Description of Work: changed all of the filters, oil, steamed cleaned lawn mower, and leveled the riding mower deck

Description of Work: I had always gone to Sears to get my lawnmower serviced; however, when they told me i needed my engine replaced for $490 and I only took it in to get the self propelled fixed, I decided i would never go back there. After several weeks i got my mower back, mowed my lawn and took to J&M for service. (to get the self propelled and blades sharpened and a couple other minor things) | |I walked in to the small shop which looked like there was a paper explosion that day, but has no effect to me as long as they do good work. | | They initially told me 5 to 7 days which I was very grateful for since Sears had it for about 3 weeks. Unfortunately it took a lot longer than 5 to 7 days due to wrong part being shipped. I called a few times to check status and received call backs twice, but on one occasion they did not call back. Messages get misplaced sometimes, not a big deal. | |Overall, my impression is that these guys are very honest and will do what they can to keep your cost down. I felt that they did quality work. |One suggestion would be to bring your owners manual for part numbers-they initially got the wrong part because it was hard to read the model number on the lawnmower.

Description of Work: J&M picked up the riding tractor from our home, repaired the oil leak and returned it to us for $60.00. We purchased the tractor last year from Lowes, and had it delivered. After a week, we noticed it had an oil leak, Lowes would not pick up the tractor to service it, they would take care of it if we brought it back to them. It was a much more pleasant experience dealing with J&M, who did not sell us the tractor.

Description of Work: Diagnosed and repaired a frozen bearing. Transported the riding mower both ways. They were very pleasant.

Description of Work: They repaired our lawn mower and sharpened the blade. They did a great job at a great price. The only problem was that they never contacted us. They had it a week and we didn't hear from them. I called them and they called back with an estimate. I told them to fix. They said it would take 3 -5 days. 7 days later i still hadn't heard from them and called again - it was done.

Description of Work: We received a quote for repair, but with the caveat that our unit was 7 years old. Ultimately we decided not to have the unit repaired and J&M kept the unit for spare parts and did not charge us any fee for diagnosing the problem. They also spent quite a bit of time educating us as we went to purchase a new unit.

Description of Work: J & M Lower Repair Service is great. They transported my riding mower to their shop for evaluation and didn't charge me for this service. They followed-up the next day with the options to repair my mower and offered to assist me with making a final decision. I am deligthed that I have J & M Mower Repair to rely upon to service my lawn machines and not worry about being taken advantage of. The entire J & M Mower Service is very kind and professional.
