One of the worst experiences I've had. The first salesman was polite and answered my questions. I actually signed a contract but decided to cancel within the allowed time. After cancelling, I received a call that the salesman would have to come back out. Then there were 2 salemens (the original one and a supervisor). The sales tactics were horrific. I was told that the wall could not be repaired as originally told but would have to be torn down and rebuilt. Now we have totally different scope of work. I agreed to go with the rebuild but after a day of making other contacts and asking questions of a lot of people I decided to cancel. I wanted to talk to the city inspector to get his perspective. I received another call saying the salesmen would have to come out again. When they got there, I asked why they had to come out again since I canceled. This time they were not friendly. They tried to tell me that the original contract was valid and it has been over 3 days so basically I was stuck. I told them no, that I canceled both contracts within my allowed 3 days. The supervisor then said it would be up to the President to determine if I would get any of my money back. It would go to their legal team and I may have to pay 10% of the original contract. He also said I would get a lawyer, they would get their lawyer and "you know how that goes". At this point, I knew there was no talking to them so the conversation ended and they left. I waited about a month and then called to ask about my refund. I was told it had not been processed and the financial department would get back to me. No one got back to me so I called and asked what was the status of my refund check. I was told that it was being processed and I should have it soon. I did receive it.

It is hard to tell the quality until we see how it holds up in the rain. The job itself was done competently. It was done quickly and neatly. The crew was responsive. There were negative comments on Angie?s List because of price, but I found the price was the same as another provider in the area. They have been in business longer so we went with them. This company is much more established.

What I liked is they kept me informed. The foreman introduced himself right at the beginning. He informed me of any changes and he and his people were very respectful. They cleaned up very well when the project was completed.

They made my basement stop smelling, and stopped the walls from leaking. The customer service was very good. I'm not particularly happy with what they did. They didn't let me know they were going to do certain things, and then did them anyways. I didn't appreciate that. The work is so brand new, so there are things that I am not completely sold on yet. I'm afraid that the stuff that they put on the walls will grow mold behind it. I am just not sure yet that everything that they did is perfect. The foreman was really good. He answered all of my questions, and I thought he worked well with me. The last day he was rushing the people out of here, and I thought they could have did the last bit of work more thoroughly. They were here when they said they would be, and worked until they said they would.

I had nothing but problems, it was a nightmare. The service was horrible and what was sold to me was not delivered. The supervisor of the crew argued continue sly. The follow up was very poor. I wouldn't recommend them.

Tried to cancel contract. They wouldn't even do that without sending out TWO sales people to bully me. They had already installed the EZ breathe (though they plugged it into a outlet that goes out when you turn off the light and put it right in middle of the room) so my *mistake* will end up costing me my $3000 down payment.

They did a lot of work and it was done really well. We were impressed with the guys that did the work. They did a good job. Everybody was real good and they did quality work. I think we got a good deal based on the work that they did. They guarantee their work.

I think they did a pretty good job. I had some problems. Just make sure you ask questions. They showed up on time everyday. They cleaned up after the work was done, except for when they had to come back and clean up the outside. When they finally did come out, they didn't put things back the way I thought it was suppose to be. There was some damage done. There was broken cement where the down spout was, and a down spout that had fallen off, but they came back and fixed it. There is one thing to know before deciding on this company and that is, that they have a little trick to get you to sign. They offer you one price for a certain amount of time, then the price goes up after the deadline.

They were unprofessional and are unknowlegable with the products. It did not fix our problem. We had to rehire someone else to come fix the basement walls. I would not recommend them to anyone.

He first quoted 17,000 dollars and then if we did today it would be 15,000 dollars. They use high pressure tactics. The sales man was very pushy. We got the price down 7500 dollars for one wall. We chose not use to their service. The next day somebody called to follow up, and they were pushy as well.

Two salesmen came out to the home and offered extremely high pressure sales tactics. They were very pushy and we did not appreciate the service.

