Description of Work: I was disappointed in how this deal was handled. I didn't think I would have to wait 3 months to have the work done.when I had questions, the owner would never answer his phone calls.

Description of Work: I got the "big deal" 4 man hours for $99. There was confusion when they came out the first time and I couldn't be home when they came. So the removed some small trees that were not what I needed removed! They rescheduled to come back with proper equipment for the job. I also couldn't be home for this visit. They were only able to complete about 1/2 of what I had needed done. I probably got my $99 worth but if I'd paid regular price I'd be really upset.

Description of Work: I received a complete landscape design and consultation. My experience was very nice with a complete professional, who showed meticulous attention to detail and came up with an imaginative and creative solution for my property.

Description of Work: We requested a landscape plan for our front yard. They provided an excellent plan that met our goal of a large variety of interesting plants. They provided the plan and pictures with descriptions of the proposed plants.

Description of Work: Complete front yard landscaping. The design was terrific, and the work included removal of all the original plants, replacing the brick walkway, installing a new rock wall, and new plantings. The crew was always on time, very professionally done.

Description of Work: I have used this company on several occasions, both at my home in Worthington and at my condo in Powell. Recently I hired them to replace some plants that didn't make it through the winter, and to do my spring clean-up on my patio. They designed and installed the patio in 2009 and it is beautiful. They also follow-up nicely on anything that is wrong. They are not the least expensive company out there, but they are worth the price. I did have to wait awhile to get them here this spring, but because of the severe winter we experienced, everyone was running behind.

Description of Work: |WE had them completely redo our landscaping. they drew up plans based on what we wanted, consulted with us, offered suggestions. We had a small patio and lighting installed also. their work was great! totally pleased with the outcome.

Description of Work: Terra Landscaping does my Spring Cleanup as well as monthly maintenance. I have used them over two years and have always been very satisfied with their services. I first used them to do monthly maintenance because I couldn't keep up with the weeds in the landscape. Sarah came out on a regular schedule and was able to get the weeds under control. | |Last year I used them to remove a Ash Tree from the front lawn. I was not home when they came out and was pleasantly surprised to see how well they cleaned up after removing the tree. This year you would never know a tree had been in the yard.

Description of Work: We decided to use the special that Landscapes by Terra, INC offered through Angie's List for the landscape design and quote. We decide to use them to expand an existing landscape bed, replace a tree, and then to create a new landscape bed to create more privacy for our yard. We met with the sales rep and told him what our goals were for the project and he recommended plants to use in the landscape beds and a tree that would provide us with the privacy in our yard that we were looking for. The workers arrived on time and the quality of their work was good. The only issue was that the new landscape bed that they created for us, they did not build it as high as it was suppose to be. My husband had to call the sales rep and let him know that the bed was not tall enough like we had requested and asked him to instruct his workers to make it higher. It took some time but evidentially this was resolved that day and the bed was built to the height that we wanted. We were then charged extra for the mulch and the work required to raise the bed even though we had been quoted a price for this before they started the work. We were told by Landscaping by Terra that all trees and plants came with a 1 year warranty. In the Spring of 2013, the new tree did not bloom very well. It hardly produced any leaves or blooms on it and appeared like it was dying. My husband called the sale rep and left him a message and it took him about two weeks to even get back to my husband. When he finally called back, the sales rep told him that the tree was probably just taking some time to grow and for right now to just keep watching it. As Spring turned into Summer, the tree did not get any better and in fact looked worse. My husband contacted the sales rep several times, always having to wait a good 5-7 days before the sales rep would get back to him only to have him tell us the same answer. In fact there were multiple times that we had to actually call the sales rep back because he usually never returned our phone calls. When we talked with him, his only answer would be "The tree was taking time to really take hold and grow and lets just keep watching it and if it do not get any better, they would replace it in the Spring of 2014. My husband then inquired if the tree would still be covered under the warranty since it would be past a year. The sales rep told us that it would be since we had called him about it and he knew it was having issues. They had planted ornamental grasses in the landscape bed with the new tree. Over the course of the summer, the grasses died. In mid to late August, my husband once again called the sales rep to tell him about the grasses and yet again tell him about the condition of the tree. The sales rep then said that he would send a crew out to our house within the next 3 weeks to replace the grasses with a different type of grass that would do better and that he felt at this time they should do a deep root fertilization on the tree to see if that helped it take hold and grow better. 3 weeks came and went and the crew never showed up. We called the rep usually getting his voice mail. When we would finally have the chance to talk to him, he always told us we were on the schedule and the crew would be here within 3 weeks. We were now started to get the feeling like they were trying to put us off and did not want to come out and take care of the plants and trees. I finally called and spoke to one of the managers and explained to her what was going on. She tried to tell me that we were on the schedule and it would be within 3 weeks that they would take care of things. I explained to her that it had been about 5-6 weeks already since the rep first told us that he would send a crew out. I told her I felt like we were getting the run around and the sales rep was putting us off. The next day the crew arrived to replace the grasses and do the deep root fertilization on the tree. This Spring the tree looks 100% better than it did all last year. Our problem now has been the new grasses that the sales rep recommended and planted in the fall died. So my husband sent him an email to inform him about the grasses and we received no response from him. 1 week after the email was sent, I called him. Finally got to speak to him and told him about the grasses and asked what he was going to do about them. His first response was to say well I know its not that you are not taking care of them because the other stuff we planted for you are doing great. Then he tried to tell me that it was a very bad winter and that the grasses would take some time to come back and that he did not believe they were dead. I then told him they were dead because one of them come completely out of the ground root and all. His only response at that time was to ask if we would be willing to split the cost of replacing the grasses since they had already replaced them once and they could not get into the habit of constantly replacing plants. I told him I understood that but they were the ones that recommended this type of grass and replaced it once because it did not grow properly and now I don't feel like I should be responsible for any of the cost and they should still be under a warranty and therefore should be replaced. He disagreed with me and said that he is only asking that I pay for half and that he would recommend yet another type of grass to put there. I told him that I needed to discuss things with my husband and asked him to email us with the type of grass that he would recommend and what the cost would be. He told me that he would. This phone call took place over a week ago and we still have not received an email from him. The customer service is really poor! After all the troubles that we have had with Landscaping by Terra, I would never recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: Terra is currently my lawncare company and I am very satisfied with their service and price. They also have done all my landscaping projects for the past 20 years and I have been very happy.

Description of Work: Snow Removal. The work was performed by 2 guys in 2 separate intervals. The first guy used plough to clean the driveway and a shovel to clean the walkway connecting the driveway to the front of the house. He did not clean the sidewalk stating that he was too tired. I can understand with the amount of snow that had fallen and he was out there long hours cleaning. I paid him the full agreed price. I called the the provider again and they sent another guy to clean the sidewalk. Overall, I was happy with the work done and provider's quick response.

Description of Work: Landscaping, some pavers, rocks and water feature. Water feature had problems and after many times of calls to repair and wAiting weeks at a time , we asked to have a refund. They would not comply with our wishes.

Description of Work: We signed up for an Angie's Deal offered by this company. Within a few days they contacted us to explain that we were out of our service area and advised that they were arranging with Angie's List to provide us with a full refund.

Description of Work: I had them kill off the grass in the back yard. They were supposed to grade the back yard and re-seed.
