So far, so great! From the crew to the service team in the office, everyone has been super. I am so pleased with how the basement looks, and the quality and thoroughness of the work product makes me think it should outlive me! The crew arrived exactly on time. The foreman explained everything they would be doing, step by step, and answered all of my questions as we walked through my basement, and around my house. He was knowledgeable, patient, and with an easy manner that made him very approachable - I could ask anything (and I had a lot of questions) and he took the time to talk to me. He's great, and an asset to the company. The supervisor was excellent. He's clearly experienced, and that expertise and professionalism shows in the efficient way he worked through the project, and he looked after me and my house like I was family. I didn't interact much with the crew, but they were friendly, and in good spirits - which makes me think they like their jobs, too. And the job finished exactly when the foreman said it would. I do have follow-up questions (there's a lot to absorb, and I should have written things down), but I am confident that OSW stands by its work, not to mention its warranty. Thank you thank you thank you. This was a big, expensive project, and I feel really good about my decision to go with OSW.

I wouldn't recommend this company sloppy work. They break things and then they don't fix them. They caused 30 grand of damage to my house and now won't fix it. I still get a wet basement and the whole job was just not as expected

My 87 year old aunt contracted Ohio State Water Proofing to water proof her basement in May 2022. It's January 2023, her basement is still leaking! After paying the company $26K - the basement is STILL LEAKING and the LEAK is in an area that wasn't leaking before!!! Well it's more like POURING into the basement now! They aren't even returning her calls now and they broke a sewage line and now are telling her that she needs to pay an additional $2K for them to repair it. WORST COMPANY EVER!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE! REFER TO THE BBB.ORG before choosing this company!!!

How did it go? It was a no go. This company called me FIVE times in a day and a half. Yes, I submitted an online inquiry, but that is serious overkill. The fifth call was before 9 am on Saturday so I answered. I figured the calls weren’t going to stop anytime soon. I told her it was the fifth call in a day and a half. Of course, she is just doing her job as a scheduler. I agreed to set up an appointment, named a date and said someone would be home by three. Well, then she wanted me to let her when BOTH spouses would be home. BYE. Too high pressure for me!

I couldn't be more pleased with the services that I received from Ohio State Waterproofing. It really started from the beginning. When I called to schedule an appointment the scheduler was very professional and asked meaningful questions about my project, and also spent time to go over their Covid protocols which really put me at ease. Then the project estimator was very thorough and knowledgeable. He walked me through all the different options I had to address the issues that were in my basement (cracking walls, water on the floor, straining on the walls). I ended up going with their multi step system and couldn't be happier. They also made the financing options easy by providing me with options to use different lenders. The crew that did the installation was very professional. They were very careful to adhere to Covid protocols while they were working here. During each step of the process they walked me through what they were doing and asked me if I was satisfied with what they were doing. The best thing I could say about the crew is that they kept my house clean during the entire project. That was very important to me because I have a toddler son and have another one on the way. I now have a beautiful water free basement that I have partially finished and made into a playroom for my toddler. The old adage of you get what you pay for was certainly true in this case.

They wanted 3 weeks to come out and quote. Then when they learned that I would be working in another state they refused to come to the house and work with my wife. Since my wife and I both own the house they require us both present. NOT a law, just company policy. If signatures would be required prior to work being completed then I could have easily done that. Instead I will work with another company.

OSWP came out on our insurance/annual protection contract to fix a leak/seepage problem caused by the electrical line having been put through the foundation improperly. They did excellent work.

Technician arrived on time, did the work quickly. He re-cemented the area so it was all smooth like the original. Have not had any problems with moisture in the basement because of this company.

The crew were on time every day. They took the time, at the end of the day, to show us what they had accomplished that day. They were very polite and courteous to us and our house. The crew spent time every day cleaning up any messes that were made. At the end of the week we were very happy with everyone that had a part in getting this project complete.

Ohio State Waterproofing found that I do not have a crack in my foundation. They were very professional and on time. I would use them again and recommend their services.

They excavated between 6 inches and 2 feet along the entire interior perimeter, and between 3 and 5 feet down on the entire exterior perimeter. He was uncomfortable going all the way down the exterior because of the condition of the block (hence the "combination"). The crew was about 5 guys per day for 5 days. They were all extremely polite, punctual, and clean. They really did do everything by hand. I think the only power tool they used was the jack hammer to open the slab. Otherwise, they dug, hauled, and poured everything by hand. All the underground storm piping had to be replaced all the way to the city hookup. They worked well with the city inspector and there were no permitting issues and it passed a dye test. They also installed a white moisture barrier on all the walls fitting snuggly to all the edges and corners (note: there's a ledge about halfway up so there are a lot of edges and corners - i was impressed). It was really a good crew. At the end of their work I talked on the phone with a woman from the main office. My impression was that she was the quality control person and was ensuring that I was not intimidated into signing off on the completion of the work. It's been about 1 year since they did the work and we have had no leaks or water issues. I run a dehumidifier in addition to the air exchanger and I don't have a problem keeping the space (30'x30'x8') at 35% humidity with a small device. The cost was, if I remember correctly, about $22,600. He quoted me initially something north of $25k but offered me an "on-call" discount where they scheduled service 3 months out and could show up any time if someone cancelled giving me as little as 24 hours notice. They started work on the scheduled date at the end of the 3 months. I probably could have negotiated a lower price, but I'm a terrible negotiator.

