Gary R. was a joy to work with. Professional and friendly. Gave honest information supported by pictures. No questions after his visit and we have now contracted with ARCO to do more work.

Albert, our ARCO inspector, was unbelievably thorough. We were grateful that ARCO provided us with 200 pictures of the house's exterior, which showed areas of concern and areas that were in great condition. The report was very detailed and included costs to repair or replace each area of concern. Albert was able to access the roof and exterior without us present, so we didn't meet in person. However, we spoke a few times over the phone and exchanged some emails. We hired ARCO to complete the most critical repairs prior to closing. Specifically, ARCO will replace the power vent on the roof. In addition to the inspector being so professional and helpful, we were also extremely impressed by Ali, who works in customer service at ARCO. We exchanged emails and phone calls, and she was always helpful, knowledgeable, and very personable and professional. Her personal touch, from the very first email I received mere minutes after purchasing the deal on Angie's List, I always felt like a valued customer. I especially appreciated that I never once received an automatically generated email.

My house is very high and the roof is steep. However, Albert did an excellent job to clean the gutterand took picture of the gutters before and after the job. He was punctual and efficient. He shared a dropbox of the images. I am happy and will use them in the future.

I used this company because they had a 99.00 special on chimney cleaning. The first guy that came out did a terrible job cleaning. He didn't even clean the trap ash door out. Then he put the flue back in backwards. When I went to shut the flew I couldn't. They had to come back out and fix that and the second guy agreed that the first guy did a poor job cleaning. They also told me my crown wash at on the base of the chimney was cracked. I had them replace it and they told me there were cracks down my chimney. I had 2 other companies come out to check it and both companies told me the crown wash that Arco put in was a couple inches thinner then it should be. Not only that but Arco made a huge mess on my roof. They dripped and left large pieces of concrete on my roof and on my grass. I went to use my outside hose and found concrete that Arco used for the crown wash on my patio and a large amount on top of the dirt near my shrubs. It's as if they poured the unused concrete on the edge of my patio and in my dirt. I still cannot remove part of the concrete from my patio. They made a huge mess. I will never hire them again. The two other companies wanted to know who did my crown wash and they both said the same thing. It was too thin. Both of the other companies commented on all the concrete that was all over my roof too.

Fantastic. These guys were responsive, professional, answered all my questions directly and unambiguously. They even went down to my basement and cleaned out the ash chute "while we're here" which was not in the original agreement. This was exactly the high quality, great service, and ZERO hassle that I was looking for. Next time my chimney needs a cleaning, I'll be calling ARCO.

They were fantastic. He was extremely knowledgable and gave us information we had never heard before. The prices he gave were beyond excellent, but he also gave us a sense of security in our upkeep. The individual who came out was just awesome.

Originally it went really well. The salesman I spoke with was friendly and encouraging and really sold the product. After I agreed to have them do the work, I realized they were pretty much replacing all of my neighbor's roofs as well. They never really gave a date specifically for when the work would be done, just a week since there was a lot of work to do. When they finally showed up to do the work, they were very late in the day, and didn't finish until well after dark fell. The work they did seemed adequate, but what do I know. The only real issues I had was trying to get a correct bill from them. I received 3 of them after a while and each one was slightly different than the others. Once I finally got a bill for the price we agreed on originally it was paid without issue. During this time however, trying to get them on the phone to ask questions was frustrating, I would have to call multiple times a day to get someone on the phone, and in most cases they would have to ask someone else and call me back, which would take a long time. The reason I am writing this review so late is because I am not in the process of selling the house, and just had a home inspector notify me that as for 2012 a drip edge on the roof is required for Ohio Building Code, the work was done on my house in 2013, and I have no drip edge. From the pictures, there looks like there was a drip edge at some point, but it appears to have been removed, and never replaced. Now I have to pay someone else to come install the drip edge, that I can only assume was taken down when the roof was replaced.

They were punctual and professional. They told us what they were going to do and why and then they did it.

Would not suggest for anyone to hire this companies business. Being new or unorganized does not help build a good reputation for others.

Arrived on time. The company was booked out a few weeks but not unreasonable.

The showed up on time, very professional, and kept my house clean. They even emailed me later a link to view all the before/after photos that they took.

They were timely, considerate and clean. They sent me all photographs from the initial inspection on Dropbox, so I have a record of before and after. They also showed me the video scope and pulled up pictures of healthy chimneys so we could see how much damage we have (we just moved into this 1922 house and knew they chimney was in bad shape!). It reassured me that we weren't getting hoodwinked. They seemed honest and trustworthy.

