Was on time. Completed the job in a timely manner. Cleaned everything up upon completion.

They were very good, reliable and cordial. The price was what we expected. They were certainly knowledgeable and they took everything right.

I discovered water on the floor of my basement all around the furnace. Some panic set in because this was one of the polar vortex days and I feared that the furnace might kick out. I called Gene's and they had two repairmen out in two hours. This is embarrassing but I was unaware that my furnace had a humidifier attached. As it turned out the filter to that humidifier hadn't been changed in the six years I've lived in the house. It was filled with mold. The repairmen changed the filter and all was well.

I initially signed up for a furnace tune-up and cleaning but knew it was not running properly. Gene's sent one tech out on two occassions to no avail. Then another was sent three different time until issue got resolved. He even worked with the manufacturer.

We were very satisfied with what they did with our furnace. I discovered them while walking my nephew, the guys that came to the house were polite, knowledgeable. My furnace is about 12 years old, the original company that came up quoted me really high and that's when I came to Gene's which was much lower and they were able to confirm the issue that the company that originally came out for a much lower price and quoted me for free. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs them. From the receptionist all the way down I was quite satisfied with them.

WE had a new furnace and air conditioner installed and earlier had a water |heater installed. We are happy with the results.

Gene's was called last minute when another provider cancelled on me last minute. They arrived at a very reasonable time span, inspected the system. The 1st floor thermostat was replaced and the technicians took the time to teach my tenants how to properly use the new thermostat. A new temperature pressure valve needs to be ordered, and when it comes in, they will replace and clean my boiler for the year. Technicians were very professional, cost was more reasonable than I expected for a last-minute service call, and they definitely are on my "call back" list for home repairs! And will be highly recommended to others

I've used Gene's twice - once to inspect air conditioning unit and most recently to inspect furnace that was making noise. They were able to come out quickly, and in the case of the furnace, within a couple hours. With the air conditioning unit, the issue was with the circuit breakers and not the unit itself. Since we were paying the fee to come out anyway, he did an inspection and lightly cleaned the unit. Overally, very happy.

The cost was going to be $300 to $400.00 and would take several days to fix. We were able to find another business that fixed it for much less and they fixed it that day! Genes was very nice and worked with us, we just could not afford their price!

They came to service our old furnace and it needed to be replaced so we got a heating and a/c unit. We got all three to save money because they were all about 20 years old. We saved money by bundling them and then they set us up with a payment plan. They also put in some new pipes that were compatible with the new unit. They cleaned up and took out the old pipes. They put in a new thermostat. Our experience was excellent. We first used them because we had an emergency and they came out right away. They cleaned up after themselves. They were on time, clean, and efficient. They explained how to use the new units that we had gotten.

Very responsible and prompt with same day service, but overpriced. Discount of $20 was applied for allowing them to put sign in yard for advertising with a chance to win $100, only after I initially refused. Straight forward competitive pricing would have been preferred.

Gene's installed the system originally and I have used them for the annual inspection and maintenance since. Gene's technicians are professional, friendly, informative without being patronizing, and on time. I highly recommend Gene's for all HVAC needs.

They did a really good job. I like their professionalism and their speed in solving in solving our problem. They are a little pricey, but I am not going to complain about that because they did such a good job.

I would continue to use them in the future.

Gene's came out several times -- but only one time each for each job needed. Patty, their "dispatcher", was friendly, understanding about so many repairs to encounter right upon moving in, and worked with me to make sure they came out promptly. The serviceman, plumbing and heating, were professional, knowledgeable and cleaned up after each project. I felt comfortable with them in my home and they didn't even mind our dog, who can be a bit of a pesky nuisance wanting to bother friends, family and servicepersons alike. Each project Gene's did was done right the first time. Then a day or two after each project, a lady from Gene's made a follow-up call to ensure everything went well and to address any issues that were unresolved. We had no unresolved issues and no complaints.

I've been able to count on this company for many years for their professional and reliable service. They are responsive, charge reasonable rates and is a business I recommend to others.