When the person from Ohio State Waterproofing gave us the estimate, he gave us several options. Some were more expensive than the others. He worked with us for the financing. We got very good financing terms. He took a lot of time with us; I think he spent 2 hours explaining to us as to what they would do, what the guarantee would encompass and how the guarantee became transferable when we sold the house in the future. We had to pay a fee for the guarantee every year. They were expensive, but we haven?t had even a single drop of water in our basement since they did the work. They did a wonderful job. We can?t believe how neat they were about the work. They took out the concrete in buckets. They went down on the inside and the outside. On the inside, they sunk pipes and put in a back-up sump pump on a chargeable battery system. Recently, when we had a bad spell of rain, we heard it work. When they were all done, they covered it up and cemented it. They really did a good job. They were all very professional. We weren?t at home at all times. The guys were let in and we didn?t have any issues with them at all. They did what they said they would do. I thought they were great. Initially, we had 2 other contractors who came in, but we had to chase them down to get the pricing. Honestly, Ohio State Waterproofing weren?t the cheapest, but their price was fair for the work they did. The other contractors didn?t have the guarantee that the Ohio State Waterproofing provided. The work cost us a lot of money, but the work that was done has given us a lot of peace of mind. We know that when we eventually sell our place, the work done in the basement is going to be a great selling point. We consider it a good investment and we would highly recommend them.

Everything went very well. The salesman that came to the house was very knowledgable about what needed to be done and explained things well. When work started the workers were there on time and they worked well. By nature it is a very dirty job, but they made every effort to keep the dirt and dust to a minimum. I am very happy with the completed work.

We had an appointment scheduled for Monday at 6 pm, they called us 3 times on Saturday to confirm the appointment while we were out. We waited until Monday to return the call, they called promptly at 8 am once again to confirm. When we spoke to them, they asked us about 30 questions, and ended with "will you both be home for the estimate", when we let them know my husband would be leaving before 7, they asked if they could reschedule, as they need 2-3 hours with both spouses. When we told the lady that this was truly not an option for us right now to both be home for 2-3 hours she got very nasty and said they wouldn't help us. Now mind you, I had another company come for an estimate he walked into the crawl space, spoke to us for 10 minutes and left! This company was rude and unprofessional. They obviously wanted to sell us on something and or use some form of a scare tactic.

The man who helped me with my estimate was nice, but the work crew didn't do what they said they would do. I wasn't very happy because I had to call back and have several different guys come back and fix up the half-done job. The second crew that came out was older and more experienced, and they ended up doing a great job.

I have been very happy with them. They did the work a few years ago and it has held up very well. I was very happy with everything they did.

They are quick. They were in and out in two days. The mess was minimal. They were really friendly and they did the work when they said they were going to get it done.

I did not have a good experience with them. I was very dissatisfied with the management and the work. Their quality is okay; the basement isn t leaking. I used them because I had a warranty with them.

They did a good deal of jackhammering, so they left a mess with the concrete dust. As far as the work goes they did a great job.

The representative came out and spent 2 hour on the estimate. He was nice, knowledgeable and did a good job explaining everything that needed to be done. He did quote me $19,000 for the job. I was not satisfied with this quote because we had stated that we only wanted work done to just one wall. We have chosen to go with another company for the job.

The salesman was a little condescending, and the estimate was nearly three times higher than the lowest one, although the service was comparable. When it came to the moisture and water seeping into the house, he seemed to know what he was talking about but used high-pressure scare tactics to try to get us to sign the contract before we talked to the other contractors. We got several follow-up calls trying to pressure us into it, as well. Then, his supervisor asked to talk to us about a "special offer", which was turned out to be "sign before noon today" discount of 25 percent. They didn't have the references we were asking for (in our area).

When we cancelled their services they were very difficult. They did not want to cancel the contract. I sent a registered letter canceling the deal, but the company was very persistent and we almost had to get the lawyers involved.

Overall, I thought they were really overselling.

They came when they said they would, everything was on time. When I asked questions, they would always respond. My concern would be that when you hire them for the job, that they explain it a little better to you.

We were extraordinarily pleased. Other company's came and gave us bids. Ohio State was not the lowest, but we chose them for their high recommendations. They did the entire job in four days. The crew that they brought was very amazing, in the way that they cleaned up after themselves. It was a very good experience for us. They really knew how to do their job. They worked very hard to get the job done fast.