It went very well cleaned gutters and said roof was fine nothing needed to be done to the roof at all , impressed that he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need

Very Professional and detail-oriented. He showed me places where I could use a couple of preventative repairs and gave me all of the accompanying information to make an informed decision. I would recommend.

I signed a paper to install a wood stove in my fire place, it was approved then I got a call telling me I would need to reline my fire place so stove would fit, they would do it for $600. I had it done by someone else. I contact them to see if I can put fire brick on the floor to level it out and raise it up 1 1/4", I was told yes. When they get here they do not have anything to work with so they wait around a couple of hours on all the parts to get here. They put the stove in and it is up off the harth 1 1/4" which would be ok but the faceplate was up 1 1/4" and it looked like crap, So they pull the stove out and tare out $60.00 of brick I paid someone to put in. They put the stove back in hook up the flow pipe and it was rocking and in croocked, I told them and I was told it was ok, so I had them take it out. They fixed the problem and put it back in. The faceplate is just floping around and they tell me it is the way it is supposed to be. I tell them I would have the rock cut if they come back and mortar around it, I was told ok. I go out side to look at the job they had done on the flow pipe, I could not see what they done, but I see a piece of plastic pipe on the ground, come to fine out they cut my furnace pipe off for fresh air intake. I paid $4075.00 and told them after they came back and put mortor around the faceplate and repair my furnace pipe I would pay the other $500.00. They came and put an elbow on, if it is glowed they did not clean the pipe first. the pipe should be two feet from exhaust pipe, so it should have an elbow and a piece of pipe long enough to make it two feet, not just an elbow. So that is were we are right now. Hopefully Angie's List can help out with this.

It went very well. They scheduled the service and showed up on time. It seems as though they did a thorough job. They showed me pictures of the damage before doing the work. They cleaned up before they left. They even started a fire to test it out and make sure everything was in working order. When they came to install the liner, they had a second person and the guys worked so well together. They were very courteous to me and it was a very nice experience.

This was a big deal purchase. It went well. We have not done the additional work with them. They said they were going to give us some follow up estimates on some roof work and we have not seen anything yet. We are still waiting on them.

Home was built in 1964. Nice big wood burning fireplace that we had used for years but approximately 10 + years ago we noticed a touch of smoke in the basement when burning a fire. This was shown to be coming in between the rafters and the poured foundation. Had a bunch of people out including some of the best well known people in the city. Each would seem puzzled by this and offer to fix it but with 5 different contractors I got 5 different fixes and none would guarantee their work as solving the smoke problem. We opted to use none of them and lived without the fireplace for those 10+ years and figured that would be the end of the story. For some reason this past September I thought I would try to get it fixed 1 final time. I looked here on Angie's list and called the first name at the top with the best reviews; Arco. They came out to do a cleaning and an inspection of the entire fireplace with a main focus of figuring out why it was smoking in the basement. A thorough cleaning and inspection showed I had several issues but perhaps most crucial were some cracked flue tiles along with some gapping mortar areas. The solution they devised wasn't cheap but they were confident that they had the fix which also came with a long term warranty on the work and products used. Obviously they won the bid. Oh, and btw? if I had used any of the other bids from the "experts" of years past I still would have had the problem because not one of them even took the time to look up the flue much less inspect it. Hmmm, I now wonder why not. Gary of Arco did however and we are glad of it. The happy ending is they showed up on time, did the work well, were pleasant and we now have a fireplace that is back in use. Burns well and smoke goes where it should; up and out with none in the basement. Thank you Arco/Gary and Nick. That family room was made whole again because there is just something about a fire.

Inherited a VERY dirty chimney with our new house. Once it was cleaned and inspected, it became obvious it was in a sad state of disrepair, and a potential fire hazard. Chimney was fixed right on the spot, at a good price, and we were educated as to what to do to keep up the yearly maintenance and make our fireplace more efficient. I would recommend again, and will be calling them back next fall for our yearly cleaning.

fine, we had a crack in a cement board they installed after 2 fires and they came out and fixed it for no charge.

Well we had buckets of rain pouring in the chimney after he repaired the cap. Not happy. Still have concrete drips on the cement in front of our house and drips on the roof. The owner came and finally fixed the cap after wanting us to wait for 5 weeks. I would never never use them agian
