We were remodeling a bathroom that did not have shutoff valves at the sink. This required us to shut off the main water supply to remove the sink. Doing so caused the main shutoff valve to develop a minor leak. I called Nixco to have them come replace the leaking main shutoff valve and to add new shutoff valves at the sink. They were able to work us in the same day and the plumber arrived right on time. He looked at the main shutoff valve and stated it just needed to be tightened. Tightening it, however, caused it to start leaking worse. He determined it would need to be replaced. He then shutoff the water supply to the house and began his work. I called a professional plumber because I believed the installation would require new fittings to be soldered on. I was disappointed that the plumber used speed fittings (Gator Bite, SharkBite style fittings). The plumber assured me that the speed fittings were just as good, but it didn't help ease my concerns when he had to try three different speed fittings in the bathroom to find one that didn't leak. He also forgot to turn off the shutoff valve at the sink before he turned on the water at the main shutoff, spraying water all over our bathroom. He was very apologetic and cleaned up the water but this is not a mistake I expect a professional plumber to make. Overall the work was completed satisfactorily in a reasonable amount of time. The plumber wore shoe covers and did a good job cleaning up after himself. I have not had any issues with the speed fittings so far, but I can't say that I feel like I got $300 worth of service from them.

Service was great - got an appt exactly when I wanted. Technician was exactly on time and very friendly and professional (and loved my dog). Everything was done quickly and very professionally - very pleasant experience overall.

We have had favorable experiences with them in the past. I spent $ 200 and $300. We had them out for a sump pump failure and they were pretty prompt and do have an emergency which is nice. They are usually on time and the quality of the work is made sure is pretty well done. They are a pretty good company and if the occasion arises, they would probably be our go to plumber.

It went okay and they told us what we needed to do in the future. They said we needed to get somebody to lay down a new pipe since our pipes are all old.

They are somewhat more expensive than other plumbing companies. Their location is close to me.

They were very good and very professional. They were punctual and were able to get us in right away, even though they were booked that day because we were without hot water.

The work was fine. However their price was a little higher then I had hoped, because they charge by the book & not by the hour. Because of this reason, I probably wouldn't use them again. Everything other then that was fine. The parts they used and their workers were pleasant, I just feel I could do better with the price next time.

They were prompt. Everything about them was great except they were a little expensive. I originally called them out because I thought I just had a leaky toilet, so I was a little surprised at the price. However they do great work and included a warranty with it.

First of all, he came in late. We had to go for work in the morning, so we let him in and asked him to complete the work and let himself out. When we came home that evening, we found that he had used our guest bathroom and left it clogged up and overflowing, which took us several hrs to clean up. We did not have a problem with him using the bathroom, but one would think that a plumber would have been "professional" enough to fix it. We have used their service before, but have not had such a problem. We also thought that they were overpriced for the work that they did, the work itself was nothing exceptional!

I've had them come out multiple times. Every time they have come out, they've done a great job. I have had multiple plumbers from that company, and they all know what they are doing. When they dug up my yard, to install the drain and pipe, they patched up my yard to make it look like it never happened. They even watered my lawn. They treat you like family and they do such a good job. I've been using them for 13 years now and won't use anyone else.

He really seemed to know what he was talking about. I haven't had any leaks since.

Technician was on time. Spent 10 minutes at house; unclogged toilet in 5 minutes using a hand-powered snake device. I've used this company for years and was always happy in the past. I didn't need their services for the last year or so. However, the cost for this very brief service was unreasonable. I will look for another plumber whose price reflects the work effort expended.

He told me in a cold flat tone that they gave me a price and that's the price. I would have called someone else if I knew I would have to pay that much for that little amount of work. I called five minutes after he left and Guy listened and said he would talk to Jeff, the owner, and get back with me. He never called so I called again and again. When I finally got Guy on the phone, he yelled at me and was even ruder than his employee. I asked to speak with Jeff, and he said, "I will discuss it with Jeff." When I finally got a hold of him he told me we have nothing to talk about and they were within their rights. I am wrong and they are right. It didn't matter how long it takes, it's a flat rate. Jeff told me I was not the Nixco Company type of customer. They were rude and lied throughout. It didn't matter that his employee lied to me. Then, while laughing at me, he told me to smile and have a nice day.

Russ showed up on time, gave me an estimate and completed the installation of the water filter. The kitchen faucet was installed a few days later, after I purchased one myself. He wore shoe covers and cleaned up after the work was done.

They cost is by the job. It can very expense if you have several little things.

They were great and they were here the next day. We were pleased.

I refused the service. Another Angie's List "A" company with whom I had contracted with before bid & completed the work for $207.

Very professional, responded in a timely fashion and the work was good.

I would highly recommend. From the first call to the shop, I was impressed. This was the 3rd plumbing company I called and the others just made me feel very uneasy about giving them the job or even letting them give me an estimate. I called at 2 pm on Tuesday and by noon the next day the work was finished.

I 1st called them over the weekend, got an answering service, and Nixco did not call back within a week. I called during the week and made an appointment and got one on the day of my choice, with a 2-hour window. I was not home when the work was performed. My wife did not have any complaints or issues with the serviceperson. The standard rate charge per the bill was 156.25, but the serviceperson charged $125. Even with the reduced charge, $125 seems expensive for what was done. They did not leave a broken part for me to inspect.

Overall, good job, but definitely on the pricey side so I would be sure to do some comparison shopping (I was getting ready to fly out of town when I found the water heater leaking, and did not want to take the chance that it would last the week while I was gone. So, I grabbed the first highly rated Angie's List plumber that had the tank and could get out to see me). The quality of the work seems to be good. They were late by an hour or so because they had to go pick up the hot water tank. The plumber who did the job was cordial, answered questions, and cleaned up after himself. No problems with the job at all, other than I wished I had a little more time to shop on price.

They came to my house in a very timely manner as it was a urget matter. They wore shoe protectors when entering the house, and the plumber was very courteous.

Everything was done as requested. When Jay came to do the estimate he said it would be four-hour job. The day he was scheduled to do the work he called to say he would be an hour late due to an emergency. He arrived just about an hour late, as predicted, but all the work was accomplished in about 2.5 hours, so the delay didn't eat up more time in my day. Everything was done to my satisfaction, he cleaned up after himself completely. I would not hesitate to call Nixco Plumbing again. The only minor downside was I thought the price as a bit expensive, but I asked around and was told plumbing IS expensive and it seemed within reason.

Mike & Jay did excellent work, were very quick, & cleaned up after themselves.

I'm very pleased with the service! He showed up on time, was very courteous, did some troubleshooting, & found the clog in the drain that was in the basement- & FIXED it!
