AAD Security Locksmith

We called and Joyce and she came to our home within 3 days. She was very professional and friendly. We would defintely recommend her and call again if needed.

This was the third time we used AAD Security;y Locksmith & Safe. The first time Joyce came out she fixed the back door lock temporarily until I could get a new dead bolt and door handle. She had the equipment with her she needed to complete the job and made new keys for me. I called Joyce again to come measure for the new door handle which she did along with giving me some important information to ask when purchasing the new hardware. She returned a third time to install the locks and hardware. I appreciated her attention to detail in asking the right questions so that I ordered the correct hardware.

Joyce was great! She was able to unlock my house after I had locked myself out of it with no problems. I will definitely use her again!

Great-- Joyce called back shortly after I left a message to say she wasn't available until later in the day--so if it was urgent she couldn't do it. She checked in after her previous job was done and then came directly to the office--had the door open in no time and then proceeded to take out the old lock and replace it with a new one. Very nice and professional-- job was done in less than an hour.

They did good work. We've hired her 3 or 4 times and we were pleased with her work. The price was a little high for our taste but we keep calling them.

I've used Joyce at AAD several times and am still just as satisfied as I've been in the past. She always makes really good suggestions regarding our home's security -- I appreciate her advice. And her prices are quite reasonable given the amount of time and diligence she devotes to the job.

excellent - took longer than i expected however Joyce is trustworthy and i was able to get out to run my errands while she worked on our locks. I have used her in the past as well - always reliable, trustworthy and reasonable.

The owner came and I was under the impression she was going to work until she got it done and got it done correctly. Well, she did do the job perfectly and got it done and it works wonderful. She was nice and friendly. She was easy to talk to and answered all of my questions.

I have a 100 year old chest here, a family heirloom, that had no key. My aunt and uncle were here one summer and we were examining it. With my aunt's help, we turned it over on its side. Unfortunately, as we did that, my aunt folded up the lock, thinking it would break otherwise. It did not break. But it did lock. Joyce came, and made a key for it. It wasn't easy because this lock is so old. Then she provided me several more duplicates. I don't know what I paid, but it was well under $100.

Unfortunately, my experience was not a good one three major issues: 1) The locksmith forgot to come on the day we initially scheduled and I gave her the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. 2) The deadbolt was installed improperly and in a manner that she was unable to fix it. 3) One of the knobs that were changed was not installed properly. I had to ask the locksmith to try to fix #2 and #3. She remedied #3 but #2 was repaired only to the extent that it was aesthetically better The fortitude of the deadbolt could not be improved. The locksmith was very cooperative when I told her I wasn't comfortable with the job and asked her to try to fix things but that fact that I had to ask is the issue I had. Additionally, it took five hours to complete the job which, in my experience, should have taken much less time. She was very friendly and personable but those characteristics are not the most important ones to me- her ability to do the job well was the quality that was lacking.

Joyce worked on our front door for about 4 hours to get it open, remove the existing lock, install a brass plate to anchor the lock to the door, replace the dead bolt, clean and restore the lock set. I am pleased with the result and the quality of her work. I would highly recommend AAD Security.

My house was built in 1951, so the lock is outdated. It was in pretty bad shape, but she was still able to get it working again. She is very good at working with older locks.

Joyce really cares about our safety and offers great ideas on how to improve our safety. They are very reasonably priced and always do a great job.

We found her on Angie's List. She is very prompt and knows what she is doing. Her prices are very reasonable. She is easy to talk to and I have recommended her services to many people.

They are special locks for added security. She does a very good job. I can't comment on pricing because I have never used anyone else.

Joyce returned our initial call quickly. Was willing to come on a weekend, if it was an emergency. It was not, so we made arrangements for a late afternoon appointment on Monday. She arrived a few minutes before the appointed time and completed with work in about an hour. Joyce also made sure that she cleaned up after the work was completed. Both handles/locks work much better now.

She was great. Work was performed on time and as quoted.

I've used her in the past and will use her again. She is very thorough and does a good job. She fixed a lock that another locksmith said couldn't be fixed.

She not only added the deadbolt and re-keyed the existing lock but provided security keys so that they cannot be easily duplicated for my son's condo.

Good overall - Joyce was VERY helpful on the phone in advance with advice on what I needed to purchase and what to look out for (before she even knew if I was going to hire her). Arrived as scheduled. Very personable. Everything went well with a couple exceptions...we purchased a handle set for the front door that was a "guaranteed fit", but it didn't fit into the existing holes and Joyce installed it anyway. I would have preferred that once she realized it wasn't going to fit she had checked with me to confirm that it was OK to drill additional holes in the door. Now we have additional repairs to do. Couple of the door plates aren't installed very well (crooked, screws not straight or flush)...relatively minor issue and I should have done a better job checking the work before she left. All doors operate perfectly.