The first technician they sent had never seen a geothermal system before and looked clueless. I told them specifically what was wrong and what needed to be done, and they said they were experts. He tested what he could and determined nothing, they had to send a second tech with more equipment. They quoted us a price for the exchanger and the compressor. They claimed they could not test the compressor. Which I later found out is a lie. They could have tested it but chose not to. They installed the exchanger crooked so that air leaked from around the unit. They punctured holes in the drip pan so the condensation leaked out all over the floor in the basement. They ordered the wrong compressor. They actually called me and asked how big the doors were to the house to see if the compressor would fit and said it weighed over 80 lbs, I told them they ordered the wrong one and they said I was wrong, 2 days later when they tried to deliver it, guess what, wrong compressor. I discovered months later that their technicians messed with all the wiring inside the unit, including the temperature sensors and relay wiring to get it to work in AC mode. I tried the heat and guess what they wired it to only work as an AC unit. Had to call another HVAC company to repair their work. They lied about their expertise in dealing with geothermal systems. They lied about their warranty. I was told 1 Year warranty on sale, and told 3 months later Parts have a 30 day warranty and labor has no warranty. They did a half repair because they didn't want to or know how to finish the job. They sent at least 6 different technicians to our home on at least 10 appointments.

We have been a customer of Gene's for 10 years, and because we had such great service from them on our furnace, we employed them to install a tankless water heater. The original installation was smooth and on-time. The techs explained that it needed to be installed on an outside wall for proper ventilation, and they chose the far wall. It wasn't until after we began using the unit that we realized that having installed the tank on that wall causes us to waste several gallons of water as it travels and heats from the opposite end of the house. In September, a rep came out , reviewed the location with us, and agreed that it could have been installed on a closer wall (& still be properly vented). He did not know why they chose the farthest wall for installation. We asked him to quote the price to move it closer to the hub of our regular water use. It took 2 weeks to get an answer. We thought the price was double an appropriate charge, considering they made the choice of which wall to use for installation in the first place. I called to see if there was any way to reduce the price of the move; always intending to pay reasonable charge. I spoke to Dennis about our disappointment with the entire situation and the quoted price. He said he wanted to keep our business, told us to turn the temperature on the unit to 130 degrees (up from the standard 120) & he would get back to us after reviewing the situation with the rep who wrote up the quote. Over a month later and we have not heard anything back from Dennis or anyone at Gene's. I feel like I have been patted on the head and sent on my way; totally disrespected & dismissed. We are very disappointed and saddened by their lack of genuine concern for our business.

Outstanding! In attempting to replace a kitchen water faucet, the water lines to the sink were damaged causing a small flood in our basement and forcing us to shut off the main water supply in the house for several hours (just 2 days before Thanksgiving!!!) We contacted several plumbing repair agencies we located through Angie's list, but met with little or no success in getting them to respond. They either did not call us back or were unwilling to fit us into their schedule or did not want to travel outside a certain geographic area. When we contacted Gene's they were immediately very helpful, friendly and professional and were able to accomodate us and our emergency situation. They provided us with an estimated time within which a plumber would arrive (and Tom arrived within that time frame!) Tom was very knowledgeable, professional and worked very quickly and efficiently! In addition, the office staff followed up shortly after completion of the work to make sure that we were completely satisfied with the service we received which, of course, we absolutely are! We would, without hesitation, recommend Gene's Air Conditioning & Refrigeration!!!

The repair of the A/C was satisfactory. What I didn't appreciate was that I felt that I was being taken advantage of by an authorized Carrier dealer. When we called the office to schedule an appointment, we asked if our unit was under warranty. The receptionist advised that it likely was not; Carrier only supplies a 1 year warranty. We waited 2 hours past our scheduled appointment time for the technician. After the 1st hour we were told he was 'around the corner' and would arrive in 15 minutes. Another 30 minutes had passed and we called again only to get the same story. He arrived 2 hours late. When the technician finally arrived, he was told twice and even marked on our invoice that our A/C was less than 5 years old. After the repair was completed I called Carrier to inquire about the warranty (I should have done it prior but I was foolish and believed an authorized dealer). Carrier advised me that the unit WAS under warranty and the dealer should not have charged us for the parts. In addition, we felt that Gene's used a discount tactic to sell their annual maintenance program...if we purchased the program our parts would be discounted. After discovering the repairs were under warranty, we called Dennis to discuss the matter. He had no explanation why a Carrier dealer does not know their own product and wanted to retain us as a customer. We refused....their credibility has been ruined. We received a refund of all parts and the maintenance program and only paid for the service call and time to replace the parts. Dennis did the honest thing by refunding our money, but I do not trust Gene's to do any more work at our home.

Very quick and responsive service. Work performed professionally at a reasonable price.

I have used them before. It took a little longer than I expected, but Im happy with the job.

I was impressed that a live person was answering emergency calls on a weekend and with the genuine concern shown by the service staff when they knew I had no heat. Everything was completed very promptly. I have an older furnace which is no longer manufactured, so the part is harder to locate. There was no charge for this repair as I have purchased a service contract with Gene's for the last 5 or so years. For $105/year so far, I have gotten a fall inspection and cleaning.
