It was great. Super professional. Super quality. Handled everything at a great cost. Bathroom looks amazing and it was done super fast. Could not of asked for better service. If you are looking to remodel a bathroom or anything in your house these are the guys to go to.

The work done by Hansen Restoration in my kitchen was absolutely perfect. I have waited years to redo my kitchen and I couldn't have been happier with the quality, professionalism and over all cost of the job. I finally have the kitchen I've always wanted.

This job was a remodel of my home before we sold it the bathroom needed updated badly, our flooring was very old and worn as well as the wall colors. I really wanted to sell my home quickly and I knew that without updates and new floors that it would be hard for me so I was really counting on a company to come in and do a great and timely job. From the beginning all of the communication with Hansen was wonderful. I did call them frequently with lots of questions because I was really counting on the profits from selling my house so in turn I was counting on them to do a fantastic job with no surprises or hiccups. They reassured all of my concerns and took the time to be thorough with me when explaining the project details which eased my mind quite a bit. I was impressed with everyone who worked on my home they were very courteous of keeping it clean, removing their shoes when dirty, had so much attention to detail, and always seemed so knowledgable about their trade. I had my bathroom totally gutted and redone with new flooring, paint, upper wall cabinet, vanity, faucet, mirror, and light fixture. It turned out beautifully and helped me sell my house within just a few days. The quality was apparent to anyone who viewed the home. All of the painting and trim work also turned out flawlessly, I was so pleased with how much it changed the feel of the home. And lastly all of the bamboo flooring that was installed went in without a hitch. I have children and a busy schedule so I was concerned about how long we would need to be out of the way for everything and they really took our situation into consideration and worked both quickly and efficiently. Choosing a contractor to work on my home was one of the hardest decisions I've made for fear of someone doing poor work or not fulfilling our agreement. When it is something as big and as important as your home I don't think you can be careful enough. Working with Hansen was in my opinion everything that a Home remodeling/improvement experience should be. I felt as if they genuinely cared about the work they were doing and about creating a lifelong customer relationship with me. One of the biggest surprises during my project was their willingness to show me options to save me money and offering me advice on things I could actually easily do myself in order to keep my bill low. That spoke volumes to me about the integrity and intentions of this company, especially since my experience with any business is almost always them finding ways to get me to spend more money. I highly recommend them to anyone considering any sort of home improvement project.

I'd like to start off by saying that all issues (except chipped tub) were eventually corrected, but the process to get to the final product was difficult. For the painting and plaster repair, the subcontractor was cleaning and storing tools in my finished bathroom, which was out of scope for the project. This lead to a scratched and cracked sink and chipped bathtub. I had also asked to have some additional electrical outlets added to 2 out of my 3 bedrooms. I came home to find the start of adding outlets to the one bedroom that I didn't want any additional outlets, and the approach was awful! I thought they were going run the electrical along the baseboards, but they added some thick plastic strip along the wall about a foot above the baseboard. The bath remodel was probably the worst, because the work was just sloppy. The corners of the trim weren't properly mitered, which left gaps in the corners. There were parts of the drywall that were not cleanly cut. There was a leak from the sink. The electrical was the worst part..... they used an electrical box that was wider than the light sconce, so there was blue plastic showing on each side of the light fixture. The light switch was even put on crooked!

We have not contracted the job yet, but will be in the future.

We ended up getting out bid on the home, but I would hire them to remodel our home in a hear beat. They were on the job site waiting for us to arrive there, called to confirm prior. Returned my calls very promptly. Everyone there I dealt with were very professional and kind.

Hansen Restoration was great! Our contractor stayed on budget, provided us with new ideas and products, and completed everything before our deadline. I highly recommend Hansen Restoration to anyone and I will continue to use them for our next remodel!

It went very well. Everything was done as requested and we only had to wait for the weather to clear up to get the siding painted.

Work was done while I was at work. Everything was done to make the repair stable and to last, could not be more pleased with the finished product.

