Carpet Depot

Mark was very responsive and helpful. He gave us an estimate and then quickly installed a very nice carpet in a play room using a nice remnant. It is the best quality carpet in the house. Far superior to the builder carpet that came with a 450K house. Excellent padding, very soft, did great job with the seams. Have not used him recently but will soon as we are getting ready to recarpet the house in the next 1-2 years. We will definitely use Carpet Depot. Using few details as was some time ago, someone else tried to get us to just put it over the laminate floor--Mark's guys placed the tacking strips down and did it the right way. It has held up beautifully.

I was VERY pleased with my experience with Carpet Depot from start to finish. I needed new carpet. The old builder's carpet had holes in it. And, I needed alot of it: four bedrooms, hallway, stairs, living room and office. All of it touching so a single carpet was needed--no remnants. I had been EVERYWHERE else over two weeks and was frustrated and tired. I didn't even know Carpet Depot existed. I found them on Angie's list and stopped by. They had a wide range of carpets that I liked. The sales people were very helpful and had lots of technical information, with no pressure or upsell (they don't get paid on commission). They were working to make sure they met my needs. They helped me compare what they had to my lead options from the other places, and were willing to negotiate to get my business. I was able to find what I needed already in their warehouse and at a price I could not match anywhere else. The only hitch was in the paperwork. We did not complete everything before I got out of there after the purchase and we needed to do some of it by email/fax. We scheduled installation for two weeks away, which worked very well for my schedule getting everything ready. They sent an extra installer that allowed them to finish in one day instead of a day and a half. They were professional and efficient. They reworked a seam until they felt it was perfect, and it looks it. The old carpet and padding was taken away, and i was left with a clean house, everything back in place, and a beautiful floor. Forget the big box home places, forget the carpet outlets. Ignore the McSwains of the world, and just go to Carpet Depot first.

Our adventure started on Saturday when the flooring was delivered. The young man who delivered and unloaded the 40 boxes of materials was prompt, polite, and sensitive to the idea that we had to live with the piles until the installation on Monday. On Monday another two young men arrived promply to move all our furniture, tear up the old carpet and prepare the subfloor for the installer on Tuesday. Since our bedroom was empty and the other two were stuffed with furniture, we retreated to a motel for the night. Our installer arrived on time Tuesday and began the installation. He immediately ran into problems with the pocket door to the bathroom. In order to trim it, it needed to be removed which was not his area of expertise. Instead of muddling through, he called in a builder who removed and trimmed the door without tearing up my walls or molding. I was extremely grateful that he was secure enough to seek help. The intstallation continued from there without a snag until it was time to put in the stairs. Two of the risers were defective and had to be reordered. This delayed completion of the project for 10 days or so. Dissappointing but understandable. It was immediately reordered Throuout the installation, Carpet Depot was very customer friendly. They wanted us to be completely satisfied. Both the sales staff and construction staff went above and beyond to make our experience as convenient as possible. They sent a crew to put our bedroom back together on one day and another crew to move the rest of the furniture two days later. The second crew cheerfully carried my heavy furniture from place to place as I tried it in different areas. All in all, Carpet Depot arrived on time and completed the project promply. Their employees were neat, pleasant, and accommodating. While there were some snags, Carpet Depot fixed them willingly and promptly. It was a good experience and my floors look beauitful.

I highly recommend Carpet Depot for carpeting. Unlike others we considered, Carpet Depot is a locally owned business, its sales staff is not on commission, and the carpet installers are longtime employees of the company. Carpet Depot pricing is competitive. They were willing to provide a meaningful discount since we were re-carpeting the entire house. Jeremy Kaylor and Kathy Crane were especially knowledgeable and helpful in advising us on the carpet selection. With so many material, style, manufacturer, and color selection choices, their advice was invaluable! At no time did we feel pressured to purchase anything, nor did they limit their suggestions to only higher-priced carpeting. The installation was flawless. Both installers – Larry and Josand eacute;, were professional, knowledgeable, and experienced in carpet installation. They focused on getting the job done, cleaned up after themselves, and were a pleasure to have around.

They were very nice and helpful at the facility.

It's been a very good experience so far. Their prices are competitive. They are very friendly and professional to work with.

