Description of Work: I contacted them for an estimate. They came in a timely manner and gave me a decent estimate. I told him I wanted to get another estimate before I made up my mind. I did get another estimate and decided to go with Meurer.I emailed them to tell them I wanted them to do the job. I got no responce so I emailed them again. the receptionist apologized and said she would have Mike call me. I waited several days with no call. I called again and was told Mike was in a meeting and would call me as soon as he got out of the meeting. The man I talked to apologized and said that was not the way they did business. I waited several more days hearing nothing. At that time I hired someone else to do the job.

Description of Work: I had used J.K. Meurer before (selected from Angie's List) and knew they performed work of high quality. Our driveway was crumbling in one spot, water pooled during rains, and the apron outside the garage wasn't large enough to accommodate our vehicles. Meurer repaired and resurfaced the driveway and expanded the apron. We initially contacted them and received an estimate in June. I had another company give me an estimate and Meurer's price was comparable. The spring rains had delayed many of their other jobs and they weren't able to fit us in until September. But when they notified us of the days they would come, they were on time and completed the work as scheduled. My neighbor was impressed enough to consider them for upcoming repairs to his driveway.

Description of Work: They re-surfaced my asphalt driveway. The work they did was thorough and excellent. The only area I had any issues with was actually getting the job scheduled (4 months after signing the contract) and communication around the scheduling. Once scheduled, everything was wonderful.

Description of Work: Chad came by and studied the repairs that I needed. I wanted the driveway widened and graded to match the ground slope. I also needed part of the concrete in the garage removed and replaced because it had deteriorated and fallen in. Meurer cam and cut approximately half of the floor, filled in the base, and poured 5"new concrete with fiber mesh reinforcement. Very nice and professional job, and it looks great and the garage door now seals when closed. About a week later, after the concrete had cured and the weather permitted, Meurer came and removed the old driveway asphalt and unpaved areas and installed a new base with a drain pipe under the driveway from the house downspout. The next morning, they started paving and were finished before noon. Looks very nice, and my neighbors are very pleased that my driveway was transformed into an improvement to the neighborhood. Would definately use JK Meurer again !