This was the first time our family of perfectionist DIY-ers has ever hired anyone to do this type of work for us. But, I live in Cincinnati, and needed a large guestroom built into my parents' home in Northeast Ohio -- there was no way to do it ourselves. I pride myself on exhaustive research, and had obviously planned to get 3 estimates before hiring any company. Using Angie's List as a guide, I contacted a few places, and heard from Hansen Restoration within 30 minutes of my initial e-mail. This first contact played a large part in our hiring Hansen. Sean was incredibly personable, and very informative. We set up a meeting for the following week, and Jim Hansen (the owner) came to do a walk-through and discuss the project with me. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and honesty. I knew immediately that these guys were the right fit, and I hired them without getting any other estimates. (Understand that this is CRAZY behavior for me!) I am an artist/designer, and am very particular regarding aesthetics. Everyone at Hansen was a dream to work with, and they were very patient with all of my questions. Devin Hansen was the project manager for our job, and he was ALWAYS available to answer questions or help solve a problem. They told me how long the job would take, and actually finished earlier than expected. I decided to add some extra work, and Devin had the supplemental invoice ready within an hour of our discussing it. But I must now sing the praises of Tomasz, the one who spent each day with us, working on what turned out to be a gorgeous room. This man is almost superhuman in his speed and craftsmanship. Even my father, in whose house the work was being done, was impressed with Tom -- and my father is not easily impressed. Not only did he do a beautiful job, he was such a delight. I felt like crying when we said goodbye to him on the last day. I can't speak highly enough of Hansen Restoration. We were so lucky to find them, and I would recommend them 100 times over. Sean, Jim, Devin and Tom were all wonderful! And I got a swanky guest suite, with alcoves and cozy nooks, for a very reasonable price. I can't complain about a thing!

I'm the guy that never gives perfect scores, so I didn't with this contractor either. My point is that I'm a tough critic, not a jerk when it comes to reviews. That being said.. This company was professional, priced fairly and did quality work. From beginning to end, I was assigned a professional project manager who was INDEPENDENT of the work being done (a very good thing). If I had an issue, I called him and the course of the project was re-directed or fixed. The only reason these guys didn't get a perfect score was due to two very small and easily correctable issues. One involved an incorrect paint color and the other involved a misunderstanding on how some trim wood should have been used. Both issues were resolved in a timely manner and finished correctly. Bottom line: I would use these guys again and recommend them to anyone else that needs remodeling or restoration work completed. I don't typically write reviews. When I do write them, its for a contractor who performs poorly or does an exceptional job. Hansen Restoration did an exceptional job.

It was a free estimate. They were much higher than we wanted to pay. It was the first time we used them. There were two people who came. It was a written quote.

They were great! I had some difficulty regarding communication. They are a massive operation. Be ready to wait your turn for a crew to begin work. However, our project manager was able to pull a crew from a site "on hold" and get them into our house to do the work. Every single person I worked with was professional, tidy, and detailed. I would absolutely hire Hansen again!

Jim Hansen is very professional and knowledgeable in his work. All the appointments were kept on time. A very detailed estimate was provided for all 3 appointments. However, it appears that Hansen Restorations prefers to work on larger projects rather than small ones (in terms of $$). My first estimate was for a full basement (35 x 26) remodel (rip out old panels from walls, rip out old drop ceiling, put new drywall on walls and new drop ceiling, flooring with vinyl, make couple doors, paint and the whole nine yards) The price was close to $18,000. This was beyond my scope so i called him again and asked to take out painting and flooring (i would DIY it), no doors and leave cinder block walls exposed with layer of drylock paint (no drywall). Price was over $15,000. Not the reduction i was expecting. But i liked the professionalism and attention to detail so i wanted to hire Hansen over others. The third time around i was expecting to be even more clear on what i want: i had already done all teh demolition and hauling away of the debris. The basement walls were clean and ready for framing + Drywall. Ceiling was clean and ready for Drywall (except framing around the duct work). No paint. No doors. No flooring. No waterproof paint. Price still came to be over $15,000!!! My take away from this is that he did not want the job. My other estimates for exact same work were around $7,000 and $8,000. I would consider Hansen again - but if i have a major big job and not for small work. I also give high marks to Jim Hansen.

