Fred's Appliance Service

Showed -up on the above date as scheduled to check-out my washer. Technician Jeff is knowledgeable, professional, & had no difficulty isolating on the problem. He will return on the 18th with the part required to fix my washer. It was a pleasure interacing with Jeff & comforting when I realized he knew exactly what he was doing.

Scheduling was a breeze. They had to come twice, both times they called in advance several times to set up and confirm our appointments and times. They came when they said they would and fixed the washer quickly with the replacement parts we received at our home. Very professional and efficient, which is all we needed!

I scheduled a service call for Wednesday morning between eight and noon, but never received a call that the appointment had been moved to that afternoon. The service repair technician, Jeff, identified the cause of our dishwasher issue immediately -- a defective door latch -- and repaired it within five minutes. He thoroughly tested the appliance's functionality for ten minutes to verify that all of the issues had been resolved. I was impressed with the technician dispatched and service provided. Thank you!

Honestly, this company could set the standard for service calls. The front desk was courteous and helpful, quickly obtaining the needed information and setting me up with an appointment. I also received an email with the time frame as well as a photo of the technician who would be showing up. I also received additional phone calls to narrow down the arrival time. The technician was polite, knowledgeable, and on-time. He answered all my questions, and even showed me how I could make thermostat adjustments myself, if I should desire to do so in the future. The company follows up with its own internal survey to monitor their level of service. I found out about this company because they were doing warranty work through Lowe's. I will be keeping their contact information, and would not hesitate to call them for any future appliance needs.

It took him about 20 minutes to fix the machine. He replaced a part. Eric was very professional and the repair was fast. He was just what we needed. It was a good experience.

The repair went well. The price itself was too high. The final price was too high because of the labor involved. He claimed that he had to sand something down. The part that I needed was $69.65. The labor itself was $130. The service call on top of the labor $79.95. The total came out almost $300 for a $69.65 part. He said that he had a hard time removing the pump. He had to sand the motor shaft so that the pump would have go in correctly.

The repairman showed up on time and was very kind and very knowledgable. Brian was very professional and very pleasant. He fixed the appliance and we are very happy with his service. He left the area clean after taking parts of the dryer in order to get inside and replace a part. We are very satisfied!!

Everything was great. Although I initially received a 3-hour window for scheduling the service call, the office called me when the technician was on his way, so I knew when he'd arrive. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem, explained it to me in terms I could understand, provided me with a few options, and made his recommendation. He was knowledgeable, friendly, polite, and professional. I would definitely call them for future service.

service was timely, tech. was courteous and the part needed for ice maker repair, arrived next day. I like the fact parts and labor have a set time period they are quarantined.

I had discussions with a manager for Lowe's service team who indicated that Fred's had put in their records that the reason for not sending out someone to do the service was "She is a difficult client" I find the way they do business as extremely unprofessional and I suspect that they do such a volume of business that they can treat customers any type of way they wish and still have a huge volume of business!!! My past experience with Fred's appliance is as follows: Several years ago, I had a microwave oven that repeatedly malfunctioned and was under warranty. Fred's appliance was the service provider and one of their technicians chipped an expensive ceramic tile wall plate when taking the microvave down. I sent a photo of the damage and an estimated coat for replacing the tile and installation. Fred's owner reimbursed me for the damage. Following that incident, they refused to do any service calls at my home despite them being scheduled for any appliances and have a secretary call at the last minute before the service call to cancel the call & tell me to locate another company to do the work. I consider the way this has been handled as totally unprofessional.

I was able to schedule a service call within 3 days. I received a call the day before confirming schedule and was notified when Tim was on his way. He arrived on time, asked a few question, knew what the problem was, had a replacement ice maker on his truck, and installed it within 15 minutes. He answered my questions and left contact information should I have any trouble after the repair. He was professional, knowledgable, friendly and very efficient.

He was very knowledgeable, nice and neat. He was very good to work with. His name was Shawn and he was very friendly. He explained things fully and even looked at something else for me having to do with my washing machine and was able to answer my questions despite not being there to service the washing machine. He left everything as neat as a pin and wore shoe covers and kept his area clean; he was very careful, knowledgeable and exacting in his work.