They come out every year, they check it and if something is wrong they will repair it without no charge. It's a lifetime guarantee.

Hardcore sales people! May 13, 2017, I signed an estimate for foundation and waterproofing the basement with a very nice salesperson. This was a Saturday. After consulting with family members and others who were knowledgeable about this company history and checked out the reviews online, I decided it will be necessary to cancel. I canceled my check immediately and called Ohio State Waterproofing. They would not cancel over the phone, which is suspicious already but scheduled to cancel personally on May 17, 2017. Canceling the check was not considered valid, according to them. The original sales person brought a pit bull of another sales person along, a so-called 'structural engineer', but after checking his qualifications - it turned out that he is not at all what he says he is. His estimate was double the original amount. Instead of $16, 000+, the estimate became $38, 000+. Unfortunately, I am a gullible senior and trusted these people, so they succeeded in talking me into signing papers. He explained that it is better to do the foundation and waterproofing the correct way. After I was advised by professionals and family members that this is a ripoff, I canceled the second estimate. Of course, they don't do cancel over the phone, again - they have to show up in person to make it official - the second time. Now they are threatening to sue me for the whole amount of the first estimate ($16, 000) since I canceled 'too late' (note: they did come to cancel that estimate originally, but could only schedule after the 3-days allowed, because a phone call was not enough). It is important to note that they would not have even been able to start the job until September! It has been a nightmare - DO NOT HIRE THEM! There are MANY better foundation and waterproofing companies at reasonable prices who are professional and who take cancellations by phone via their personal cell phones. This company is a huge RIP-OFF!!! By the way, the pit-bull had what looked like a gun in his back pocket, which was covered by his shirt. BEWARE!!!

My parents are both elderly and they had a basement leak that required major work back in 2008 from Ohio State Waterproofing. Just recently- 9 years later (long time), the pump that was installed failed. I was worried that OSW would not take care of the problem since being over 9 years later and just push the problem aside. Was I wrong!! What a fantastic company! I told them that my parents are elderly and needed special handling due to my mom being a caregiver for my dad. Rick was the tech who did a fantastic job. He was punctual and found the problem and installed a new pump and it was covered under their service agreement. NO CHARGE AFTER 9 YEARS! I believe the girl who answers the phone is Amber or Ashley and made sure everything went smooth on the service call. If you're thinking about getting work done, Ohio State Waterproofing is a company that stands behind what they sell-even after 9 years!! The company top to bottom seems solid! Thank you OSW!

That was actually covered by the warranty the prior owners had, so we didn't have to pay anything. I wouldn't have chosen that type of waterproofing, if I had to choose it, but for what they were asked to do, I'd say an A. It was completed timely and we have not had any issues since then. They did honor the warranty.

On time and very professional. They took great care not to leave a mess each day and kept me informed during the process. Job was particularly challenging due to poor soil conditions and weather but they managed well.

I would never use a provider that has false and misleading information on their website. Trying to charge a fee for the estimate ridiculous.

Great! When they came out, they saw the problem and fixed it. It seemed to be working but the next day it stopped working. They came back out and replaced the part the needed to be and everything is working fine now.

He looked around and took pictures. He spent 20 mins doing that stuff. When we sat down and talked about the issues he was being very condescending and and rude and treated me like I was stupid. When he was in my basement he took it upon himself to change the settings on my dehumidifier without my permission. A day later it tripped my circuit breaker and a lot of other electrical problems. Not positive that what he did had caused this issue but it did happen. It was working for years just fine and after him resetting it I had all these problems. After that he tried to hard sell me into some service again treating me like I was stupid. He offered me things that i didn't need done and came up with some $20,000 estimate. I don't want anything more to do with this company. I personally would not recommend this company whatsoever. Again, this is my own personal opinion!

I found them very good to work with, very professional, did the job in a timely manner, and had a good work ethic. They did what they said the were going to do. With all the rain we have received, the system has worked.

They did a really good job at a fair price.

I would recommend them. As we've been having problems with them, we call them a few days after to fix something and they came right away and fix it.

They continually try to upsell you. They only offer specific packages, and they won't adjust them according to your needs.
