 + -1 moreThe experience was very good overall. The repairmen were prompt (in fact a little early), polite, and prepared. Most importantly, they were VERY competent. They cleaned up well after themselves and I felt confident they were doing a good job. And since my husband is a 'do-it-yourselfer', and HE approved of their work, they must have been doing the job right. They did have to go get additional parts during the repair. Overall we are confident the work was done in a high quality manner.
Description of Work: Repairs included: replacing several shutoff valves, replacing laundry faucet, installing flexible supply hoses, and re-plumbing a water heater that had been installed incorrectly by the water heater company The 2 repairmen were here for 4 hours total, but did have to leave for 45 minutes to get an additional part.

 + -1 moreIn addition to the disposal installation, he noticed a possible problem with a dishwasher hose and fixed that also. I don't normally rate people straight "A"but it is deserved in this case.
Description of Work: I had bought a garbage disposal with the intention of installing it myself but a shoulder injury made that difficult. Todd from Steve Jones Plumbing came and installed it without any problem.

 + -1 moreI had a leaky Kohler kitchen faucet that was only 5 years old. Chad and Jim showed up on time from Steve Jones Plumbing. Chad said that the Kohler faucet was a bad design and advised me that replacing it would be a better option than repairing. We all went to Lowes and Chad recommended a Delta faucet which I purchased and then they installed it. They only charged me for an hours time which was generous given the trip to Lowes. The experience exceed my expectations and I will call Steve Jones Plumbing again when I need Plumbing help.

 + -1 moreSteve's crew was very polite and courtious. They were very thorough and knowledgeable of my situation. After examining the shower, they were able to pinpoint the problem and resolve it. No more leaking shower.
Description of Work: The repairmen came and examined the shower, removed the drain cap, and caulked a number of areas where water could possibly leak from the shower stall down to the first floor ceiling. They also marked the area of the leak with pencil to determine if the leak got any larger if the shower was used again.

He gave some instruction about how to use the new facets in order to get the longest life out of them. He also had done some research to help me move forward a larger plumbing project that I am considering. And he was friendly with my terriers. Very good work.

Description of Work: We moved into a house and wanted to move the washer & dryer into the basement. Steve quoted us for installation in our the spot we originally wanted the w/d moved to which was $1800. He told us that if we did it in the unfinished part it would be $500. We went with his recommendation. He and 2 other guys were great. They did an excellent job. I would use him again!

 + -1 moreI am totally impressed. I would recomend Steve Jones Plumbing to anyone looking for quality and honesty in a plumber.
Description of Work: A plumber, Chad, with Steve Jones Plumbing came to our house to give an estimate of what it may cost to have a kitchen drain that was leaking into the basement repaired. Because the pipe went into a concrete wall he was not sure exactly how much it may cost because extensive demolition was required, he did say it may be between $500 and $1000 dollars to repair depending on what they found. Chad did say it may be to my advantage if I let him repair it on a time and materials basis. I agreed. Chad came 2 days later and was very prompt and professional. He excavated the wall and found the leak on the other side. The job wound up being much less than anticipated. Total bill was $255. The honesty, and quality of work was outstanding.

 + 0 moreTodd was very professional and explained everything that we needed. We installed a water conditioner instead of a water softener and clearly explained the advantages and disadvantages. Then we had the toilet reset and repaired in the powder room that was leaking. And lastly, we replaced a leaky kitchen faucet and repaired a leaking pipe in our basement. Todd was always in contact with us when an order was delayed and was willing to come in on the weekend to do the job. I can't ask for a better contractor! He cleaned up the work site and he was always very honest! I would not use another plumber!

 + 0 moreWe were converting an unused bedroom into a full bathroom. Steve and his crew had to run a new drain and waterlines. Other companies I received quotes from wanted me to pull down the ceiling in the kitchen on order for them to "more easiliy access" the new bathroom. Steve put his being comfortable aside and instead accessed the new plumbing by removing the floor in the new space. This also saved me the cost and time of replacing the lower ceiling. Steve's work was top notch and thus far we have had no issues with the new plumbing. I will actually be calling Steve in the next few weeks to move some plumbing around in an existing space. Looking forward to working with him again!
Description of Work: Steve roughed in a brand new bathroom for me at a cost that was a 1/3 of the other quotes I received. This included running brand new water liines and drains from the basement up to the second floor.

They were prompt and professional, and investigated carefully to diagnose the problem (initially I though it was leakage from the shower as the leak seemed to start just after I had showered). They explained fully what they were doing and why. They worked calmly and at a good pace for over 3 ours, then cleaned up their work perfectly. Everything works perfectly.
Description of Work: We had water leaking through the kitchen ceiling. They diagnosed the problem as a broken toilet gasket and cracks in the ABS drainpipe, and replaced both. We had also had some issues with a ground floor toilet- turned out to be the same problem and they repaired it as well. (This required a second visit). In both, they had to come up through the ceiling to reach the pipes. The holes were neat and no larger than needed. They suggested NOT repairing he ceiling for at least few days to make sure that there were no other leaks (there were none). It should be noted that the total charge was for 2 separate days of work, each over 3 hours, and included all parts and cleanup- VERY reasonable IMHO.
