Excellent work and wonderful experience!

I can’t praise this company enough! They transformed my family room from a dark dungeon to a light and airy room. They replaced old paneling with white bead board and whitewashed the fireplace, making the room look like new in an old house!

The roofers showed up at my home unannounced, and no date had been provided due to weather so therefore we were not able to contact our internet provider to remove the antenna and radio receiver prior to work being done. Although they completed the roof in 1 day and cleaned up the area, nothing was "put-back" around the house that was moved (covered patio furniture, landscaping lights, decorative rocks). Immediately we had no internet service and when the internet provider came out to "realign the antenna", as we felt the problem was, it was discovered by the internet provider the antenna and radio had been damaged beyond repair. the wires were ripped from the radio receiver and antenna and the antenna was actually TAPED with electrical tape where it had been broken. Picture were taken by the internet technician as well as video, as all trucks are equipped with video recorders. The video clearly shows the truck arriving and you can clearly see the tape on the antenna. We were then told that due to the significant damage, the radio and antenna would need to be replaced at our expense. We immediately called Hansen Restoration to notify them of the damage.At first Chris told us she would contact the roofers and had asked us to provide a quote as soon as possible. We were told it would be under $500. A few days later we received a call from Shaun accusing us, as the homeowners or the internet provider of purposely damaging the equipment "to up-sell us new equipment". This was an appalling accusation as we did not have internet issues until the day the roof was replaced. Our equipment was newer, as we have only been an internet customer for a 18 months prior to this incident. Our roof has a very steep grade, hence why we hired a company versus my husband and family replacing the roof. Why would we THEN go on the roof to damage equipment?!?!? I am grossly disappointed in how Hansen Restoration has handled this event and will never use them again, as blaming and lying is part of their business approach

I wrote a request for a quote. I received a call back and an appointment was set up for the owner Mr. Hanson to come out and look at the project. I received a call from Mr. Hanson the night before the appointment and he asked about the project. When he found that it was an unfinished garage he said they were to far away from me and they were to busy and he gave me the number for someone else. Moral of the story is unless you have a big expensive job don't bother these guys because they are way to loaded with work and they don't like to drive far from home.

The owner came to my house on time and was very professional. Was honest and in no way tried to steer me in the wrong direction simply to make money. Although I did not use their services.... when it comes time to do a larger project I am not capable of doing I will be calling them for another quote.

I am very satisfied with the work that Hansen Restoration has done in my house. The company has redone a bedroom, a bathroom and a living room for me. The work has been excellent. I have always been able to work with all the employees to achieve my end product. I will use their services again.

Each job was done separately but we weren’t in a hurry so it took about a month to complete everything. The wall extension is seamless after painting and the window changes were done so that I don’t have to paint the walls immediately and look like they were always there.

They were helpful and professional. They offered advice that others were not able to provide.

They were scheduled to come out first thing in the morning. My expectation was that it would be a job that would take at least 6 hours to complete and they would be there for most of the day. They arrived on time and to my amazement, they had the entire job completed and cleaned up in less than 2 hours. It was very impressive.

Well, I am not sure how to write this review??? First of all, I have never been called by a company and told they did not want my business! After a follow up call to Devin regarding restoration work that also was to include a siding and roofing of our house, he called me back and said he did not want my business. Said he was too busy this year, but did not even offer for Spring. He also referred me to another company. Their people were prompt, gave timely estimates, spent the time 3 times coming to our house and then exactly 37 days later said they did not want our business. Not very professional and poorly handled. We expected so much more from this company especially since they were recommended to us by a family friend. I even called back to ask that they explain what happened. Who does that?

I came home from work on 7/12 and noticed the issue. I used Angie's List for the first time and looked up a couple companies. I sent a message through Angie's List this evening and Sean called me back the same night. He came out on 7/13 to do the quote and then had someone doing the repair that evening. We were going on vacation in a couple days and needed the repair done before we left. I didn't go with Hansen based on pricing only. We had something in common in that we both live in homes built by the same builder. He also had existing shingles from previous repairs that matched what I needed. So it seemed like a good fit to use Hansen since they have done repairs on other homes from this same builder. Since we were going on vacation he worked with us on splitting up the cost of the service. That was helpful to us. So far the repair is holding up and you can't really see any differences in shingles.

