Description of Work: Okay...these replacement windows are not cheap....but we have had two put in so far and are waiting for the third one. They came out beautiful, they did a good job of cleaning up, they worked with us on style (how they would look both in the inside and from the outside of the house); so, all in all, I am happy with them so far.

Description of Work: They replaced three of my large windows with a Bay Window that completely transformed my family room! John Fitzpatrick was great to work with and came up with the idea of the Bay and we could not be more pleased. Have used them to replace some doors in the past as well and everything was done professionally and timely. Will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Stanek Windows came last August and told us the dampness on the floor below the window was due to the window leaking and we needed a new window. In October Stanek installed a new window. As spring approached we noticed the floor was still getting damp when it rained. We called 2 siding companies to look at the siding. Both said it was the window leaking. One said the flashing had not been replaced. Stanek came out in May and said it was not the window leaking and that the flashing had been replaced. He caulked the top of the window. The floor is still damp when it rains.

Description of Work: They replaced windows on a 3-season porch. The salesman did a good job of finding the type of window I wanted (storms with screens), but could have been more helpful in picking the style. In retrospect, the sliders (2 windows) were a much better choice than the double-hung (2 windows) which are really too wide to operate easily. Also, the screens are inside of the double-hung windows which make them difficult to open. |The windows were installed on a day when there had been a significant snow the night before. I did not want them installed in those circumstances, but they were unwilling to change the date (it was November - I hardly needed to use porch windows at that point). The workers arrived ahead of schedule and before I could get the driveway cleared of snow so that was a real mess. The installers had more difficulty than they expected based on the measurements taken and the information provided to them. They did not clean up well after the installation. A few weeks later, one of the windows "spontaneously broke" resulting in shattered glass all over the porch and a gaping hole in the window with rain expected. They were not able to send someone out for a couple of days, but eventually someone did come and board up the window until a replacement could be ordered, and this was done at no cost. They did clean up most of the glass that was inside, but once the snow melted, it revealed a lot of glass outside which is still with me.

Description of Work: Installed replacement windows. There was a problem with excessive noise in the bay area if my master bedroom when it rained - a loud pinging noise. Eventually the situation was corrected after I had called and talked to the salesman I dealt with.

+ 0 moreThis company did a great job. Since I live in Portage county they had to dig and pour a concrete block foundation. They tried to reason with the county but this cost me an extra $1800 for the construction. All of the digging and wood and siding work happened during the very cold and snowy conditions at the start of this winter. Everything happened in a very timely fashion. The workers did everything they could to keep the work site clean and organized. The doors,windows and custom peak glass was all installed even earlier than I expected. I have only one very minor complaint considering the weather conditions. I found several screws and metal slivers that were dropped during their daily cleanups. I am very happy with my new sunroom and would recommend this company highly. I also invited all of the workers to return this summer when I landscape and furnish our new addition.
Description of Work: Patio Enclosures built a 10x14 foot sunroom on the side of my house.

THEIR POST CARD SET A POSITIVE TONE AND MADE ME FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE IN THEIR EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. Description of Work: ADDED A ROOF AND COMPLETE GLASS ENCLOSURE TO AN EXISTING DECK. THE ROOF CONTAINS SKYLIGHTS AND IS FULLY INSULATED TO PROVIDE A 4 SEASONS ROOM WITH THE ADDITION OF A HEATER. ALL PANELS ARE SLIDING GLASS WITH A SCREEN BACKUP SO IT MAY BE OPENED IN THE SUMMER.

THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE ACTUALLY PAID ATTENTION TO THE FEATURES WE WANTED IN THE NEW ROOM, AND PROVIDED A REALISTIC, APPROPRIATE, AND DETAILED PROPOSAL. WE DID NOT HIRE PATIO ENCLOSURES FOR THE JOB ONLY BECAUSE WE DECIDED TO HAVE A CUSTOM BUILT ROOM CONSTRUCTED RATHER THAN A ''PRE-FAB'' ENCLOSURE.

+ -1 moreTHE SERVICE WAS VERY BAD. NO CALL BACKS, LATE TO THE APPOINTMENT, SALES PERSON WOULD HAVE DIFFERENT ANSWERS TO THE SAME QUESTION ON DIFFERENT DAYS, OR NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AT ALL. HAVING PURCHASED MORE THAN ONE ITEM, ONLY THE ELECTRIC INSERT FOR THE FIREPLACE REMAINED TO BE FINISHED. THE FRAMING AROUND THE INSERT AND THE FIREPLACE WAS IMPROPERLY MEASURED LEAVING A 1 1/2 INCH GAP BETWEEN THE INSERT AND THE FIREPLACE. THE INSTALLER TOLD ME HE WOULD COME IN A WEEK AND FIX IT, WELL FIVE MONTHS LATER THEY FINALLY CALLED ME BACK TO SEE WHY I HAD NOT PAID THE REMAINING BILL AT WHICH TIME I TOLD THEM I WAS WAITING FOR THE JOB TO BE COMPLETED. I NEGOTIATED A LESSER REMAINING BALANCE AND TOLD THEM NOT TO COME TO MY HOME FOR ANYTHING. IT WAS A VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE. I WOULD NEVER WALK INTO A PATIO ENCLOSURE STORE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
