have done a better job. When I first sent them an email I got no response.

I had a $79 coupon and he was very good and informative. He explained different things and I will use him again in the future.
