Dryer Vent Wizard of Greater Cincinnati

Would recommend this company to anyone. From our first contact with Brenda on the phone to the service person, Neil, this company is professional and equiped to handle difficult situations. Our dryer vent is long and under the first level floor over a finished basement ceiling - seeing that the vent was extremely loose (to the point of possible future fire hazard) the service person first fixed and secured the vent (in an extremely tight working area) without much cosmetic damage to the basement ceiling, which he repaired before he left. We were very pleased.

Prompt, professional. Gave me tips to keep it clean. My "fabric" gasket was coming off and he put it back on with some sealant and its been good to go ever since. Also gave me tips on keeping my front loader washer from smelling musty.

They were on time, friendly, and helpful.

Appreciated the call to let me know he was running behind - vent hasnt been cleaned in 10 years but wasn't too bad considering - the price was great for angie's "big deal" but would have been pricey without it - replaced vent as one of the flaps was broken - new vent will also keep birds from getting in to nest - friendly and professional service - took the time to clean up the lint that had falled into the grass.

By having my dryer cleaned Ed explained and showed what would happen if I don't do this. a potential Fire... Worth the money and peace of mind.

The guy was very nice. He was very efficient, he was very fast and I liked the deal. I scheduled another appointment for next year, he added me to the call list so I can have my vents cleaned again next year.

We used Dryer Vent Wizard a few years ago and decided it was time to utilize their services once again. The technician was a little late but he did a good job. We also have a better idea of how often we should have the dryer vents cleaned. We plan to continue to use this company in the future and recommend them highly.

I used Dryer Vent Wizard of Greater Cincinnati two, two and a half years ago. Again my husband was home for that so I really don't know, I know that the way that coupon worked is was a certain amount towards what we did and then to pay a little bit extra for what we needed to have done. That was okay. We probably need to call them back to do it again. But the work is fine.

They were excellent. They were punctual and they cleaned up after their work. The guy was very personable. I thought the price was right. He also said that if you find your drying isn't working, they come back and check to see if they missed anything. He took his time and didn't hurry.

We recently bought a new washer and dryer and needed a dryer vent installed in our basement. I called and talked to Ed, was told it would cost less than $200. So I set up an appointment and Doug showed up on time and got his equipment ready. After he looked at the basement, he gave us a quote of $419, certainly a lot more than what I was told on the phone but we needed the dryer vent installed, so I was okay with this. Took maybe an hour to complete the job and looks great. We haven't purchased the pedestals yet for the washer and dryer but Doug said that when we do, give him a call and he'll come out and adjust the dryer hose to make sure it's correct with the height of the dryer.

We had a tricky bend in our vent and he came in and fixed it right away. He cleaned the remaining vents that weren't the new ones. He went above and beyond what we were expecting. He was very very nice.

Dryer Vent Wizard of Greater Cincinnati came out last month to do work for me. It was well over $300 but it was worth it. We found out that the dryer was actually had a reduced amount of air flowing through it because of the clogged airline. So we are going to have buy a new dryer because it should be in the 20s, upper 20s and mine was less than 19. So it's taking longer for it to dry, but it's not clogged up anymore. The dryer is fairly old so we are looking to get a new dryer. The technician was very, very good, explained everything and the number of dryer fires are in the US these days, a lot of dryer fires contribute to house fires and burning down. It was something that I was concerned about, it was unbelievable what he got out of that dryer vent once he blew it clean and then fixed the dryer so we had the proper piping up. It should not be a flexible pipe, it needs to be a solid pipe. Nobody told me we didn't have the proper one until he got there. We were having problems with the dryer not drying in the proper period of time.

The gentleman was polite... however, a simple appointment to clean turned into a $750.00 estimate to replace the whole system and a refusal to clean. Employed the fire scare tactics, etc. It feels like very much a scam. Apparently the code was changed back in 1998 and that is not made clear until arrival. will clean it my self.

Doug, the technician from Dryer Vent Wizard, called to let me know that he was running a little late because the last job had taken longer than he anticipated. This was no problem at all and I appreciated the fact that he let me know he was running a little late. Doug was friendly, helpful and very professional. He knew exactly what he was doing. I had wanted Dryer Vent Wizard to clean the dry vent and that's exactly what Dean did. He inspected where the vent had been installed and discovered the dryer vent line needed to be replaced. Doug stated it would take about an hour. The work was completed and the mess was cleaned up by Dean.

Alright but not the additional charges.

I suggested arrival after 2 PM. Arrived 2:15 PM. Dryer exhaust/lint trap cleaning and vent replacement went quickly. Drilling hole in foundation wall was a bear and took a big chunk of time(of course.) Clean up was excellent. Service provider recommended running dryer on high heat for 1/2 hour to seal the tape on the vent joints. I did that as he was leaving. No more lint on car in the garage. No more leaving garage door open during dryer run time.

Overall, I was very pleased with the service and would use them again.

I called Dryer Vent Wizard to make sure appointments were available before I bought the $150 Big Deal. I scheduled without a problem. The technician came out and inspected the dryer and the venting system and then cleaned it out, measuring air flow before and after to demonstrate the effect of the cleaning. He also suggested a new transition -- the conduit between the dryer and the pipe to outside -- be installed, saying the one we had was made of flammable materials. My husband and I decided to have him install a new transition for an additional $69. The technician also charged $49 for the diagnostic inspection in addition to the $151 for the vent cleaning -- $150 of which I had already paid through my purchase of the Big Deal. I paid in full. After the technician left, I looked again at the Big Deal and found wording that said it was supposed to cover inspection and cleaning. I immediately called Ed, the owner, and he agreed that I should not have been charged the $49. He promised to return my check. He did. I wrote a new check for $70 (to pay for the new transition and the $1 not covered by the Big Deal, which is just weird but I wasn't going to argue about that). The technician was polite and professional. My dryer has been drying clothes faster. And I hope the transition is now safer.

John was on time (early, he called to see if that was ok). I have had issues with the venting from our dryer into the wall for years - I don't think it was done correctly from the time the house was built. The space is so small that we've only been able to patch it up ourselves, but it was beyond our abilities and venting not only into the laundry room but I suspect into the wall. John assessed the situation and measured the air output (which was under the minimum) and told me how he could fix it and gave me what I considered a fair price. He had to replace a section of the vent in the wall as well as replace the venting from the dryer to the wall. He also cleaned the duct. He was done with it all in under 2 hours and when he re-measured the air output had jumped up considerably. The whole thing looks more solid and I am confident that it is now safe. For me, it was well worth the price (the cleaning itself was $117 after coupon but it is a longer line, I believe. The rest was for the repair work.) He left everything neat and ready to use. I recommend this company 100%.