They promptly returned my initial phone call & were out within a day to make the repairs. They were also a fraction of the cost of the two other roofing companies I called. Extremely pleased with their work, and would definitely hire again.

They were very professional. They were honest and punctual with appointments. They were always willing to be as convenient for me...such as coming to my house instead of me having to drop things off to them. They kept me updated on any changes that were needed. They overall were just a great company to work with! Would highly recommend them and have!

What a great experience we had the Hansen Family. I love that they can do anything when it comes to your home.

Went very well, and I'd call out the project manager Gary for his excellent professionalism throughout the process. From re engineering a new roof to the approvals to post job cleanup he did a great job keeping me up to date with the occasional text or phone call. While I probably could have done this job for a few grand less, Hansen's reputation was worth a small premium. I would use them again.

Jim Hansen arrived at our house within 48 hours of placing a call to request a quote, and we then got the quote a day or two later- very impressive! We were thrilled with the punctuality, and figured this was an indicator that the project would go quickly. Not so. Since we decided not to do everything Jim quoted us, we were assigned another project manager. From start to finish, it took 5 months to have two windows installed, a room painted, the attic port hole cut in, and a small section of molding on the outside of the house replaced. We were told that the reason our project was moving so slowly is that their restoration customers take priority since many of them have been forced out of their homes due to a fire or flooding. I completely understand, but if Hansen doesn’t have enough staff and/or subcontractors to handle both restoration AND remodeling work, then they should choose to only focus on one (restoration or remodeling).The quality of the work was good, but the poor communication with the project manager, and the painfully slow speed at which the work was done are the two reasons we won’t hire Hansen for our next project: tearing down the wall, vaulting the ceiling, painting, and installing new flooring throughout the first floor. Also, they had to re-route our furnace exhaust as part of the project, and when the windows were installed, the furnace exhaust wasn’t up to code. The exhaust was within a few inches of the new windows when it needs to be at least 3 feet (I think…regardless, the exhaust was way too close, and not up to code). I pointed out this code violation to them, and they wanted to charge me between $300-$400 to fix, and bring up to code. I refused to pay since this should have been accounted for in the initial quote. Eventually, they agreed to fix it which I was happy about.

The work was completed on time and the quality of the work far exceeded our expectations. The guy doing our work was knowledgeable in everything he did and was very professional. The place was left spotless when completed. I would Highly recommend Hansen Restoration to anyone.

We decided we would like a door leading to the backyard from an 'office' area in our home. Our house is 60 years old with aluminum siding, so we knew it would be a big project. Jim Hansen came out and gave us an estimate with costs clearly outlined. Everything from moving furniture out of the room, to cutting down bushes was included! We opted to perform some of the work ourselves and Mr. Hansen was very understanding about our budget. His son, Devin Hansen, was our project manager, and he was wonderful to work with. The workers who came out were extremely professional, friendly, polite, and neat. There was minimal disruption to our lives and the work was done in 2 days rather than one week! VERY happy with the service provided. This is a very professional company!

Pros: -Very high quality work. Job appears to be done right. -Work was completed in 2 days, did not drag on. Cons -Poor communication. Weeks after signing contract, crew showed up one day without notice (no call or email ahead of time) -Work was subcontracted, which was never discussed ahead of time -Subcontractors left old windows, trim and extra new vinyl at job site. Some material was taken away by Hansen employee at final payment, but not everything. -Final cost was 10% ($436) higher than initial estimate, despite not running into snags. Initial estimate did not properly account for cost of windows. Overall -Not a bad experience, but it could have been better. Will likely look elsewhere for future work.

Great communication and very professional! Contractor had great attention to detail and very good workmanship.

Jim advised us to go through our insurance and file a claim and thank goodness that we did because it turned into quite the expensive project because of all the circumstances around the location of the leak. Shane was great to work with and the finished product looks fantastic.

The whole project went well. I have a house build in the 1960s, and much of the bathroom was original. Matt, their contractor, was great. The bathroom had lots of old tile on the walls and floor that had to be replaced with new tile. The work took about three weeks to complete and costed about 50% less than my next closest estimate. Would recommend!

They were extremely friendly and worked fast. Took about 8-9 hours on a Saturday to complete the job. The floor looks great!
