Window Makeover- Cincinnati

Description of Work: We needed a half circle window repaired/replaced because of seal failure and a little rot. The half circle window sits on top of 2 casement windows. Their proposal was to replace the half circle window and not replace the 2 casement windows because the casement windows looked good. Their proposal was less expensive (versus other quotes that required to replace all three windows) and that's why we initially decided to get their services. We made a 50% deposit (July 14) using our credit card and they came the next week to take measurements. When they came to make measurements, they inspected our windows and said we have to replace all three windows. They would send us a new quote before any work would be done. We emailed them on July 24 (a few days after measurements were made) to follow up on the new quote. They replied to us and informed us they were waiting for some information from their suppliers. We also made a phone call, requesting a refund of our deposit because the original job of replacing just the half circle window did not push through. We wanted to see their new quote first (and compare it to other quotes we've received from other companies that would replace all three windows) before we give them the new job. They agreed to refund us our deposit. I patiently followed up once a week (sometimes even longer) and they said they'll have our refund processed. We sent another email (July 31) to follow-up on the quote but didn't get a reply. We finally get a call first week of August(I think) informing us that they had difficulty processing the refund through their credit card machine and they'll just write us a check. We gave another week to wait for the check but it did not come so we emailed them again (August 13). In the email, we informed them that we decided get another company because waiting for the new quote just took too long and also reminded them of our refund. We got an email response (same day) thanking us for our patience and that they will send the check the right away. We finally got our refund check after a few days. We did not know what was going on from their end but we were disappointed because of the length of time it took to refund us our deposit and that the new quote never came. We would actually have given them the new job if the price was right. The reason we gave a "D" and not and an "F" was because they seemed sincere when they communicated with us.

Description of Work: Window Makeover replaced just the parts of our wood windows and sills that needed to be replaced. They were a pleasure to work with from sales through installation and follow up. Their product is as they say it is. It is a very nice economical way to repair rotted window sashes and sills. I highly recommend them.
