Great experience, excellent work

The dryer vent was evaluated, estimated, and installed the same day. I never expected just a cleaning because I knew we had a greater problem than that. The representative was clean, courteous, and knowledgeable. His estimate was accurate and the installed vent has worked much better. I recommend them without hesitation.

This was my first Angies List Big Deal. I have always wondered if it was a good idea to buy services in advance to save money or would the contractors just find ways to add charges to their services so you end up paying the same anyway. I am happy to report that I had a very good experience Dryer Vent Wizard. They came and inspected my dryer vent, which is about 30 feet in the ceiling of a finished basement. Told me the cost would be $150. I had the deal where i had already paid $79 for $150 of services and that was that. They cleaned the vent well. Were on time, actually early. And were friendly and answered all my questions. I would definitely hire them again next time I need to have the vent cleaned.

Very well! The machine sucked out a large pile of dryer lint that had accumulated over the past 8 years. The technician was quick and thorough. The dryer now performs better also! I will do this service again when it needs it.

They were not able to make originally scheduled appointment due to a job running late. I called the office and was called back within ten minutes, explaining the problem and set up a new time on a Saturday. They were very obliging and arrived on time.

Dryer vent cleaning is a task I have been performing for years. However, I have grown weary of the chore and decided to go for the special offer from Dryer Vent Wizard. The experience was quite positive. The future plan will be to have this company return for many years to come. This company gets nothing but high marks from me.

The service technician arrived on time. He checked the dryer vent and presented upgrade options, but I went with the big deal purchase. There was no pressure to upgrade. Service technician seemed knowledgeable and it improved the drying time.

They came on time and completed the job as they promised. I just thought from the ad on Angie's list that my vent would be cleaned for the price shown.

We had purchased through an Angie's List special, but had to pay a little more, due to an extra long dryer vent run. Didn't like paying the extra, but thought the additional cost was reasonable. I would use this service again and recommend to friends.

Bob, the technician from Dryer Vent Wizard called ahead and was a few minutes early for his appointment. Bob was very professional, he explained the process and not only increased our dryer air output 500% but found where we could improve our duct efficiency that will save us money and make our vent safer. We will be calling them back to run our dryer vent duct work when we remodel this spring. I was impressed that he cleaned up the work area pretty well also.

Arrived on time, "Doug" was very willing to discuss the work, and was professional and efficient.

Showed up on time, explained we had lint falling out of vent. They found and replaced the broken piece and cleaned the rest of the vent. They checked the "air speed" before and after the clean out our dryer vent (they showed me the results before and after). Cleaned up after they were done.

This was my second interaction with DVW. The first went fine, but after several months of using our new front loading washer and dryer (from our previous top loaders), my wife decided that it was a real hassle to transfer clothes because "the doors opened the wrong way" and blocked the process in our narrow laundry room. Checking with the appliance mfgr, it turned out that the dryer door could be reversed, but not the washer. So we eventually resigned ourselves that the washer and dryer positions had to be switched. Made an appointment well in advance for a day I would be home from work and the DVW guy called about an hour before asking if it was OK for him to arrive early. I said sure, he came and we assessed my proposed switch. He was very knowledgeable and practical in his advice. Eventually, because of other wires, pipes, etc. in the wall, but the overall "run" being fairly short, we agreed that it would be OK to just connect to the existing wall duct using some flex aluminum duct tubing, instead of moving the "in wall" ductwork. We also found that the gas pipe to the dryer would now be too short to reach across to its new location, so while he made the changes in the dryer duct, I ran out to get a new gas line. It turns out that local codes have recently changed and that a gas line as long as I wanted was no longer being stocked locally. So, since the DVW guy had another nearby appointment, I kept looking, he also called his sources, and came back to finish the hookup after I finally found a gas line that was just barely long enough (but still shorter than the original plan). This was all included in the original charge. Another reason I gave an A rating to the price is that I did this work using an Angie's List coupon that saved me about 1/2. As you can see from my ratings, this was a great experience across the board with Dryer Vent Wizard, and quite exceptional considering my typical encounters with Cincy area service people.

.I had called just to get a dryer vent cleaning. When he arrived he said that my problem was not only a blockage but also the connection was not up to code, and I think it wasn't even connected. He fixed all of that, cleaned up the whole place. Great job.

We are so glad we had Doug come out. We are in a house that's new to us, and our home inspector had warned us that the dryer vent was plugged up and seemed to be broken. We also noticed that our dryer wasn't working well and we never had problems with it in our old house. Doug figured out what was wrong very quickly. We needed some major repairs and that's why the price was a little high. Thankfully, I had already bought a coupon good for $150 towards the service! It took Doug about 2 hours, but everything seems to be running well. He did such a great job, I signed up for their annual inspection and cleaning service. I would definitely recommend them.

Overall I was very pleased with the work that was done. They were very courtesy, explained things clearly and did quality work very efficiently. The only negative was their punctuality. After an hour and half had passed from my appointment time, I finally called and had to reschedule. They were running late again the next day but did at least call to give me an update and estimated arrival time.

The technician was punctual, polite and overall it was a great experience. The technician explained in great detail exactly what he was doing and kept me informed every step of the way. One thing I would recommend is that the technicians wear shoe booties to cover their shoes to prevent carpet from getting dirty.

A burning smell began in our dryer and I suspected it was lint. I immediately turned off the dryer and vacuumed all around it. I then researched Dryer Vent Wizard on Angie's List and found great reviews and a big deal. I called on Thursday and left a message, my call was returned a couple hours later and was able to get an appointment the next day. Doug Harvey came out and was very professional. He explained everything that he planned to do and showed me the costs up front. We have two dogs and he was very good with them both! (big relief!). I told Ed when I scheduled that I had a conference call and Doug acknowledged that and asked if it was ok to interrupt when he was finished. The service took about an hour and a half. During this time, he cleaned the dryer, cleared the vents (inside and outside), cleaned all of the lint on the outside of the house as well. Doug cleaned everything up and was on his way. I was very happy with the service and will use them again.

The Dryer Vent Wizard tech was very thorough and professional--my 14 year old dryer is running like new, and probably takes 1/3 less time to dry clothes now that it has been so thoroughly cleaned from lint trap to external house exhaust and everything in between. I am so glad we had this done-- the peace of mind relating to a potential dryer-fire with that many years of lint build-up alone is well worth the cost of this service.

It went very well. The technician arrived on time. He inspected the system, explained the reason for replacing the vent hose - that it was a fire hazard. He presented the cost, i agreed and he performed the replacement as well as cleaning the dryer vent. He told me the work would take about 90 min. to two hours. The job was done within the time frame. He was very neat and professional.