They came out and gave us a free estimate. They were happy to provide details about the roofing system they use. They removed the old roofing material and damaged wood. They made sure to hall away all the trash and cleaned everything up. They showed us everything they were doing. They replaced the wood and put down the new roofing in one day. Everyone from Hansen was professional and great to work with. I was very happy with their service and with my new roof.

It went excellent, they came out and did everything and painted the porch.

The provider ordered the incorrect flooring, so it delayed the project. They did obtain the correct flooring even though it was an unusual size. We were very happy with the quality of all work that was performed

We had used Hansen for a painting project a few months earlier and we had been impressed by their workmanship and professionalism so when it was time to upgrade the closets we called them. They provided a detailed work order after coming out and evaluating the job. They were timely and did a great job including a little extra we didn't include originally. They were responsive to phone calls and we would use them again.

I bid out the job to three companies that I found here on Angie's List. Hansen Restoration was the most prompt, most attentive, and most economical of the three companies. Two of their employees came out and spent about an hour listening to what I wanted done, taking measurements, and giving me verbal ball park figures for the job. They stated that they would send me an estimate by e-mail within 48 hours, which they did. They were about $2500 under their competition. Once I determined to go with Hansen and gave them the okay to start the work, they had me scheduled to begin within 10 days. I had them remodel our bathroom. We had a weird soffit over the shower which made it hard to stand up straight. We had an electric outlet over the sink that was 6' high on the wall. We had patchy ceramic tile on the floor that had come up in several spots. We had awful salmon-colored tile on the walls all the way around the room. We also had an old heat vent that was not used by our heating system in the wall. They fixed all of that: removed the soffit, put in a new shower/tub unit, removed the tile, replaced it with drywall, lowered and replaced the electrical outlet, and put down new linoleum. In our basement, we had water damage which had rotted some paneling. We had a leaky toilet previously, which had damaged the ceiling. We had paneling on our stairs that had come off the wall. We had a patch of wall that had been damaged when we replaced a kitchen pipe. They removed the water-damaged paneling and hauled it away. They put up framing and moisture resistant dry wall. They knocked out parts of the ceiling that was damaged and replaced the drywall. They plastered and feathered in what they replaced to the existing ceiling. They reattached the paneling on the stairs and trimmed it in better. They patched the wall and feathered into the existing drywall. They hauled away all the demolition and left the house pretty clean. They kept us updated on the work throughout the project. One of the workers made an alternative suggestion to our plans, which saved us a couple hundred dollars that they took off our final invoice. All-in-all, the work took less than two weeks.

Jim Hansen did the measurements and was very friendly and informative. He brought up some options that I hadn't thought of and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I will be hiring them to do the work and I will post how it turns out. The #1 reason I am going with Hansen is because they were the only contractors, out of three, that emailed me an estimate when they said they would. I still haven't heard from the other two. I guess my project wasn't big enough for them to care.

They promised me as soon as the weather gets better, they are going to call me and I would be on the top of their list. I have been very pleased with the people I have worked with so far. They seem to be people of integrity, honesty and that is what I look for. The people that came over and gave me the quote, went over everything I needed and everything that I wanted to have on that wall, that I needed repair on. There is a chimney and I thought well I am going to have this chimney taken down but they said no, we can do some repair and you would be able to keep that because if you ever sold your house, that would be a selling point, that is a positive, so you want to keep it. So I thought him telling me that was honesty. They knew their business. They quoted me $3000. They didn’t have to follow-up but they did. They seemed like they were expert in their fields and had even pointed out some things that I had not thought of. I am just praying that they will follow through on that.

Hansen Restoration came out to give me an estimate on doing my kitchen after we had some water damage. I had multiple contractors I had contacted to come out, but Hansen was the only one who showed. I received my estimate the very next day. Prior to signing the contract, they had told me they were very busy at that time, so it may take a few weeks before they could get me started. Within a week of signing the contract Hansen was on site and working. Cathy and Jim in there office called me almost everyday to follow up and make sure everything was running smooth. It was nice to hear from them so much even with them being so busy. The project was estimated to take a month and they finished up a few days early. Right in time for thanksgiving. The project manager did his best to stop out a few times a week to sit down and talk with us on the status of our kitchen. The staff was polite and a joy to work with. Im very pleased and plan on using them in the near future.
