Description of Work: They blew the leaves off my roof, and out of the valleys. I have screens in my gutters, so they did not have to clean the gutters. I was leaving when they arrived, so all I can say is that they were on time, and seemed nice.

Description of Work: They did a chimney sweep. They also inspected our chimney and recommended putting a new chase cover on. They did an excellent job, including painting any wood trim that was affected. Very professional and neat.

Description of Work: They were unable to complete the inspection because they found a kinked gas lin. They ordered a replcement gas line tube from the gas log manufacturer which they said they would replace when it is deliveerd. | |During the inspection they discovered rusting in the fire chamber. They said that the rusting was due to a cracked chiminey crown. They applied crown coat to cracked crown to stop water leaking. Total charge was $543 less the $99 we paid through Angie's List for the tune-up and inspection.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's List service of gutter cleaning and roof inspection with Arco. We tried quite a few times to schedule service, and every time the day came around, we had a snowstorm. Not their fault, just an explanation of why it took awhile to get done. | |The technicians did a fine job of cleaning the gutters and inspecting the roof, as well as cleaning up after themselves. They informed me that my gutters needed some work, as the spikes had pulled out at the top end of each side and were sagging. They said the gutters had some dents, and I might want to consider replacing them. I asked for estimates on both repairing and replacing them. They also told me that the chimney flashing had peeled up over the winter, and needed to be replaced, so I asked for an estimate on that as well. They told me the estimate would be emailed later that day, and it was. | |However, that was where I had a problem. The estimate for the chimney flashing replacement was $900. The estimate for the gutter replacement was $775 for 84 linear feet of gutter ($9.23 per linear foot). There was no estimate to repair the gutters. I asked for one, and was told one would be sent, but it never was. I was more than a little shocked at the prices, particularly for the gutters. I have a tiny house, with a straight piece of gutter on both the front and back--no corners or bends. Very simple. I did some research, and found that installed gutters in our area should be between $4 and $8 per linear foot, not $9.23. | |So, I contacted the roofer I had used after Ike swept through 5 years ago, and asked him to check it out (Bruce Sweigart in Vandalia,OH). He told me the flashing and gutters could easily be repaired. He said he could make a case for replacing the gutters, but also said there was no problem with fixing them and reinforcing the attachments with interior hangars. Bruce said the flashing could be fixed and didn't need to be completely replaced. He laughed when I told him the gutter estimate, and told me that if I decided to replace them he'd charge about $400. I had both the flashing and gutters fixed, and Bruce charged me $350. As opposed to the almost $1700 Arco wanted to replace both. I must admit, I didn't do any checking to see if the price for replacing the chimney flashing was in line with other companies in the area, but I do know the gutter replacement price was way too high.

Description of Work: I used the Big Deal and gutter cleaning service of ARCO Roofing Chimney & Remodeling. They fixed the flushing in front of the house and they cleaned the gutters.

Description of Work: We needed to have our gas fireplace and logs cleaned and had noticed that the flames were all concentrated on the right side. The technicians found that our gas line was corroded from a leak in our chimney. We had them repair the holes in the masonry of our chimney, repair the gas line and add new logs. The guys were prompt and kept us informed through out the process. We had a real safety issue brewing, so it was great to get it all repaired and up to speed.