First thing in the morning, a phone call was made to the company and what I needed was explained to the woman who answered the phone. She took my name and number and told me the owner would contact me. Almost at the close of business that day I did receive a return call and I was given an estimate. I advised the owner I would think it over and contact him if I chose Carpet Depot for the work. I decided to have the work done and contacted Carpet Depot the following week. That same day, Jeremy contacted me and we tried to come up with a date and time the work could be completed (my job was a small job that he was hoping to squeeze in). Jeremey contacted me two days in a row and said they would try to get me in and they would call later in the day if they could get me in. After those two days, almost an entire week went by, so I called Carpet Depot and told them I hadn't heard from Jeremy for several days. Within an hour Jeremy called me back and gave me some excuses for not calling me sooner, but he had someone who could do the work that afternoon if that was ok. I agreed and Jose came to do the work I needed to have done. Jose was very good and very polite and was really concerned about whether or not I liked his work.

It has been 3 years since the carpet has been installed, the provider did great in the install, but now there are problems with the carpet. It needs stretched and I've reached out to the provider on several occasions. I'm even willing to pay for the stretching but they have been non-responsive. They keep telling me they will get back to me, but it has been over 3 weeks now. I've called 1X a week. Great companies provide service after the sale. I hate to post such a bad review since the initial work they did was great, but the point of Angie's List to communicate the good and bad. Definitely not feeling great about them anymore.

They were very good. They came out, in the beginning, for a second quote because we had got a quote from another company and we thought it was a little high. He came out and measured out basement and it was less than what the other company had quoted us. For him to come out for just a quote was pretty nice. They were very good. They installed it when they said they were going to. There were no surprises and everything went as planned. Every time they came out they said they would call before they showed up but they never called me they just showed up. They usually would come early in the morning so it was lucky I was up and ready.

Their service and price were both very good. The people who came out were quick and very courteous when they did the service. They did a really good job.

It went very well and the job was finished in about 1 hour. The leftover pieces of the carpet are being used in the basement.

There was no work done. Not a good experience.

Very well. The installers were on schedule. The work took almost 2 days to complete. They removed the old carpet/liner and also disposed of it. The installed carpet looks great and we really like the new vinyl in the laundry room. The Carpet Depot had a good selection of carpet, were competitively priced and I really liked the straight forward, easy to understand quote that included carpet and install. No surprise add-ons.

They were really great! The installation team are employees of the company, not sub contractors. Chris, the store manager, really went out of his way to inform us, and treated it as if he were carpeting his own home. He recommended a better padding with a moisture barrier, which will prevent problems with stains returning. It was very unusual to have a store be so responsive and so good!

Work done quickly and professionally.

I was pleased with them from the start when I visited the showroom. They are so knowledgeable. They don't subcontract the installation jobs out. They do it all for one price.

They gave me several options for the repair work and came promptly to look at it to determine what could be done and then to remove the hardwood so that the subfloor could dry before putting down the new floor. They did a beautiful job in spite of a few surprises in how the original had been installed. The only problem was that it took longer than expected. I would have like to be better informed about timing and any delays.

There was some delay as there was confusion about the way the tile was to be laid and more was needed. The tile looked great, but I was disappointed with the edge along the tub as the builder had put baseboard across it which I wanted removed. It took some time to figure out, but they were very willing to work with me on it until a solution was found. I am very pleased with the results in all three areas.

They main person I dealt with was willing to work with me on price. They guys that came out to install the carpet did a good job of installation and did well troubleshooting unforeseen problems. Their communication was not the best and was an issue. They did a good job and the work is fine its just their customer service is lacking.

Good. Apparently the carpet was mis-cut, so the carpet layers called the owner who came over and figured out a way to lay the carpet. I would never have know there was an issue-the carpet looks great.

They were timely and moved everything. They told us how to prepare for it and the price was manageable. They came when they said they would and did what they said they would do. We haven't seen any runs or seam lines and it looks nice.

The salesperson in the store knew his carpeting, and was able to help us quickly and efficiently. I didn't want seams, so ordered 15' carpet. It was ordered on Saturday and installed on Wednesday (11 days later). I was told installers would arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. (confirmed again by phone the day before). They were there at 9:00 a.m. and finished by 10:15 a.m.

Every employee was very polite and attentive when talking to me on the phone or while doing the job. The job completely exceeded my expectations. The only problem was to get them to start doing the job. They were not as responsive as I expected in returning my calls. Every time I called, someone different picked up the phone and I needed to explain every little detail over and over. It only took a few days to schedule an appointment after I paid in full, but, once the employee was at my place he sincerely accepted that the job was beyond his skill set. He told me he would go back to the store to talk with owner to send somebody else. Two weeks passed and I didn't hear from them. I called to check on the status and again, they didn't know who I was or what they needed to do at my place. Once the second guy showed up he did the job quickly, neatly and I have no complaints with the quality of the work that he did.

Good installation service and price. They did not have a lot of add on fees like most carpet places do. Therefore, it made the experience more comfortable. The installation went perfectly and we didn't have to be there.
