Description of Work: They installed a new hard drive and repaired my computer.

Description of Work: Myles was originally scheduled to do my work on Monday, 10/15 at 4PM, but his earlier job ran over and he called me at 3:30 to let me know that he would be about a half hour late. He called back around 5PM to let me know that he was still on his previous job and to see if I wanted to reschedule or if my installation was urgent. We rescheduled for Tuesday the 14th at 4PM. | |Myles arrived right on time and immediately started setting up my system. He was very knowledgeable and personable and answered any questions I had. He had everything set up and running within 2 hours and I was very happy with the service. | |I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

Description of Work: Cleaned out some malware; reset the operating system; installed the Windows Defender antivirus; and attached and set up an automatic update program for an external backup hardrive. Work was done well and ahead of schedule.

Description of Work: They evaluated my laptop to see if they could restore my information, which they were unable to do, the hard drive had failed. They recommended I purchase a new laptop rather than replacing it with a new hard drive due to the age of computer and the cost involved. They were great!

Description of Work: Lots of ads began popping up on my computer, and eventually they just took over - my computer totally crashed. I had read about Harold the Computer Guy on Angie's list and decided to give him a try. The response to my problem was quick, courteous, and professional. After speaking with other dealers who wanted to do the repairs, I was so relieved to find this one. They are relatively close to my home and we were able to get the computer there and it was fixed in about 2 days. Detecting my lack of computer saavy, they were very helpful in telling me how to avoid many future problems. They also gave me written advice to which I can refer back to, if necessary. I am very happy with the work they did for me and would highly recommend them, especially for novices such as myself. Other members of my family have tried this company, and are just as happy as I am with their service.

Description of Work: My old laptop was broken and the company transferred my data from the broken laptop to a new device. |They did a great job, even gave me some tips on how to use my new operating system!

Description of Work: I didn't use the Angie's list coupon. I don't recall if I told them how I found em. They backed up my laptop, and did a system clean up, also. Drove to their site for drop off, very helpful, will def use again and highly recommend.

Description of Work: He had previously worked on my computer, but was too old to be worth repair. He helped me pick out and set up a new computer based on what I use it for. |He makes it easy to understand for someone like me who is computer challenged. Very personable and works with each person on their level.

Description of Work: made it possible for our netbook to access our wifi. Corrected issues with our wifi that made it more consistent for all of our computers to access wifi.

Description of Work: My computer couldn't access the internet, and harold discovered a whole bunch of viruses, and other issues that were not only affecting my internet connection, but the speed of my computer. He came on a Saturday night, fixed the issue, and showed me some tricks to help me in the future. Great service, very knowledgable, and I will hire him again in an instant for problems in the future.

Description of Work: We couldn't get the printer to work. Harold is very competent and an excellent teacher. He has been helping us work through the coordination of all of our i phones, i pad, i mac and pc.

Description of Work: After signing up for computer repair through the Big Deal, Harold came to my house to do some general computer tune-ups. He called enroute to confirm our appointment (we"d had a lengthy power outage earlier in the day) and arrived promptly after the call. He spent the bulk of his 2.5 hours tuning up 3 of our family's computers. What separated Harold from other computer techs we've hired before was his easy going personality and his ability to speak in layman's terms about the work he was performing. He offered plenty of helpful tips and was more than happy for me to watch over his shoulder in order to learn a few things as well. In the end, he managed to clean out and speed up all 3 computers, while installing newly purchased anti-virus software. We were so impressed with his work that, right after he left, I tore up all of the computer Geek business cards in my Roledex and replaced them with his. From now on, he's the guy we'll call for our computer issues.