The supplier sent out Paul H. to evaluate the problem with our new Washing Machine on 05/05/2015. Paul concurred with me that the water pump was not working properly. He then and there ordered a new water pump online and had it drop shipped to our home to save time. I advised them that we received the new pump late 05/06/2015 and Paul returned on 05/07/2015 to replace the old water pump with the new one. He did so and answered all my questions, test ran the new pump, cleaned up the area, and bid me a good day ( Efficient and Courteous ). Thank you Paul.

Very good. Had part with him and fixed in first visit. Repair was through extended warranty so we only had to pay $25 deductible so I left price as N/A.

Found the problem and gave estimate for part and labor.

Service was professional and thorough. appointments were confirmed and actually on time. Dishwasher needed an new latch. I was disappointed that it was not in stock, however the part was ordered and arrived at my home the next day. I called Fred's and they scheduled an appt. for the next business day. All went well. Technician, Tim was great. I will definitely call them for service next time I need it.

Their service repairman called when he was about 15 mins. out and told me he was on his way, Got right to the job and made the necessary repairs. This was done under the warranty, so I did not pay for it, but would definitely use Fred's again.

Company contacted us via telephone and email to confirm our appointment.The tech, arrived on time, was very courteous, and explained what caused our problem, and made the necessary repairs. He was very familiar with our problem, and had the correct part to repair our refrigerator. He entered our home, and placed a liner over his shoes sho he would not dirty our floor. He also asked for a towel to make sure no water leaked onto our hardwood floors. The unit is now working great. We were very pleased with the work, and would use the company again in the future. I can not comment on the cost of the repair, since it was covered under an extended warranty.

We have used Fred's Appliance Service in the past and were thrilled that Kitchen Aid referred us to them for service. The appointment went very well, the service man was fast and thorough. He explained what had happened to the door strip and made a suggestion to keep it from happening in the future. Personable but not too chatty, very professional and neat. We will use Fred's in the future should the need arise.

I have a brand new dryer that did not work upon delivery. Maytag service number sent Fred's Appliance. I called on Friday, and was scheduled for Tuesday. There was an automated reminder and phone confirmation for Tuesday between noon and 5. Early that morning I got a call narrowing the time frame to 12-3. Tim, the technician, called a little before 11 to say he was running early, and could he come in about 10 minutes. He arrived about 15 minutes later. He listened to the problem, and then set to work. He had a computer tablet to assist. I watched as he tested each step, and methodically worked through the problem. It ended up being quite a long time ( couple hours) and by the end he had pretty much disassembled and reassembled the whole thing. He explained what he thought had happened, gave tips for whether other things should go wrong, and gave instructions for what to do if I had additional problems. It worked great as he headed out. Receipts and signing for service were all electronic on the computer pad. He left contact info for Fred's Appliance and instructions on how to do a review, as well as a card documenting the service. Because it was a brand new dryer, there was no cost to me. Tim was exceptionally professional, respectful, careful with the machine, and worked straight through. He didn't complain or express frustration when he encountered challenges, just kept working until it was right.

Technician (PH) was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and the repair was done much sooner than I had expected! The results look great!

The experience with Fred's Appliance has been very frustrating. My microwave stopped heating, I called whirlpool and they warrantied the part (not the labor) and referred me to Fred's Appliance. Fred's Appliance came out and fixed the problem for $172.00. Five months later my microwave stopped heating again. They said there's no warranty. Came out and another $172.00 and fixed the problem. Again, five months later had the same problem, asked to talk to the manager, but he never called me back. He had the secretary call me back and offered me half off on the labor cost, and I said okay. The technician came over and disconnected my microwave and plugged it back in and said its all fixed. He said sometimes you have to reboot the microwaves to reset the computers. That cost me $54.00. The next day it didn't work. I called the company back and asked to speak to the owner. I never received a call back. I've been in contact with Whirlpool, but it doesn't seem like they're going to help.
